I was at that game in my habs jersey right behind the Buffalo sin bin. Longest and best game ever. There were a ton of fights in that game. The pre-game ceremonies honoring the Sabre alumni took like 45 minutes too. All in all it was almost a five hour affair and I loved it.

It's amazing how much Brashear improved over the course of his career. He went from a guy who hugged like crazy to one of the toughest in the game. I still like Ray better though...he was as honest as they come and the same can not be said about Brashear.

You have to remember that most fighters were playing with their equipment to gain an advantage in those days. Mcsorley wore the biggest goilie jersy he could find. Kordic had breakaway sleaves that were held togther with velcro. Brown and Probert wore equipment similar to Ray, old style shoulder pads, so that it would slip off when someone tried to grab it. That would make everyone a pussy fighter according to your definition.
