  • sure would be nice to go back to those days before the poltiically correct scumbags started thier war aginst everything fun

  • Camel non filters? Hack, hack, cough, cough I remember my uncle used to smoke cough, them. Hack, cough, spit, hack, hack and I used to sneak some from him. That's how he managed to die in his 40's and I don't smoke now!

  • Camel non filters? Hack, hack, cough, cough I remember my uncle used to smoke cough, them. Hack, cough, spit, hack, hack and I used to sneak some from him. That's how he managed to die in his 40's and I don't smoke now!

  • Here kids, have a pack of cigarettes! LOL

  • No wonder every Christmas my house smells like smoke

  • *gasp* Pop always told me Santa was a Marlboro brand man!

  • In those days, cigarette manufacturers always suggested, in their radio and TV ads around November and December, a variation of this pitch:

"Why not give the PERFECT gift for Christmas? A carton of 'Puffos', with Santa's AND Ferd Noblink's picture on it! What better way to show the ones you care about how MUCH you care for them....by giving them what THEY want the most? Taste, mildness...and the pure joy of smoking! Give the gift of 'Puffos' this Christmas! Better yet-- give TWO cartons...."

  • Ahhh... Those were the good old days, when kids could smoke, women were strung out on ephedrine, and everyone was blowing out their rectum from eating too much red meat!

  • What kind of trailer trash gives A Case of Camels for XMAS??

  • Santa does look like a smoker here. Quality of life was better when we had leaded gasoline, lead paint, asbestos siding, asbestos insulation etc....now everything is shit. The better technology got, the crappier it got. Come on all it took to cure an STD was a shot of penicillin. I'm going back to 1950.

  • i want a carton for christmas.

  • Holy shit! They used Santa Claus as a marketing symbol to sell their cigarettes. How evil, sleazy, conniving, diabolical and low the tobacco companies could get. >:(

  • If a "friend" gave me 200 cancer sticks for Christmas I'd know that someone was trying to kill me off.

  • "This Christmas, give the gift of tar and nicotine."

  • @duckman531 Give the gift of cancer lol

  • @MrJamfoof Looks like we got a great ad slogan here!

  • Awesome. Smoke em' if ya' got em' Santa. *cough* *cough*

  • Fuck the Red Ryder BB Gun with a compass in the stock, ( I'll just shoot my eye out anyway) I want a carton of Camels or Winstons for X--mas Mom and Dad. I remember when people got Cigs for X-Mas. Hell they were only $5 a carton back in the early 70's.

  • @cinerama62 yeah people also made only $2 to $3 dollars an hour as well do the math today it still ads up to be the same price maybe just a little higher today

  • @MrJamfoof the state taxes on cigarettes have increased way past inflation

  • @inkey2 Do you think so? My uncle said when he was in Vietnam, when they were on ships outside the territorial waters of the US they could buy Camels duty free. I think he said they were like 12 cents a pack.

  • @clintonearlwalker back in the old days the US Military always made cigarettes real cheap to servicemen. In fact in some of their food rations included small packs of cigs

  • @inkey2 When I was buying cheap pipe tobacco the other night to roll my own cheap cigarettes, the guy in front of my bought several cartons of real cigarettes. I don't remember how many he bought but it wasn't very many, I think it was about 8. I remember the price he paid though, $574.00.

  • @clintonearlwalker oh I don't doubt it.....due to the heavy state taxes slapped on cigarettes they cost a fortune now.

  • Cancer for chrismass yey !

  • At 80 bucks a carton now it's not so cheap to give Camel's as a gift.

  • @ricknbonnie1 Give thanks to your government.

  • lmfao lets give a round of applause for the fifties

  • Merry Christmas to all! But don't light up.

  • Bad Santa :P

Giving the good little kids Lung Cancer

  • santa=satan?just a thought...

  • @HopefulObsever.your particular type of eccentricity is very frightening.for their sakes avoid very young children and the elderly..

  • never did trust that fat bearded cunt....

  • Sounds like Thurl Ravenscroft, the guy who voiced Tony the Tiger and did alot of voice work for Disney.

  • That's actually an expensive gift, the last time I checked a carton of camel nonfilters was at least 50 bucks and I live in a tobacco state.

  • @Lrpesme48 cigarettes were not taxed to death back then (as they are now)......a carton of cigs in the old days was not all that much money for the time. My parents didn't have much money in the old days but they always bought a carton or two for a christmas gift

  • @inkey2 I remember when it was like that.

  • @RetroToledo actually.....I remember the Christmas Gift Cartons often came with a free promotional cigarette lighter

  • @inkey2 Oh that was nice!

  • either santa claus is really really tiny, or cigarettes were freakin' HUGE back in the '40s. it looks like he's carrying a carton full of cartons!

  • That's one creepy looking Santa Claus.

  • OMG!!! Hahahahahaha

  • THIS IS HORRIBLE. I thought he was supposed to sell lucky strike... Also that maketing to kids thing

  • People who don't smoke still get some pretty crappy illnesses when they get old too. Don't think that because you don't smoke that you are going to die from " Happyitis" Most people die from some type of cancer. Nobody is immune to awful old age sickness.

  • @Discoboy504

yeah, as a friend of mine in the medical field is fond of saying: "if you live long enough, you're going to die of some kind of cancer anyway."

  • @giantmothlbr yeah, thats right....if you live long enough you will either die of cancer or a heart related illness. Think of it.....the longer you live you are sucking in more and more poisons from the air etc. I am 58 years old and the first 35 years of my life I breathed in leaded car exhaust all day. All gasoline had lead in it to lubricate the valves in cars

  • Oh no, we never wanted kids to start smoking, our products are for adults only

  • I may be wrong, but after watching the Grinch for so many years I'm pretty sure that's Boris Karloff's voice in the ad.

  • @timcrtr that isn't Karloff.....not even close

  • A+ John uk

  • thanks santa for the cancer (cough)

  • @Real2DaTalk yeah make sure you consume consume all that bullshit your kids dont need and will just throw away in a few months..get a few happy meals too while youre at it

  • these cigarettes are hard to come by, there's a store near my house and they sell these for $7.25 a pack

  • @83snoopdeville That's all? Try Manhattan, lol. 12 bucks,

  • @rafterscott twelve bucks a pack you mean.

  • @rafterscott $12.00 a pack you mean

  • @83snoopdeville My uncle was in the Air Force in the 50's and 60's, he said when he was on a ship outside the territorial US waters, he could buy Camels duty free. I think he said he paid like $1.75 per carton. He always had plenty of packs of Camels around. He's had several lung problems and the doctor has told him to quit, he still occasionally smokes to this day.

  • Creepy!

  • Give the gift of cancer. Ho-ho-ho!

  • "Merry Christmas, Grandma! Hope you like cancer!"

  • I love 1940's-1950's America.

  • they corrupt every holiday...make sure to put booze in the eggnog kids!

happy new yearr!!!!! GLUG GLUG GLUG...wooohooo its easter..spring break...somebody funnel this beer!!!!!

hey its saint paddies day!!!! cinco de mayo!!!! WOOOOoooo

  • He is a very scary looking Santa.

  • this commercial was clearly designed for adults right...an animated santa claus

  • @human0un In the 40's adults watched cartoons a lot. Disney and Looney Tunes were produced for troops. It's a shame that cartoons are so unfunny and child focused now that people think that they're only for young children.

  • Santa became a pussy

  • I still get them for Christmas....

  • Holy shit! You cant say merry christmas on tv! Someone will be offended.

  • @poop1is1cool1wakakak Yea they say happy holidays

  • @poop1is1cool1wakakak why cannot you say merry Christmas on T.V?

  • @estesoyojajaja religon douche bags...

  • It's gift packed!...ready to kill!

  • I hope there will be even more restrictions on where smoking is allowed & that the cigarette tax goes up to 29%. Those non-filter brand like Camel produce more intense smoke & generate more chemical pollutants. Camel is the brand that old men smoke.

  • @alloutoftime

It was the brand that kids of the 80s and 90s were enticed to smoke, most notably in later times.

  • @SteveCarras Thats true.

  • Scary...

  • wow no wonder all the baby boomers smoked. i sure as hell wont

lol i like in mafia 2 all the people are talking about how cigarettes could cause health risks

  • HO! HO! HO... cough cough cough

  • @statman06 LOL - Only an idiot makes a post like yours. Much like a trained seal at the zoo. LOL!

  • People still give cigarettes as Christmas presents.

    Whatcha talkin' 'bout, Willis!?

  • Wow, remember the hue & cry over Joe Camel promoting cigarettes? Here, Santa Claus himself is doing it!

  • I'm almost positive that's Thurl Ravenscroft as the voice of Santa!

  • @LandondeeL I thought the same thing. That has to be Thurl Ravenscroft's voice...it's so distinctive.

  • Actually, I think this commercial came out in the early Fifties. Santa was used to sell both Coca-Cola and cigarettes back then. Chesterfield had some great full page ads on the backs of magazines. Bob Hope and Bing Crosby were both sponsored on radio for Chesterfield (as Gunsmoke was later). One year they even had Crosby dressed as Santa holding a carton of cigarettes and he usually smoked a pipe.

  • @ ORUPRANKSTAZ Rofl I hear ya. Im with ya on that no1 knows how to mind thier own business anymore. lmao

  • Smoke up, old america was the best, it is a shame, now we cant even have a cigarette commercial on t.v! Whats next fast food commercial.

  • @BlackCoffee382

You should see the new labels the FDA is mandating by 2011. Goodbye freedom to smoke without guilt.

  • @BlackCoffee382 yea there should be cigarette commercials on tv so kids could see santa selling them and so they want to smoke at age 5... they should also make "suicide for dummies" and put that on tv also being sold by santa...

  • @BlackCoffee382 it's coming

  • @BlackCoffee382 It's like that over in the UK.

  • @BlackCoffee382 Do you know why they are banned? or are you trollin?

  • @BlackCoffee382 I'd rather ban the college beer comercials

  • IM guessing its a good thang crack wasnt around then lmao

  • @jefferylovesautumn

Actually, it was. No one talked about it, though. :) We used to have a thing called privacy and minding your damn business. lol

  • @ tracytcb etc. Did you actually read what I said? Your gramps have good genes, let's hope you inherited them. Sod-all to do with smoking or not smoking, though

  • @mangalpandy yeah i understood what u said it has a lot to do with good genes but u can live a long life even if u do smoke by smoking u dont have to die young i wasnt saying u were wrong at all i was explaining even thou my pop smoked he lived a long life thanks i hope i have good genes

  • haha that was great even santa got in on the act

  • @ cadauctions 31 - average life expectancy in the USA iin 1900 was 46 for men, 48 for women; over the decades it has grown, and is now about 76 for men, 81 for women. If your grandparents actually did live to 90+, then that's mainly down to genetic.

Your post is just lazy opinionising, devoid of actual content. And if I was having an operation, I'm damned if I'd want some doctor dropping his fag ash into my open wounds.

  • @mangalpandy You're right there. Smoking hasn't helped them live until they are 90. They were either lucky, as a small percentage of people do get lucky (by not getting cancer / serious health problems), did not smoke, or led a healthy lifestyle and ended up giving up smoking.

I hate mindless comments with no basis, as you said.

Its funny they used to hand them out to people at hospital to make them feel better too!

  • @jjintheuk There's that intolerance popping up.

  • @mangalpandy i live in australia my grandfather smoked when he was young then gave them up he lived untill he was 91 my grandmother never smoked and she turned 93 in april of this year

  • cool vid, thnks !

  • It's unbeleivable how much the world has changed. See hwat intolerance can cause. This used to be acceptable. Doctors smoked in the operating rooms for crying out loud, and yet our grandparents still made it to their 90's in most cases. Go figure!

  • @cadauctions31 no they didn't you tit.

  • @RobbieTyler1 Look up the statistics you moron! As a matter of fact look at the commercials with doctors pushing certain brands. And my grandmother smoked pall mall non filters until she wa 91, and she did not die from cigarettes. I could argue this with you, but I doubt you have the brain power to understand it since all you can do is call me a tit.

  • @cadauctions31 doctors did not " smoke in operating theatres".. your gran may have lived to 91 while smoking, you can drink and drive evry night and make it home.. it does not mean its a good idea.... as for brain power.. I lecture in sciences so I would be very pleased to argue this with you.

  • @RobbieTyler1 First, if you lecture in science I would assume you would have taken some kind of ethics course in which case you would not call me a moron for not agreeing with you, and second, when the hell did I say it was a good idea? All I said is that it used to be acceptable, and now the intolerance has made it not acceptable. How the fuck are you going to argue that when smokers have been completely segregated from the non smokers? Do some research & I will be happy to debate it!

  • @cadauctions31 And before you go into why smokers are segregated, I do not think non smokers should be forced to inhale smoke from smokers, but if a non smoker goes out to a bar for example, they should already know that hteir willl be smokers there, and if that is not acceptable then don't go. Or, give smokers back the smoking sections. Smokers are contributing more tax dollars than anyone, and yet they have the least rights, because of the intolerance!

  • @cadauctions31 And in the 1800's it was not uncommon for a doctor to have a cigarette when performing an operation. I never said anything about "Operation Theatres!"

  • @cadauctions31 Why would I have to taken an ethics course to lecture??.. so no i didn't. I did not call you a Moron, that would mean you a stupid, i called you a tit to mean that you are foolish. Reading your last post, however you do come over as a moron. Sort your argument out and come back as I really don't think you know what you are talking about. Are you drunk?

  • @RobbieTyler1 O.K. you called me a tit, big difference. And why would you take an ethics coarse? I don't really know why you would bring in the fact that you are a science lecturer... this is an ethical issue more than science. I would even argue that it is a moral issue, science has nothing to do with it, so I am sinply saying to you, if you do lecture in science, then I assume you went to college, and if so then some kind of language coarse should have been needed, and it may have given you

  • @cadauctions31 the proper ethics on how to debate someone. And honestly I don't beleive for one minute that you lecture in science. You are not articulate enough in my opinion to give lectures to anyone, unless you are doing them to grammer school kids.
