What a great comment! Do you have anything you can show or are you just the average no-life keyboard warrior? Be sure to check out my recent video's ;)
"Language is for those who speak it" interperet how you will, our spelling is Cheque, THE AUTHOR'S spelling is Cheque because hes English. If a French guy made this whole video in French his spelling would be just as wrong in your eyes, reguardless to the fact that it differs from nation to nation.
Umm lazy? its a diferent spelling of a word, its the English spelling of the word. Its in the Collins Dictionary, theres nothing lazy about that. Never said it was "an appreciation of language" either, as that sentence does not make any sense. The American Language derived from the English Language, its all in interperatation, you spell it Check we spell it Cheque, theres no arguement...
It doesn't matter if American English came from England or the lost continent of Atlantis, you intellectually retarded hack. If you use an American version of a film, then you have no business whining like a little bitch when people hold you to American standards.
If you need special "short yellow bus" subtitles just because you live in the UK then that's your problem.
the author was most likely english and spelt it how he knew it, if you watch a subtitled film the subtitles dont match the diologue word for word its interperated. If you knew what it meant theres not problem, just because he spelt the word diferent and interperated it in his language doesnt mean its wrong. If you understood what the word meant no matter how it was spelt there shouldnt be a problem. But if it makes you feel special.. sure it should be american because the narrator is american.
Do you pronounce the word 'Tortilla' as TOR-TI-LA? Or do you pronounce it TOR-TI-YA?
Despite the fact that the English language does not pronounce a double L as a Y, the word is still pronounced TOR-TI-YA when spoken in American or UK English.
Misspelling an American word from and American film just because the author of this animation is from England is no excuse.
Actually, Xerock, you fail. Seriously. Cheque is spelt that way in much more of the world than in the US. Just because the film is American doesn't change the way it would be spelt in another country, as written and spoken forms of a language are different. If the author of this video wants to write it as cheque, that is his interpretation.
Just because you're from America doesn't give you the right to be an arrogant ass.
No, but being American DOES give me the right to correct arrogant idiots from other countries when they misspell OUR language and then try to shill out the bullshit that they're somehow justified for doing so.
work on the framerate, cos its quite choppy and it makes it seem out of sync when it isnt! and throw individual words out more often instead of whole sentences

WRONG! Cheque referring to money is spelled as is...CHECK is referring "check your spelling" It the same as to, too, and two, same with there and their. Its all in context of the statement. So maybe if you weren't retarted you would know this.

But it's not YOUR language.
How's the view inside yours?
AubinMagnus 2 years ago
Even though Xerock is being somewhat of a jerk, he would be correct in the spelling 'check' if this was made in a professional/educational setting.
Chipmonker 2 years ago
Only in the US.
AubinMagnus 2 years ago
Nope, sorry. It would be the American spelling in the UK/Europe too since it was produced in the US.
It's the same for all academia; you use the language of the source.
Heck, even the Wikipedia does the same -- and it's on the lowest rung of the totem pole.
Chipmonker 2 years ago 2
1) "our language" HAH, english was developed from THEIR languages, so us Americans are spelling THEIR words incorectly.
2) The english language is way too flawed to argue with spelling.

'Check' is the American spelling of the word 'cheque'. ;)

Sin City is an American comic and takes place in America, therefore, in context to the subject, it's misspelled.
DarkCrusader3112 3 years ago 2
He is, as a rarity in youtube videos, using proper English. Still people manage to claim that it's misspelled.
