I've purchased 2 steel targets now and the price still gets me. $400 for a steel target is pretty steep. Is it cost of materials or....

@waldo9254 The larget target, The Sniper, is no longer available in the form you see it here, but there is a replacement coming out soon with the same target plate, but built as a rocker. This will reduce the price some.

We like to see less than 2900 fps at the point of impact with the target, so it will depend on your load. Typically .223 needs to be 200+ yards. The target is designed for .30 cal rifle, so .22 cal will not give a large reaction when hit although it will usually move the target.

A new era of target shooting! That's sweet. A different size for different applications. Military and Law Enforcement should get these, no doubt.
