  • I would turn gay for that delay

  • Could it sound like the Binson Echorec II that David Gilmour from Pink Floyd used in the early days of PF?

  • On cost, I will say after 40 years of playing, hard work, good fortunes and eye for quality allows me to have some items like this. Much the same as I can play pretty damn good (or bad depending on the opinion of the listener) on a $150 Squire and a $100 Fender SS Amp, but it is not the same as when I play on a Custom LP or American Strat through a high quality amp. Best thing I ever did as a kid was work my butt off and went from cheap electric to Custom LP in 68, still have it, still great.

  • It is also very good with good reverb, especially like and old Premier Tank or one of many reverb combos such as many of the classic Fenders, or my personal favorite a DR Z EZ50G. Also for certain playing, it works fantastic when used into the effect loop of and Old Orange ORM-120. IS it for everyone, no, is the cost worth it for everyone-no, but the many that have tried one or have one, is it fantastic-YES.

  • katarzis27, Beautiful playing, great sounds and glad to see you making the TTE come alive.

UKToneKing and other, this is not a reverb, it is a Tape Echo Machine like the orginal Echo Plex but with better motors, new construction, and reeking quality build. It is expensive comapred to a stomp box yes, but it is not expensive for what it is. There is some great stomp boxes that will get people the sound they want, but there is many other that are pure garbage. I love mine

  • was the distortion coming from the fultone ?

  • sounds so amazing

  • It's nice but I cant see shelling out $1200 for this when my Guyatone MD3 solid state delay works just as good. To each their own I guess!

  • @ryanspeed their is no way your Guytone works just as good as this unit, this is the best reverb unit money can buy, it pretty much smokes the fender unit, these honestly give U the best reverb in the world, they sound way better than reverb on amp circuits, people in the 60s with twin reverbs ect, were still buying this type of unit for their reverb, it is killer, I agree it is expensive, but it is a unit not a pedal, hand built ect

  • @UKToneKing Okay, maybe I was being a little exaggerated...but in it's own league my MD3 does sound really good with no noticeable tone loss, something that plagues a lot of other solid state delay units. Aside from that I still can't see paying that insane price of $1200 but like I said my friend to each their own!

I paid $70 for my MD3 when bought new. I could take the rest of the $1130 and buy a nice guitar or 2. Just my opinion....

  • @ryanspeed I could probable go out and buy the unit also, but I would think to myself, if I buy an mxr carbon copy and with the change buy a silverface deluxe reverb, which has nice reverb on it, some of these old timers bealeve that this tape echo is the bomb, and it is the holy grail of tones, but I would myself just buy a vintage amp with reverb on, old timers bealeve vntage amps with reverb on are not the best, they think wehen fender added reverb to their amps, it was a no no back then

  • @UKToneKing its a dtape delay, not reverb...

  • @CommBreakDown I know, some of the good ones have a reverb built in as well, the Fullerton one does not, but blue coconut do an echoverb unit, which is amazing like, I always think tape echos sound very reverb like anyway, but I was blown away by the echoverb unit I heard, I have been pondering on buying one, U can pick a used one up for half the price if U get lucky, not many for sale tho, as no one wants to sell them, they are better than any pedal I have heard

  • @UKToneKing o0o0o0o you've just inspired me :) time to search Ebay

  • pure porn!

  • Run Like Hell!

  • What is the name of the song you were playing starting at 1:26? It sounds so beautiful!

  • lol I completely forgot about this video. Was just researching some Pedals. My comment was ' + 1" lol. Cool. Lovely sound.

  • If I had the money,I'd "Run Like Hell"to Fulltone tomorrow.absolutley kills my roland space echo.excellent guitar playing throughout.please post more.

  • If a rich guy who wants to help young gigging musicians reads my comment, I need one of these, please, give me one.

  • sounds beautyfull. im a bedroom player, so i've enough with my tc flashback, but this is gorgeus

  • loved that you played run like hell the tone is weet

  • so cool, so vintage, so expensive...

  • i want it but it is more expencive than my guitar

  • Which cables do you use on your pedalboard? I read something with george but i can't find something. They look interesting!

  • I have a qustion.. this delay goes trough the fx loop of the amp ?

  • Almost all the comments refer to the price being too high....why don't Fulltone do something about that??? Move the production to China for example.

  • @Nickofaballooni

cause fulltone has integrity and hand makes all their pedals in california. i personally would rather pay more for quality than pay $5 for shit that breaks in 10 minutes

  • @tcostas46383 ...I've just brought a Tokai 100 made in Japan 'Les Paul' for £800, I could have brought a compatible Gibson for £2,200, having owned Gibson in the past I find the Tokai is every bit as good and the finish is actually better. So, I won't be paying for integrity.

  • @Nickofaballooni take it from a luthier.. expensive gibsons that sell for 3000u.s dollars, have the same quatilty of 500 dollar epiphones.

tokais are a very good choice, and some of them are even better than the real les pauls.

i know of people that make a living out of fixing les pausl broken necks.

  • @odinmp5 ...I agree.....lol.

  • @odinmp5

    Wrong.

  • @echosyst you probably own a 400 piece of wood that says les paul on the headstock.. and you paid 1800 for it. and you think you are slash...?

most of the people that bring me their les pauls think that way.

  • @odinmp5

I hate Slash so let's get that out of the way. You must not be a guitar player but as a luthier you should know the materials used in the Gibson line are superior as is the overall quality and workmanship. Simply playing them side by side reveals the differences very quickly. You are basically saying anyone who buys a real Les Paul is an idiot because they are being ripped off. I guess that makes you smarter than millions of actual musicians.

  • @echosyst superior materials, i doubt it.. superior workmanship, sometimes,,( made before 1992 ,superb, 2007 the worst) . differences, maybe,, epiphones give more harmonics easily,, and some les pauls are very heavy. most of the times, les paul owners are idiots, fooled by a name of a company.

why pay 1800, for somethign you can have for 500?

i play the guitar too, and i find it funny, to hear replicas that outperform the original.

this year i have fixed at least 25 broken les paul necks.

  • @odinmp5

The reason Les Paul's are heavier is because of the wood. More sustain and better sound is the result. So now everybody who plays a Les Paul is an idiot? Wow, that would include some pretty amazing musicians who are pretty smart too. Be sure to tell your customers they are idiots too, see what they think of your idiocy.

  • @echosyst you can get sustain from millions of sources,,,including light wood.

on the other side , most of the les pauls you see hanging from your favorite artist are either made before the 90s (good les pauls), ace frehley, frank zappa, or totally customized les pauls. example, rush, aero smith , zakk wilde ,,, or a les paul that its made by a luthier and the only thing gibson in it , is the label on the headstock , your hated slash.

  • @echosyst i dont have to say anything to my customers... when they see the insides of their les pauls, and how the necks are of the lowest quality, they realize the mistake they made. and whien some one asks me, what guitar to buy, i just tell them. avoid the new les pauls, adn most fo the gibson products.

im not the only one, go to ed romans website and read the rant section. the guy worked for gibson, he knows it more than me, and he writes about it, and he is merciless.., worst than me.

  • @odinmp5

Sorry I don't find your story compelling. Most folks buy guitars at music stores. They play them first and compare them to other models, including the Eppi's that are in every store. It isn't as if they don't know what they are getting before paying 2000 bucks. You are trying to convince me that AFTER THE FACT, they get home and realize they bought junk. I have been playing for 30 years and have met 100's of players and nobody that owned a Les Paul (new or old) ever told me that.

  • @echosyst you can go to ed roman site, you can see the pics and the testimonials of plenty of gibson customers. its not only me.

  • When I bought a Watkins Copicat in 1965 it cost £38 and a Vox ac 30 was £105. therefore the Copicat was aprox. 33% of the Vox.... where are they now almost the same.... surely this 'Fulltone' can't be that different to the Watkins.

  • 2:20 to about 2:50 is that zelda? like the original SNES or game-boy one

  • 2:20 to about 2:50 is that zelda?

  • Fucking Beautiful.

  • this sound is fantastic;) I thought about TTE, but price...;/;/

  • it sounds good, but not 1000$ good

  • @TrippyTheShroom I HEAR THAT MAN!!! I just saw this thing on Musician's Friend for something like $1300+ & I honestly wasn't expecting to see a youtube demo of one...

  • Really nice tape echo! I love the crunch tone!

  • sounds beautiful... from the very start it matches eric johnsons tone... ahh...long musical way before me... why is this so expensive !?

I would like one now :)

  • I have never heard an echo sound so beautiful, and its not JUST the playing either. That thing sings to the heavens...

  • Reminds me of some Brian May stuff going on at the start :D Beautiful

  • @SlashWorshipper1993 Brian May?! Thats David Gilmour, good sir! Run Like Hell off of The Wall.

  • \0/ IMCOMPARABLE with digits!!! \0/

  • There's a sweet crunch going on at 4:17. Where does it come from? Your amp? Some other pedal? Or maybe from TTE?

  • @Niraham Mostly from the TTE.

  • @Niraham them tape echo jobs are a £1000, really nice sounding, but that's more than a good amp

  • @Niraham the TTE has a tube in it, so it helps push a tube amp that bit extra, great if U want to get a bit more grunt out of your amp, this is a unit not a pedal, which is why it is expensive, hand built, would have took some time to make to this standard

  • that thang sounds like heaven!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 0:37 ...dream-like

  • Comment removed

  • The Edge would be proud.

  • Wow, really great sound. How many tubes does it have? 12AX7's?

  • DROOLING. wanna lend me 1200 bucks?

  • I own a RE-201 and an RE-150 and have had the chance to play on a TTE. The TTE wasn't for me. It has a good sound, but it just doesn't sound as good as the old rolands or echoplexes to me. The sound is too clean and you don't get as big of a wall of sound when you push it into self-oscillation.

Still sounds good. Not neeeeaaaaar worth the price to me though.

  • WOW!!!WARM WARM WARM!

  • Beautiful playing... Beautiful....

  • My favorites analog delays

    1.Fulltone TTE,

    2Carl martin echo tone

    3empress vintage modified superdelay

    Digital

    1 tc 2290 rack

    2Eventide delays

    3 lexicon Delays

    PD. Nice demo

  • Any time you want, means any time when you think it is neccesary, use such tapes no longer then three monts or 500 playing hours, contact me about rewinding with the original tape.

  • was just wondering if anyone could tell me if this thing works like a stomp box?

  • great setup man, i run this with a tiny terror combo. thing is amazing on anything you feed into it not just guitar. killer vocal potential, synth's, drum etc

  • that fucker is huge in size and price $1089.99 at GC

  • Has to be the best delay I have ever heard.

  • Must have now!!! wow how sweet is that sound? awesome!

  • How does this compare to an old Echoplex?

  • great sound, & great play

i think my empress (regular) superdelay is really close at least closer than the vintage modified superdelay

have you ever compare your TTE with a superdelay?

    please share more

  • Any pedal close in terms of sound??

  • Beautiful sound :)

  • I have one, not worth the money if you are a musician, totally worth it for the studio setting. I have found a few great uses for it.

  • Dude... You must really love Delay to spend 1200 dollars on one of these things... I know I could find a million other things to spend that money on.

  • nothing beats a good tape echo

  • i would buy this delay if i can also purchase the tapes at any time i want..

  • Great demo!

  • big sur moon would sound amazing on this

  • How does this compared to a Roland Space Echo. This sounds sick. Love tape echo, so warm.

  • run like hell! woo!

  • Nice. A great effect. You did a great job of demoing it.

  • i've had a fulltone tte for a while now, thing is fucking amazing. i spend a lot of time dabbling it modular synths, guitar, and genre's like noise, experimental, shoegaze, new wave, electro, krautrock, etc etc.

my first tape cart broke after about maybe 9 months? they are really well made. i've brought this thing to peoples houses before and their jaw dropped. " never heard such a clean echo before"

  • god it sounds amazing...but not $1200 amazing.

  • Now I know how Muse made Sing For Absolution :P

  • I love that sound...

  • How long does a cartridge generally last?

  • I'm not gear snob, but if you go watch the PGS Smackdown between this one and the Empress Vintage delay (a $500 digital that's very good), it's easy to hear the difference without even looking. Just listen for the one that sounds best then look at the screen and see which it is. But the cost ultimately is about market size. There's just not a large enough market for such a device to get the cost down.

  • i always think about that. if the listener cant tell a difference then whats the point of breaking the bank. although if i was a professional musician price isnt a factor. its my job. for a hobbiest i can understand. but if i were a pro id get an echo plex

  • @nickfromdtown1992 - Who says we´re playing for the listener?? I play for big crowds from time to time, but first and forefost I play for my own joy. What your argumentation lacks is that the listener does not know what he/she is hearing - but is sounds bloody amazing! Now thats the TTE! Some devices are so musical to play around with and others sucks.....There you go!

  • @VintageandRare well if you want to make a living off it you have to take the listener into account. but i never said play FOR the listener. i wasnt making an argument i was replying to some body making conversation. so your arguments flaw is a hasty conclusion and poisoning the well.

  • that fucker is beautiful

  • IM speachless that is the best echo i have ever heard hands down. Does anyone know which tube it comes with?

  • 2 12ax7s and a 12at7 i think

  • + 1

  • it sounds great ,and well worth the G note

  • this thing costs a 1000 dollars are you serious thats ridiculous

  • @taygoo13 It's only for the serious delay enthusiasts

  • @taygoo13 Its true and I said the same thing...but always wanted one...But Its only rediculous of course because we are used to products made in low labor countries...or by automation...those items are in the disposable catagory...(and do little for keeping America working)..

This thing is one of those items that can be repaired & used indefnately.. like Leo Fenders Amps of the 1950's...(if tape is available in future).

This type of thing can be seen in the American History Museum in DC..

  • @taygoo13 That is ridiculous. I get the tape, vintage and sound argument....but definitely greed does win over charity in this case :-( I wish they would sell it for 500 bucks. I would buy it in heartbeat.

  • @LEOJATT ....Me too, you know they would probably make more outta stack 'em high sell 'em cheap.

  • @LEOJATT I have a Line 6 Echo Park that souns pretty nice w lots of features, the TTE is too expensive,I moight try to find an used one...well see hmmm

  • @taygoo13 No it doesn't...it costs $1200. if it inspires you to make some beautifull music it's worth it...it certainly has been to theEdge. I'd wanted one for almost a decade...and finally got one instead of a refund due to me from an overcharge by Fender Masterbuilder ...

What REALLY is not worth it is paying a plumber this amount for 2 days at your house.

  • @merseybeat1963

    Freaking plumbers.... lol

  • @taygoo13 Why ?

  • @taygoo13 I heard Mike Fuller is working on a new version of TTE, but this time it,s gonna be digital. It,s gonna cost $500.00 more or less. But still too expensive, I think.

  • @joser4471 He is supposed to be working on a solid state tape echo.

  • what cables are those?

  • Laboga

  • @katarzis27 I really wanted to get this as you did such a great demo. I was told that they're very noisy. Is this true?

  • get in!! knew as soon as that started it was run like hell!

  • Gorgeous. Absolutely gorgeous. I might save up one day for one of these beauties!

  • holy crap that thing sounds good. better than the originals. It must be amazing in person without the youtube quality degrade, not that this isn't very well recorded.

  • Man, you and that TTE sound just excellent, seriously great playing and tone, reminds me of early Vini Reilly, British guitarist who recorded under the name Durutti Column on Factory. Keep on pickin'!

  • Sure it sounds nice, but does it have tap tempo?

J/K Yes, I actually want one of these so bad!

  • Comment removed

  • Excellent demo. Gorgeous piece of history. I personally use an MXR Carbon Copy, its the closest thing, with the wet mix at just past 12 o'clock, mod on, regen right at 11 o'clock (so it almost feedbacks) and delay just past 9 o'clock. It really gets the job done.

  • I have the MXR cc and its not even close...

  • haha for real. i've never heard a delay device that wasnt tape that came close to the fulltone tte. thing is just as dreamy as it gets. digital pedals or analog 600ms delays? not a chance.

  • @katarzis27 It's relatively close to the average listener. To be honest..the majority of the shit musicians themselves stress over..tone wise..is unheard by the average listener. I have an MXR CC and I think it's a great analog delay. One is 1080$ one is 150$...you can't really knock the CC when acknowledging that.

  • Yeah but not all musicians base their sound around what the average listener can or can't hear. Some if not many of them couldn't care less what other people think of their work as it is their own personal expression. Whether or not that needs to cost upwards of 1200 isn't relevant, to some people "money just ain't a thang" Can you blame em for indulging for the sake of perfecting their own expression of art? I certainly would, and plan to some day! =D. Great video btw my mouth is watering.

  • no way I have the carbon copy too, the tape delay is almost like a different effect... that you have to pay out the arse to get.... but the carbon copy is a legit pedal.. great choice for analog... it's actually a lot cleaner than this..

  • @obsidiantwilightband yeah... and analog delay is not the the same thing as a tape echo... in fact it isn't even meant to be.

  • a question, you have to change the tapes inside in some period of time?

  • i hope another effect company comes out with a more affordable tape echo unit for us common folk. and something the youngsters can get ahold of... is see to much of the youngsters playing with to much digital stuff and they never get to experience something warm and analog like this.

  • Is there a BYPASS input for a foot-switch?

  • minute 2:24 alaways reminds me of Chrono Triger for the Snes... hehehe

  • how long does the tape last in one of these?

  • How old is this TTE ? is it over serial# 1000 ?, thanks

  • I think it is.

  • 1,29 min I love this part ! It's so beautiful...N' with the FULLTONE TUBE TAPE ECHO....just AMAZING *-* <3333

    Man, can I have a tab if it's possible =D ? PLEASE^^

  • I improvised that... no tabs sorry.

  • Is it my imagination,or does the 40 year old maestro echoplex

    sound superior to this?

Anyone own both? I need one of these, but am not keen on spending a pile of nice clean money, on an old cockroach infested machine.

  • i wish i had $1200 to drop on one of these...

  • Very nice demo, this thing sounds awesome! Now I just need $1000+ dollars. XD

  • nice "pedal"!

  • Beautiful playing. Beautiful tone.

I'm tempted to buy one, but, I don't have a job.

Gonna have to go with MXR CC.

Man, I shouldn't have watched this. Now I'll never be happy.

  • no VU meter??

    nice...

  • This has to be the most beautiful, warm, smooth... add godlike word... delay I have ever heard in my entire life.

    Congrats for having this jewl!

  • lol i thought you were calling him a Jew at first then i saw that the L wasn't an exclamation mark.

  • haha me too.

  • Can you turn this on and off with a footswitch?

  • I used an echoplex all thru the 70s and know how good tape echos sound, but $1200...fuggetaboutit! I recently bought an MXR Carbon Copy for $150...great sounding analog delay with 600msecs of delay...good enough.

  • I have the MXR CC, it is very good, but not as close as the TTE.

  • Yep I know the TTE sounds amazing, my buddy has one that I've used. But the MXR does sound very good for the cost. My only comment was that MXR should have put it in a larger box, and had the inner trim pots for the modulation as regular controls on top

  • Dang .. that's one gorgeous tone!

  • Warm, gorgeous sounding echo, nice tone

  • y is that so damn beautiful?

  • Man that sounds beautiful.

  • wow! so relaxing...

  • do i recognize some pink floyd in the beginning? :)

  • RUN LIKE HELL!

  • really musical sounding. love it. i have to get one of these someday.

  • mxr carbon copy. cheeper. and amazing. this wayy too much $

  • Great playing, awesome tones! Man that thing sounds glorious!

  • wow, if i could EVER see myself dropping $1200 on a pedal, it'd be this one....however, i dont see that happening. now, $125 on a blem OCD, that's a distinct possibility.

  • this thing costs over a thousand.. i just can't imagine it being worth that much.

  • you'd have to be a musician with a formidable appreciation for a true high quality instrument

  • Hey katarzis, did you kow they have this video linked on the Fulltone TTE online manual? Pretty cool...

  • Yes i know, thanks!

  • sounds so warm!! envious of your surplus cash

  • that sounds nice, how did you record that?

  • Fulltone makes great stuff.

  • Do you use Laboga's 'Way of Sound' cable?

  • yes, great cables.

  • Excellet, man, very nice tone. Olds stuff are the greatest!!!

  • is this the echo unit that jimi page uses in concert??
