Skipper was found stabbed to death on the side of a Wahneta road March 15. The Polk County Sheriff's Office has called his slaying a hate crime after a witness told them the men charged in his killing did it because Skipper was gay.
Since then, the Mulders have taken part in two gay pride parades, in St. Petersburg in June and Orlando in October, and are members of Lakeland's chapter of Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays.
They recently taped a public service announcement in support of the Matthew Shepard Act for Equality Florida, a gay-rights group.
Pat Mulder, 52, has written a research paper on the lack of medical services and rights for homosexual partners, who cannot marry or adopt children in Florida. We should present ourselves as loving and accepting Christians so that gay men and women will be more easily persuaded to stop forming romantic bonds with people that make them happy--people of their same sex--and instead propping up relationships that make them miserable and depressed--relationships with those of their opposite sex. Killing those who are different than you is an unthinkible act. Love between two people is a beautiful thing, reguardless of gender. If they're of legal age and it's not within bloodline, then the two people should get married. Procreation doesn't have anything to do with it. You can only state that if being gay or straight was a choice for you! Did you choose your sexuality? And if so, could you just as easily choose to be the opposite. Maybe some people do choose, but the vast majority of homosexual people were born with an inherant attraction to the same sex, just as many heterosexuals have always been attracted to the opposite sex. It's called diversity and it's a great thing.

I know it's not the easiest thing for parents to come to terms with in the first place, and especially so with what you've had to deal with. Parents need to do nothing more than be ashamed of their openly homosexual children, and to ostracize them as much as possible, even to the brink of suicide. God makes clear that sin is wrong (even if the wrongess of those sins are completely illogical and arbitrary), and we should not ever promote them, no matter what the opposite might lead to.

So when Sodom and Gomorrah and Leviticus make it clear that grown adults must die for having consensual sex with adults of their same sex, we need not ignore the fact that young men like the one spoken of in this video died because God WANTED him to die. I do not promote the homosexual lifestyle. i am a christian. I remember all the times when i've done wrong and ask myself how would I want to be treated if i were to be approached about christ. would i want "BE A CHRISTIAN OR DIE AND GO TO HELL" or "hey is there anything I can do for you?". show love and respect. this will win over many in the long run.

I agree with your strategy, bigboi. We should present ourselves as loving and accepting Christians so that gay men and women will be more easily persuaded to stop forming romantic bonds with people that make them happy--people of their same sex--and instead propping up relationships that make them miserable and depressed--relationships with those of their opposite sex. In the end, at least this makes US happy, which is all that really matters.

No, I don't think we need to watch anything. Our book of Mythology tells us monogamous, adult same-sex relationships are wrong, so we mindlessly regurgitate that idea. Just because we're encouraging impressionable young people to murder gay people isn't a reason for us to "watch our words." I sympathize with you tremendous loss no parent should ever have to face the loss of a child. I speak from experience. I lost my son to cancer. I have been a church member for most of my life never have I or any member of our church discriminated against gays. Your video tends to discriminate against the church community in general. They are not a broad-brushed condemnation against the faith community in America of which they may be a part. More parents of LGBT people should speak out. Prejudice against a child or children is bullying, whether the basis is religious or not. The sanctimonious hypocrisy of groups for so called 'family values' encourage such hatred is an assault on your child, and as parents, we should voice our distaste and repulsion at those who further hateful bigotry in the name of society, religion, or creed and color. Your poignant question needs to be asked, and show we have a conscience.

I just wish everyone had that much care whether it be from friends or family or even a complete stranger.
