An MTX 9500 will smoke a jl audio w7 all day. Do your research..... I just sold two MTX 8500's and bought two jl audio w6's. The w6's are much lighter, smaller magnet ext.... I miss my 8500's... and a brand new mtx 8500 goes for $250, w6's go for 265... Also MTX sucks unless you have the 8500 or the 9500 but those subs are tanks.... indestructible.

@lsilver6 I don't know about it smoking smoking a W7, but I do believe that the 9500 DEFINATELY gives you WAY more for the money than a W7 does. Personally, I like the 9500 better, but that does not make the W7 just flat out inferior.

The last time I checked, subwoofers that can handle upwards of 3000Watts of continous power were not expensive if they were under $500 bucks. The Fi BTL is actually one of the cheapest subwoofers in that power range dude. Just so you know, the XXX is only rated at an unchangeable, unupgradeable 2000Watts rms and is at least $100 more than a fully loaded BTL.
