The second Stargate was going to expand the connection between Egypt and Mayan culture and on to Greek culture. The series did nothing but bastardize the concept of traveling into the universe and banking on that concept alone.

Except in this case he is the template for an actual god, Even if Ra is actually just a very empowered alien he understands so much of how the universe works that he really is a God. He is not hurting these people, not mention of radiation sickness, just having them supply him with the potent mineral.

i did watch those episodes moebius 1and2, but ra's appearance and part was so small... im talking about making him the villain again (hey even though a nuke blew up in his face anythings possible in sci fi...lol)
Well Stargate Continuum, kinda follows the same storyline as Moebius, except instead of SG-1 screwing up the timeline, someone did it on purpose. So who knows who might show up.
@shamvara I agree that Ra was awesome. He even had Anubis and Horus as his guards. Now, before any SG1 fanboys protest: remember, the TV series came AFTER this movie. The two main guards ARE Anubis and Horus, they're even referred to as such in the credits. Unfortunately, greedy TV execs had to create a spin-off series where everything from the movie canon was f***** up. Even Ra's alien race (to hell with that Goa'Uld/Unas/Asgard stuff).
