The red stuff around their eyes is hereditary but I'm not sure what it's called. Most sammy breeders would prefer not to continue breeding dogs with this gene type because frankly it is ugly and can lead to issues further down the road. My family has been breeding these dogs for 30 years and this leads me to believe that this is not a reputable or registered breeder, but someone who trying to make a buck.

@Baconpiece its from when they cry. their tears dry up and turn a redish brown color. theres nothing wrong with them at all. and its a lot easier to see it on white dogs so that probably why you dont see it on black or brown dogs

Cute yes, but look at their eyes...not a good thing. They all have eye infections....this looks too much like a puppy mill to me....

Dogs have a reddish brown tinge to the mucus that comes from the eye.

All dogs have the same problem, its just that it is more noticeable against the white fur of the Samoyed.

Most white dogs have this problem, and is easily removed in the course of their grooming regime.

@Junebug021 it looks more like tear staining than infection to me. Most white dogs have this problem such as the Maltese and the Bichon Frise so I'm not surprised to see that on these white furred Samoyed.

Both of our Sammies have been rescued dogs, and you couldn't ask for more loyal, affectionate, intelligent dogs. DEFINITELY have to train them, though - they're smart enough to make a job for themselves if you don't - and you might not agree with what they choose! Cute, cute pups.
