The 010101.txt file was encoded in ascii. Simply Google an ascii chart, and match the numbers with the letters.

Notice how there are numbers in the file? (A) - That the decimal value for A.

- The value for B is 66

- The value for C is 67

and so on. This should help you understand what to look for in the charts.
