I bought this to replace my broken N95 and the navigation is free and has a standalone GPS for navigation so it doesnt require internet or sim card although its slower.

The question is if this is a standalone navigation device. I mean when you need internet for downloading maps, this device is worthless in my opinion.

It's said - Ovi Maps - which are free for ever and are preloaded on memory card - so you don't need an internet connection to use navigation.
