Actually, the official language is Dutch in the Flanders. But mostly every province and city has a different Dutch dialect. All these dialects are considered Flemish. So in fact there is no general Flemish. We just refer to the dialects on basis of their province or city it is spoken. For instance "Antwerps" or "West-Vlaams".
