i miss austria, i wish i hadn't moved to canada way back in 1997, everything is so far away here, you only get 2 weeks of paid vacation a year in comparison to austria where you get 4-5 weeks and I won't be able to move back to austria with my current low income job (pizza hut) and not until my boyfriend learns german.

@GSchlierenzauer I'm an Austrian in the USA. You'll never know how good it is at home, 'til you've been abroad for a longer period of time. Too many people seem to forget that when they complain about their countries. Anyways, here's one loosely translated "Red-White-Red, til I'm dead" - go for it and spend some time in Austria. It's well worth it and will be an experience you'll never forget!

My mom is from Austrian, and I have alot of Austrian in my heritage and ancestry along with Scottish, Hungarian, Check, Russian, and a few more cool ones. I am english born and have alot of cool ancestry there, too. I have strong royal Baron ancestry with Hungary:) I am so proud of it all, especially the Austrian part...And this song just says so much for me.

Ich hoff es geht so weiter wie jetzt, damit meine Kinder auch in einem der reichsten und sichersten Ländern der Welt aufwachsen können.
Und sich auch über deppen wie dich amüsieren.
Das gehört zu den österreichischen Privilegien.
Wenn dein Kind deinen Rassismus mitbekommt und sich auch dementsprechend verhält wundert es dich wirklich, wenn es Probleme mit Ausländerkindern hat?

Österreich ist mit Abstand das schönste Land, mit einer Kultur die es mit nichts zu vergleichen gibt. In keinem anderen Land wird Kultur,Tradition und Geschichte so verbunden wie bei uns. die deutschen sollten sich mal freuen, dass ihre hartz4-ossis bei uns die klos putzen dürfen und ihre dummen party-studentinnen, die im eigenen land keinen studienplatz bekommen, hier die beine breit machen dürfen. mit dieser gansta-rap attitüde, die seit ein paar jahren die kultur in deutschland prägt, komm ich echt nicht klar, die sollten mal lieber abklären, warum immer noch zehntausende britische and amerikanische soldaten in ihrem land stationiert sind.

This song always bring tears to my eyes, I am so proud to be lucky enough to be Austrian, through my parents even though I have grown up on the other side of the world in New Zealand. I treasure every moment I spend in Austria, such a beautiful country where I feel at home away from home. I am so lucky to have both places as home and in my heart!

I so love this place! with gourmet food, the perfect ski villages, so much fun and incredibly relaxing, perfect chocolate croissants, cool and very big shopping malls, fun streets to wander, exciting, architecture, the amazing parks, and the people who are so polite and helpful. Im going there again for sure!
