Yes, I read that, ultimately, it was refurbished and and operating near Nassau Community College. That said, I lost touch with L.I. in the mid to late 70s when I went upstate to college, the to NYC, then to L.A. Would love to go back to visit for nostalgic reasons. Remember Wetson's hamburgers? There was one right by Nunley's
WOW! Excellent post! I do remember this place, only I was going in the mid to late '60s, though it looks mostly the same circa '82. Wow- the hand-cranked carts- This IS what they looked like in the '60s.
@goodcopbadcopmusic - have you seen the carousel? It's been fixed up and is now displayed and opened to the public up by Nassau Community College (by the aviation museum)
i have some of the best memories of my life there alot with my little sister who has passed away this video made my day and helped me to feel closer to kelly again
We used to go to Nunleys in the early 70's as kids, and then I took my children there in the mid 80's. What a paradise for little children. I loved the carousel, the bumper cars, the spinning cups, "ski-ball" and the fortune teller machine.
the ferris wheel is at Jordan's Lobster Farm now! (not working)

What a trip. I grew up in RVC and spent a lot of time here as a kid.
Thanks for posting!
