Imo, this is a much more down to earth and true version of both Taylor and Root, I mean, for christ sake, 35 year old men running around in weird masks singing about how hard it is to be a teenager.. xP

No disrespect to Slipknot tho, I love that band, I just think this was a very natural way of progression, and not in anyway Corey getting soft or "selling out" for the mainstream audience.
