yeah when i did mine everyone told me that kind of power that the kits would pull the 4 speed trannys would never be able to hold it so i went w/ a 3 speed now i see everyone running 4 speeds lil aggravating. you doing an r top end?
what you mean hammer? and i'm from the states not sure what 100km/h is in mph. the yx motor is a pretty strong motor i have one a 187 takegawa R motor i personally think the motor is junk. i made it 4 laps around the track at a good pace and already hurt the tranny in it
yeah okee thats going really fast top speed but with lighter sprockets your acceleration is better , ist not faster on the straight , but depending on witch area youre gonna drive
Yes lighter sprockets will make accl faster but the amount of weight they remove is useless due to durablilty. The bikes setup for dirt and its setup right. IF it made that big of a diffirence then im sure norman would have noticed. HE KNOWS HIS SHIT.
in a straight line its not going to "look" any faster. i use to have both the R and the dohc and the dohc killed the R head in hp and tq on the track was a different story unless in the hands of a pro rider the majority of the ppl who rode the dohc was slower cause it is just simply to much for a 50 chassis
nice ride, heavy built up engine, home made or factory tuned? what stroke and bore did u use? should use the clutch tough, takegawa's gearboxes are pretty fragile and aren't made for that kind off abuse :D
all home made. from what i'm told i'm the first one to have put a 57mm crank in a crf 50 bottom. so its a square bore and stroke of 57 x 57. if takes gearboxes are fraile i wanna know what you guys are using cause i beat the hell out of it for over a year now still no problems.
there's a lot of difference between the gearboxes, the takegawa crf gearbox (3speed) is the best there is, but you only got 3 gears, i got the 5speed gearbox (race)and the 6speed gearbox from takegawa and it's realy fast, but pretty fragile,i know dozens of people who broke multiple gear sprockets, broken axes and so on, 57crank in crf bottom is pretty crazy :p
lol, wait ago to show off your wrist! but never the less awesome bike!

yea 12/10 wheels
storminnorman00007 4 years ago
you need more than only a 3 speed, mine has 6 gears then again my bike is a rm 85
fmxriot2 4 years ago
Is an RM85 a two stroke? That's why it needs six gears. Four stroke engines have a much wider spread of torque.

oh my dear lord 21.6 hp must be mental! do u think you will put a different gearbox on that? and did u spec up the 'box at all?
Deadjammy 4 years ago
how power is it 14-16 HRP?
macbang 4 years ago
last time on the dyno 21.64hp at rear and 10.90ft/lbs of torque
storminnorman00007 4 years ago
