There is something so real to her dancing. She has taken on a character and truly evokes what a dying swan would look like. I always akin this piece to what a prima donna is like when her career is ending- pushing so hard for something but then just ending. She is a master

She was born to dance this... no matter how old she is, this belongs to her.

The video is horrible, though. I saw another, old, crude version of her performance, and I (a retired man on an exercise bike!!!) burst into tears and began gasping at the sheer beauty of it. It was just her, all her.

Skip the framing, the close-ups of the musicians and the lighting on them, the sounds of the audience. All distractions!!! Keep the cameras tight on her throughout, only on her, and the music strictly audio. That's the only way she truly BECOMES and STAYS the swan.

Just sublime. Best D.Swan ever. Amazing that she was born in an unimaginably remote and grotty Arctic island mining outpost...that from amongst such filthy slagheaps of frozen hell came such loeliness (and great humanity).
