  • Oh yes. There is more. I also need to note a few players the G.O.A.T Jordan played. Iverson in him prime owned him. Played Vince carter when with the washington and qoute mj himself "it only took me one half to figure out his game". Explosive Carter scored 2 points the second half of their first meeting. Just a few names there. Finally its been said great scorers are not legends that mean no HOF for Iverson, pass on miller, grant hill, jerry stackhouse , mr. T mac, vince jump over person carter.

  • Do you people really really think kobe is better?? How? Jordan made his teammates better kobe does not. And talent today compared to the pass play some fucking defence and have the main stars on each team gaurd each other. Fuck the positions of the past the teams were fucking better than these 3 point shooting no post game teams today. I really believe young nba fans today are fucking retards and need to hit the books and videos. Get it together people shitttt

  • @Imsljr rodman no way in HOF. Look at the list of players in the HOF and you tell me if he belongs aside them.

  • Kobes era has way more talent

  • Jordan played against reggie miller mich richmond. His best rival was drexler a 20 ppg guy with a fastbreak style of play WOW!! Kobe played against carter iverson mcgrady melo durant lebron n wade. Reggie miller was a ray allen type 2nd class player.

  • For now Jordan is still King. There will never be another Michael Jordan, but there will never be another Kobe Bryant either. Their game, and their swagger have stunning resemblances. People shouldn't be ready to crown Kobe better than Michael, but people also shouldn't scoff at the idea that Kobe's career isn't over and has a chance to be in the discussion for Greatest ever.

  • all you jordan fans mad

  • @Turbolx how the hell jordan couldnt defend these gaurds today. How?? Oh i know why he cant. Turbolx you must be 18 or 19 years old. I love the nba but the player positioning today is terrible.

  • Jordan couldn't guard the young up and comming players that dominated the early 2000's.

Jordan is better accomplishment wise, but as a pure player there where many players with similar skill sets.

  • Sorry Kobe lovers, but Jordan is better than Kobe. End of discussion.

  • @smpl90s i personally like kobe better , i was born in his raining era but u cant argue mj wast the best there is , the best there ever wa , and the best there ever will be . AMEN

  • @FRANKIEFIGGSZ that reminded me of bret hart

  • @smpl90s this is sad you know who better but you in denial

  • ON MY CHANNEL SITE THE REAL AND (((UNTOLD))) STORY OF JORDAN! A MUST SEE!!!!!

  • @ dannysoya. Class is almost over son. I hate lebron off the field garbage but I must say he makes players as in teammates as in team sport 5 on 5 better. Kobe has failed many times under pressure in key playoff series. Shit if I was phil jackson i ll give kobe the ball all the time. This league is weak on defence buddy it has been since the early 2000's. I could began with statistics but it isn't worth. you need to embrace jordans intelligents on the court and not just his offensive skills

  • @dannysoya. Well.... nobody yes he did have nobody. He made pippen an allstar and rodman was a great player who does not belong in the hall of fame. Jordan destroyed the elite lakers and pistons. On top of that the knicks and the jazz. You name all the finals kobe played not nearly on jordans opponents in the finals. I mean come on man the nets, sixers, pacers, magic, celtics the bulls would have taken out early broom sticks on these teams. Kobe is a great player but does not my players better.

  • @hasan4523 : rodman absolutely belongs in the HOF...7X rebounding champ...2X DPOY winner

  • People seem to forget kobe lost in the playoffs a lot with good teams. Jordan didn't have. Oh yes kobe has a killer instinct, :-) without o'neal the first 3 titles and gasol, bynum the next 2 in a era that plays no defence and chucks up 3's and run isolation in todays nba. Jordan would had never got blown away by the celtics in in a finals nor the average mavericks. The palyers today are to soft. Need I say moneyyyyy

  • @hasan4523 Dude please Nobody is saying Kobe is better than Jordan but if you cannot admit that Kobe has a Killer instinct then you know NOTHING about basketball. Michael Jordan had Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman. NOBODY. let me repeat that NOBODY wins an NBA title on his own you NEED help from team mates that's why it's a team sport.

  • kobe only needs one ring to be the same with jordan

  • kobe's game is that of jordan's he has a 3-peat came (short of a 2nd 3peat last year) has the EXACT SAME killer instinct as MJ......id say he is the CLOSEST thing we have seen to jordan since jordan.

  • @matt2fresh84 Very True

  • @zowafflesidekickcunt LOL! i thought you said you werent a jordan hater. EXPOSED!!

  • so did the Lakers win?

  • Kobe hit himself in the nuts with ball after dunk

  • this was before jordan became the grumpy old man who talks trash

  • kobe was like a perfect fairtytale kobe turned out to be what they said.kobe is kobe mike is mike and lebron is will ringless!

  • on second thought I guess that makes me 2 legit 2 quit.

  • allow me to defend myself brovaz, fellas, citizens, and thugmaestros. jordan is always in his prime. when he's on the floor, you assume he's in his prime. he wouldn't be out there if his aim wasn't to win a championship, and the way Jordan was constantly schoolin' dapz, proves he was in his prime, so I do have it right. Allow me to state what I have to say please, without becoming the MC Hammer of old skool thought. Thank you.

  • @jeremyshockey234

Prime means you're in your best condition physically and mentally and performing at the highest level of your whole CAREER, MJ's real prime was in late 80s and early 90s.

MJ was too good that he was still schooling cats at the age of 33-35 and still could win championships, but that doesn't mean he was in his prime, are you stupid? Just use your damn brain for a second please

  • Lebron didn't get to play against Jordan at all.

  • this is amazing. there is nothing but brilliance on the court between those too. michael jordan was still in his prime at the time, but it was clear he wasn't the most well conditioned athlete on the floor. simply brilliant.

  • @jeremyshockey234 LOL....this is NOT Jordan's prime dude....he was 34 soon to be 35 and there was talk of his retirement all year long. Jordan's prime was 87-1993.

  • @jeremyshockey234

It's stupid how people like you don't know shit about bball and think this is MJ's prime, just because someone is winning championship does not mean he's in his prime, it might be for most players, but MJ was so good that he was still the best in the league despite not being in his prime, so get that shit straight

  • I think Kobe MORE THAN SERVED NOTICE right here.....sure Lebron didnt get to play against Jordan when mike was winning rings, but thats just another of the many things kobe will have over lebron, that kobe did battle with Jordan and more than proved himself.....

  • yo

  • Well we've already seen Jordan drop 40 and 50 point games in today's game and being a 2-time All-Star in 2 years with the Wizards while he was 38-40 years old.

  • kobe hit his nuts haha

  • @ DaFreewayMaster .......The other folk that were commenting on this video were saying Kobe is better than MJ. Read past comments posted on this blog and you'll find out who is saying what. Keep up, playboy.....@ xXLuigiMaxXx.....Do U know what will happen if MJ, in his prime was playing in today's game where athleticism rule.............HE'D STILL CRUSH ALL OF THEM!!....U 4got some of the things he did while with the Wizards? He wasn't even in his prime @ that point.

  • ummm Jordan is 34 against a 19 year old imagine the 23 year old mj

  • I think MJ liked Kobe because he NEVER BACKED DOWN. Unlike AI, who made a big fuss about 'not having to respect anyone', Kobe was thirsty to learn...he always has been. It's so ironic that people actually detract from the guy for learning from MJ, learning from Hakeem...that's nuts. If LeBron actually had ANY SEMBLANCE of a post game, he'd be indefensible. It's not about who's better...MJ is a once in a lifetime player. How about acknowledging that you'll be hard pressed to find another Kobe?

  • @cbaldwinjr Yeah but remember when Van Gundy called Jordan a con-man...I think Kobe was using the same tactics on Jordan...and therefore he owned his mind and was able to cook him like that.

  • EVERY1 gets dunked on in the league. If U haven't got dunked on, Ur not playing good D. Until this day, Kobe STILL hasn't proved he's better than MJ. Kobe can't even hold a scoring title during the regular season (K. Durant took it twice). When MJ was playing during the season, who else in the league held the scoring title besides him? NOBODY.

  • @nonamekane Who even said Kobe was better than MJ?? Stop creating an argument over nothing.....

  • @nonamekane Yeah cause everyone else were shooting jump hooks and silly shots while MJ was on another level compared to them. But what will happen if MJ on his prime were playing in this time where athleticism rules the game?. I would be a 100% sure there would not be a Lebron James, and ofcourse, you guys would still be hating on The Black Mamba. Go Kobe!

  • love em both... just been around to see kobe and grow to like him! oh and fuck leborn tho!

  • It's uncanny how predictive the commentators were.

  • The GOAT and the Mamba, why can't we just appreciate players for who they are instead of constantly comparing them?

  • SWEEEEEEEEEEP

    Nice job Kobroom. :)

  • @thekobe24mamba don't mess with hawk man he'll mess you up good. i've seen it happen.

  • @hangtime23ful

Just a retard, I find it hilarious how he was quoting Phil Jackson and saying he's credible when he thought PJ said Kobe was stronger than MJ, but after I corrected him he suddenly stopped believing in Phil Jackson and still stuck to his own opinion

This is ignorance as expected from a Kobe fan, the dumbest living beings on earth

  • From 5:00 on... pure class. Michael was and is the standard of professionalism and heart. What a beast. What other player in the NBA has Kobe ever asked advice from during a game?

  • Aha I think Kobe did better this game then Jordan ... and again Kobe was only 18 or 19 years old this game while Jordan was already experienced so that tells you that if they played again in 2004 or sumthin ... KObe wuld've owned jordan ! KOBE amazing player ever

  • Kobe, LeBron, and all the great players today say Jordan is the best...so you're disagreeing with them if you don't say Jordan is the best.

  • @hawkhunter07

Oh and good try tho but don't make a fool of yourself

  • @hawkhunter07

Kobe was still balling him up when Jordan was in there and that's that Kobe was 19!!!!! Imagine him at his prime? Jordan got to play at a washed up era he had no competition and don't bring up the jazz or bullshit teams like that

  • @Hthrizzle Imagine Jordan playing Kobe in Jordan's prime.

  • @Hthrizzle : kobe gets to play in an era where phil jackson has said jordan would average 50 now......please name me one person who has said jordan's era was weak?....and it can't be from a kobe homer like you.

  • @imsljr420 ko phil jackson said kobe was stronger, better footwork and better jump shooter.. Phil jackson said that.. But that doesnt mean shit

  • @TheKobe24mamba

Jackson never said Kobe was stronger, instead I can find plenty of proof and videos where Phil Jackson said MJ was stronger and had a bigger body, never said Kobe had better footwork either

but Jackson did say that MIchael Jordan's greatness will never be superseded and MJ is in his own sphere and anyone compared to him (including Kobe) is not fair, emphasizing the astronomical difference in MJ's FG% and Kobe's FG%

    want any links to it?

  • @Hawkhunter07 KOBE IS STRONGER THAN JORDAN phil jacson said it on that video "phil jacson compares jordan to kobe 2008"lol..And who cares about FG%??? Thats the last thing anyone should be worried about as long as you win it shouldnt matter.. And phil jacson even said kobe is strong he said kobe has a stronger body which is true at one point was at 220lbs.. He also says kobe has more skill!! :P im just with what i heard on the video look it up yourself i still think MJ is the GOAT.

  • @TheKobe24mamba

You must be an idiot, listen to the video again

    0:21

"There are some things that Michael Jordan had, that Kobe doesn't have, he has a bigger body, he's stronger...Kobe's strong...he has these incredible hands.."

He was referring to MJ being stronger, everyone know's MJ is the strongest guard to ever play the game of basketball

  • @TheKobe24mamba

I've seen the video dozen of times young one, Phil Jackson was referring to Michael Jordan, please listen to it again, anyone in their right mind knows Jordan was gifted more athletically and much stronger, I know Kobe was at 220lbs at one point and that was in his 2003 year, I know more about both Jordan and Kobe more than you ever will kid, but Jordan was operating at 215 for most of his career in case you didn't know, and he could back down guys like Kenyon Martin no problem

  • @TheKobe24mamba

"He has a bigger body, he's stronger.....he had these incredible hands and those were billion dollar hands"

"HE" was a reference to Michael Jordan, not Kobe Bryant

  • @TheKobe24mamba

How can you say who cares about FG%? Do you know how important FG% is? Your main priority as a shooting guard is to score for your team, and when your FG% is low it means you're being inefficient and your team would've scored more if you passed to others rather than take the shot yourself

Jordan was shooting 49.7% for his entire career, the fact that theres an astronomical difference in FG% between two SGs show that one is a much better scorer, not to mention the higher ppg

  • @TheKobe24mamba

Aside from the fact that you totally missed Phil's point and thought he was talking about Kobe whereas he was actually talking about Jordan, there are also alot of guys that have talked about Jordan's strength, like Robert Horry comparing his strength to Lebron's, Magic Johnson saying Jordan had the strength of a center, it's a no brainer really, Jordan can back down and make people slide, Kobe has to "bump" you back and the guy barely moves if he's around the same size

  • @Hawkhunter07 Lets not get ahead of ourselves i dislike lebron but no way mike is even close to having lebricks strength thats overreacting, he had the strength of a center?? Strength like shaq, hakeem, ewing, etc, hell no! And thats cuz kobe isnt trygin to move them he bumps to get space and fade. He isnt trying to back them down for kobe inside the 3 point line it doesnt matter where he is at he just needs space so he bumps to get space

  • @TheKobe24mamba

Jordan was one of the strongest, if not THE STRONGEST guard of all time, it certainly isn't an over exaggeration to say his strength is comparable to Lebron, I can tell you don't really know much about Jordan at all, I'm not talking about Jordan in the 80s, but Jordan in the 90s especially during the 96-98 years, in terms of bulkiness he was at his peak in 97 if you had seen those muscles he had put on you wouldn't be saying this

  • @TheKobe24mamba

Also, it is not just me that's saying it, but it was Magic Johnson that said he had the strength of a center, and it was Robert Horry comparing his strength to Lebron, I personally believe Lebron is a little stronger than Jordan but Jordan's strength was certainly comparable,

    watch?v=rSMeJ1fJWOI&feature=channel_video_title

Look how easy Jordan was posting up the 6'10 Kenyon Martin, and he was like 40 years old! A Prime MJ was even stronger, K-mart was sliding backwards dude

  • @TheKobe24mamba

Sorry, I forgot to include the time frame...

Check out 6:36 where MJ posts up the 6'10 K-Mart with ease

    watch?v=rSMeJ1fJWOI&feature=channel_video_title

  • @Hawkhunter07 K mart is 240 and kobe posted lebron who is 250! I dont think Mj was stronger than kobe tho compare there sizes kobe was at 220lbs at one point and Mj maybe was at 210 maybe when he was 40+.. im not saying mj but i dont think he was stronger than kobe look how big kobe was in 06-08

  • @TheKobe24mamba

Let me expose your flaws in reasoning.

First you said you believed what Phil Jackson said, because you thought he said Kobe was stronger, and now that I proved you wrong you SUDDENLY stopped believing in what Phil Jackson said? How Ironic.

Second of all, Kobe was 220 at one point only which was his 2003 year, MJ was mostly operating at 215 in the 90s and being significantly more bulked up in his 2nd 3peat, so not his 40s, you clearly don't know much about MJ do you?

  • @TheKobe24mamba

Second of all, theres a huge flaw in your logic, K-mart was an example, I was trying to illustrate the fact that MJ was capable of posting up bigger players with ease, MJ also used to frequently post up Anthony Mason who was also 250....the fact that K-mart was sliding backwards is a clear indication of MJ's strength

When you see vids of Kobe having his back face Lebron, he's barely moving Lebron backwards, he actually has his back facing him to set up his fadeaway shot

  • @TheKobe24mamba

Second of all, having more weight does not necessarily mean you're stronger, you also have to take into account how much speed is sacrificed, the fact that MJ was able to operate at 215 for most of his career and still have explosive speed is another reason why he's stronger than Kobe, why do you think Kobe went back to around 205 during his championship runs? Because he cannot be strong and fast at the same time

  • @TheKobe24mamba

Through observation it is quite evident that MJ is stronger.

Tim Grover, Kobe's and Jordan's athletic trainer said this....

"Grover: Oh, Michael. No question. From a physical and mental standpoint, he's the best I've ever seen."

Add on to the fact that Phil Jackson said Jordan was stronger and had a bigger body, Horry (who played with/against both) comparing Jordan's strength to Lebron, and Magic Johnson saying he had a center's strength

  • @TheKobe24mamba

Next time you really want to argue, please at least argue in an objective way, you cannot suddenly disregard Phil Jackson's opinion when you suddenly find out that it does not favor your opinion, that makes you seem immature and childish, facts are facts.

Lastly, you need to watch some real MJ tapes, I've seen Kobe try to post up Pietrus and he has to "bump" into him so hard just to get space, where as MJ would have the strength to actually back him down like he did to Martin

  • @TheKobe24mamba

Before you post your next comment, think about whether you know more about their physical conditions than Kobe and Jordan's trainer, or Phil Jackson who coached them both, or a hall of famer and top 3 player like Magic Johnson, I find it quite ridiculous anyone would even suggest Kobe is stronger than Michael Jordan, I can't imagine anyone who has watched both of them in their prime say this, there's a reason why MJ is GOAT

  • @TheKobe24mamba Why would you compare jordans strength to lebron thats a false statement! And phil said "kobe is strong".. And mj had strength of a center did he have strength like shaq?? didnt think so

  • @TheKobe24mamba

I never said Kobe wasn't strong you idiot, I am just saying MJ is stronger and Phil Jackson and Tim Grover both who have worked with Kobe and MJ in a total span of 2 decades can attest to this, and I just told your dumbass, it's not me comparing Jordan's strength to Lebron, it's Robert Horry who has played with/against both Kobe and MJ that said this

I don't think MJ is stronger than Shaq, but that doesn't mean he wasn't as strong as other centers in the NBA

  • @TheKobe24mamba

Before asking me, why don't you answer my question first about whether you know more about both their strengths than guys like Tim Grover, Phil Jackson, Magic Johnson, and Robert Horry

Don't tell me you don't find PJ credible, you were just quoting him before I corrected your stupid ass, you know you lost this argument

  • @Hawkhunter07 Kobe stronger!! How the fuck is he gonna have the same strength as a center maybe shawn bradley adn PJ did say kobe is stronger! and ive never seen a vid where grover, magic, or horry has said mj was srong as center lmao thats like saying he can post shaq haha and kenyon martin when he played with jersey he was 230 get your shit straight

  • @TheKobe24mamba

    Are you stupid?

Phil Jackson said ..."there are alot of things that Michael Jordan had that Kobe doesn't have.....he's stronger , he has a bigger body......Kobe's strong...he has these incredible billion dollar hands"

HE was a reference to Michael Jordan, Phil Jackson said Michael Jordan was stronger but Kobe was also strong too

How hard is it to understand?

  • @TheKobe24mamba

Magic was the one that said MJ was as strong as a center

Horry was the one that compared MJ's strength to Lebron

and Grover said he was the best physically of all the ones he's trained, and that includes Kobe

and it doesn't matter, MJ still posted up Kenyon Martin with ease, and he did post up Anthony Mason back in the day who was 250 with ease too,

You are still losing this argument badly

  • @TheKobe24mamba

I am amazed at how stupid your comprehension skills are, once again let me repeat about Phil Jackson's words...in order

There are a lot of things that MJ had that Kobe doesn't....he has a bigger body, he's stronger

you think he is referring to Kobe? are you stupid? PJ did say Kobe is strong afterwards because he wanted to bring out the fact that even though MJ was stronger, Kobe was strong too

"He has these billion dollar hands"

Obviously HE was a reference to MJ, OWNED plz

  • @TheKobe24mamba

and hahaah you're a fucking moron!

You're telling me to get my shit straight when you were the one that said Kenyon Martin was 240 in the first place!!! HAHAHA you're basically dick slapping yourself in the face and calling yourself a dumbass

yes! Get your shit straight! you told yourself to get your shit straight lol what a moron!

  • @TheKobe24mamba

"He has a bigger body, he's stronger"

"He has these billion dollar hands"

Tell me, MJ was always referred to having billion dollar hands by Phil Jackson even in other interviews, so "HE" was a reference to MJ

Therefore, "HE has a bigger body" = "MJ has a bigger body"

Is that too hard for you to understand or should I dumb it down for a moron like you even more who told yourself to get your shit straight?

HAHA embarass yourself more? this is too easy boy

  • @TheKobe24mamba

You're not questioning my credibility, but the credibility of Phil Jackson, Tim Grover, Magic Johnson, and Robert Horry

I'm just quoting and paraphrasing them, you're losing this argument pretty bad I feel kind of sorry for you

  • @imsljr420 That era was weak barely any known defenders. Nowadays defense is more advance we have more athletic players than any other era. Ive never seen a video where they throw double teams and tripple teams at one player

  • @TheKobe24mamba : look at the "k jordan vs zone isolation 1 - 1 defense" video......& being athletic DOES NOT make you a better defender...are vince carter & jason richardson better defenders than bowen & artest?....was dominque wilkins a better defender than rodman?..was robert pack a better defender than payton?

  • @imsljr420 there good defenders lol!! well they were not anymore

  • @TheKobe24mamba : meant when they were in their prime.

  • @Hthrizzle

Kobe balling him up is your subjective opinion, however it is a fact that most of Kobe's points in that game came in garbage time when Jordan was already sitting on the bench the bulls secured a win,and it's funny you say Jordan played in a washed up era when the Jazz swept the Lakers team with Oneal and Bryant and all coaches say Jordan played in a more difficult era and would average 50 points today

surely you know more than them right?

p.s: I make a fool of dumbasses like you =)

  • @downloaddoctor1

How did he outplay him? Jordan scored 36 and Kobe 33 off the bench not to mention he was 19,,. Imagine if he was a starter? Dumasss del Haris didn't realize Kobe was a starter even though he was the ONLY player to start in the all star game and come off the bench for his team wow embarrassing

  • @Hthrizzle

Actually most of Kobe's points came in garbage time when Jordan was already sitting on the bench and the Bulls secured a win, but nice try though

  • so how is that 2nd 3peat coming along for Kobe?

  • AT 4:31 Kobe gets told by MJ How to Become the best

  • @ZZdubbleB he told him how to do that famous fadeaway jumpshot which now sets him apart from everyone

  • 4:00 wow!!!!!!

  • Once Bryant dunked the ball hit him in his balls lol

  • 4:31 what a classic picture of two great athletes eh.. :-)

  • The Bulls won that game pretty handily because they were a better, veteran team than the Lakers at the time, but the one-on-one duel between MJ and Kobe that night was something for the ages. Neither one of them gave an inch: it was like watching a battle between demigods.

  • And Jordan was born in brooklyn ny why he never played for knicks

  • This is annoying why they always comparing Kobe and Jordan kobe sayed he's not better than jordan

  • Kobe will retired with more rings than Jordan. Jordan fans and Kobe haters can take that to the bank

  • Check out the video "J's On My Feet" for all of you Air Jordan/HipHop FANS!!!

  • *misleading description

  • Lol @ a kobe fag editing the video to leave out the fact Jordan outscored Kobe and embarrassed Kobe all day. Misleading title is misleading. Kobe simply dunked of a back cut on no one. Jordan manned Kobe up and took it to the rim on his bitchass, much more impressive than a scheme dunk. smh

  • Kobe Look Up MJ so If SomeOne Look Up Kobe Mean He Look Up MJ.

  • You're a fucking IDIOT if you think Jordan wasn't the best of all time.

  • yeah

  • MJ got owned!

  • ON MY CHANNEL SITE THE REAL AND ((UNTOLD))) STORY OF JORDAN!

  • Damn 4:28 it's like looking at the two greatest players of all time.

  • Kobe learned from Jordan, who is the next great to learn from kobe?

  • @scubaVansrule Kobe will be never as great as Mike...

    And noone will be greater.

  • @Marvieni10 i agree that jordan is the greatest player i've ever seen play... and players that are in the NBA now looked up to guys like Jordan, just like there's people that look up to Kobe and Lebron and Wade... just enjoy the show :)

  • @scubaVansrule But mj's son . i thing Mj's son will learn from kobe:D

  • @scubaVansrule D WADE OR LA BRAUD

  • @scubaVansrule Durant!

  • @scubaVansrule ME!

  • Kober learned from Jordan, who is the next great to learn from kobe?

  • kobe all the way

  • The title on this video is misleading. The first real game where Jordan played against Kobe was on December 17, 1996. And Jordan dunked on Kobe the very first possession they were matched against each other.

  • I hate all these MJ dick riders... I guarantee more than half of you cock riders never even saw MJ play! Kobe and Jordan both gave each other war.

  • its like tyson vs ali.....we all knwo ali is the greatest

  • Fuck you Kobe hating fags, kobe is the new king.

  • Jordan is king. Kobe is just a wannabee.

  • @THEHAITIAN1804 A wannabe? lol

You a wannabe MJ fan, I bet you didn't even watch MJ play you just heard about him... Both KB and MJ gave each other WAR! And why hate on KB when his game is just like Jordan's? Its like hating on MJ.

  • @Vam999 To say they "gave each other war" is not correct. Jordan got the upper hand when Kobe was a teenager, and Jordan hardly ever guarded Kobe when MJ played for the Wizards in his late 30's. They never matched up on an even playing field in their primes. Also, Kobe's game is not just like MJ's game. MJ was much more precise and efficient, and he made smarter plays and didn't try to play hero ball like Kobe does on occasion. Kobe's a great player, but he's not MJ.

  • @hoopfan71 I never once said KB was MJ... I really don't understand why so many people think Jordan is better when Kobe is still winning Championships.

Back in the day MJ didn't really have competition... He only had like what 5 good players to give him comp? Kobe in the other hand has... KD, Westbrook, D-Wade, LBJ, Rondo, D-Rose, CP3, Melo, Amare, Howard, Dirk, Wall etc etc... And people gotta respect the fact that KB is NOT afraid to play "Hero" like you said. MJ was great but KB is G.O.A.T

  • @Vam999 So, you're saying that championships are the barometer for greatness? Robert Horry has 7 rings, so he must be up there with the all-time greats, right? MJ had no competition? Let's see: Barkley, Stockton, Malone, Payton, Wilkins, Bird, Magic, Olajuwon, Robinson, Ewing, Mourning, Rice, Richmond, T. Hardaway, A. Hardaway, Shaq, Kemp, Thomas, Drexler, Dumars, Mullin, Kidd, Miller, etc. I respect Kobe's fearlessness, but there are times in games when he unnecessarily takes hero-type shots.

  • @hoopfan71 Seriously there is only like 5 to 8 good players that you can actually call L-E-G-I-T!

What I'm trying to say is that EVERY generation is better... When KB retires I'm pretty sure it'll be KD's turn to take over the NBA.

Put the players of today's basketball... Rose, Kobe, Durant, Amare & Howard vs some of the Legends you just named and I guarantee today's players would blow them out by at least 30+ points... EVERY GENERATION IS BETTER!

  • @Vam999 Why are only 5 to 8 of the players I listed "L-E-G-I-T"? Hill and Kidd are still playing effectively at 38 years old, Olajuwon and Shaq - two of the most dominant big men ever (see Olajuwon tutoring Howard at 47 yrs old), Kemp was as athletic as any big man playing today, Miller was just as good a shooter as today's best shooters, Barkley and Malone - two of the best post players to ever play...I could go on. Jordan avg'd 20+ per game just 8 years ago at 40. Win by 30? That's funny.

  • @hoopfan71 You're still not getting my point... Every generation gets better.

And I know MJ was still a beast at whatever age he was playing, and to me Barkley was the LeJoke of that era... LeJoke will probably retire just like Barkley did, no rings.

  • @Vam999 My point is that you meander and don't prove your point. You say that MJ had no competition, then you say he was a beast at whatever age. Which is it? If he was a beast at 38-40 years old just 8 years ago, doesn't it stand to reason that he'd be a ton better at a much younger age? Also, while the guys you mentioned as elite players of this era are still young and still have an opportunity, only two of them have rings. Seven of the players I mentioned have rings as stars for their teams.

  • @Vam999 Every generation gets better????

So the 90s are better than the 80s????????????????

  • @TheGodOfBasketball1 Do you even know who played in the NBA in the early 80's? lol

  • @Vam999 There were some very good players in the 80's that could compete just fine today. I watched a replay of a game recently, and I got tired just watching them run up and down the floor for 48 minutes. Not to toot my own horn, but I've had young kids who see me as an older guy they can school until I jump up and grab the rim with two hands (I'm only 5'10") or run past them on a fast break. My point is that you shouldn't generalize, because there have been some very good players in every era.

  • @hoopfan71 What I've been trying to say is that in every generation there will be someone better (Rarely) not everyone...

  • @Vam999

You say he's not getting your point yet you're not getting his point, you haven't even been able to defend your argument, you said every generation gets better yet guys from 90s were playing at a high level in the 2000s and are still playing effectively even at an old age like grant hill and shaq

Stop throwing accusations, defend your own argument, but a kobe fan like you won't be able to

  • @Hawkhunter07 I don't need to explain myself... I already made my point.

You probably never even saw MJ play so please just gtfo of his videos.

  • Comment removed

  • @Vam999 kobe way too inconsistent to be considred the GOAT, both on offense and defense. And buddy you can put the dream team of 1992 vs the Redeem team and i can tell you right now, DT by 25

  • @Vam999 MJ avg in the first 50 games of the 01-02 season 24.7ppg and he was doing this when was 38-39 HE woould have shreded the league if he was in his prime ages of 26-30

  • Don't forget Shaq was the one going up against Tim Duncan and D-Rob, arguably the two best players on the Spurs team (at least they were if you looked at MVP voting) at the time.

  • @hangtime23ful man kobe should of gotten nba 1st team those yrs they hated and put both point guards on there kobe was the best 2 guard then and shaq wouldnt beaten those spurs teams in the early 2000s witout kobe those series was the real nba finals back then and kobe was the mvp of those series shaq got the good match up in those finals thats all stop hating geezzzz lol haha

  • @Hambeezzy24 Kobe wouldn't have beaten the Spurs without Shaq.

Shaq got the good matchups in the Finals????? He faced Mutumbo and 76ers in the 2001 NBA Finals (when Mutumbo was DPOY'er) and Ben Wallace (2002, 2003, 2005, and 2006 DPOY) in the 2004 NBA Finals. Kobe got Eric Snow (after he couldn't guard AI in Game 1 of the 2001 NBA Finals), old-man Reggie Millerm, Jason Kidd, Chauncey Billups.

  • Jordan played in the Golden Era, Kobe didn't

Kobe was a sidekick during his first 3 rings. Kobe wasn't even on the All-NBA 1st team when he won his first ring.

  • Kobe won 5 TITLES; about to be 6, 7, and probably 8 before he retires. Then this will NO LONGER even be a debate. W/out King Kobe, the Lakers have 0 TITLES and Shaq has 1. Kobe OVERWHELMS Jordan

  • @shyjayb

U kids' warped logic & serious lack of perspective on things is so fucked up, that's it's laughable. By your criteria, I could say that DJ Mbenga > Patrick Ewing, Rik Smits, D-Howard etc..

I mean seriously kid, do U idiots ever stop to think or listen to the incredibly dumb shit that comes outta your mouths? It's ridiculous..SMH

Rings have never and will never be the gauge by which U judge a player's individual talent, level of skill or ability, because that's a TEAM accomplishment!

  • @blackadam06 That's true. But a Finals MVP award (IMO the most important award in the NBA) does judge a player's individual talent, and most importantly, their ability to perform in the clutch. So, let's take a look at the two. Kobe Bryant has reached the Finals 7 times. He is 5-2 in Finals play. Out of those 7 times he has reached the Finals, he has been Finals MVP only 2 times. Exceptional achievements.

  • @blackadam06 On to MJ. Michael Jordan has reached the Finals 6 times. He is 6-0 in Finals play. Out of the 6 times he has reached the Finals, he was Finals MVP 6 times. This is IMO the achievement that separates Mike from everyone else. Because (unless you're Jerry West) it means your team won the title and you were the most important factor. Only 2 players in NBA history have won the Finals MVP three times in a row: Shaq and Michael. The difference? MJ did it twice.

  • @tyenolam And you could argue that Kobe wasn't the MVP of last year's finals - Gasol probably should have gotten the award. Kobe shot-jacked his way to the MVP award, shooting just 40%.

  • @hoopfan71 yeah and gasol was 6/18 in gm 7 no one shot well.. except d fish kobe was efficent in gm 1, 4, 5, and 6.. game 3 he was ok not to good shooting wise but he lead the lakers to a title.

    btw he shot 40.6%.

  • @2pacisthebest90 Pau was 6/16 not 18, Kobe missed 8 more shots than him, Pau also had more rebounds, assists, blocks and less turnovers. Not shooting 50% or higher from the field in any game of a finals series certainly is not that efficent and shooting 40.4% for an entire finals series is absolutly dismal when compared to truly efficient and elite scorers who Kobe fans alway's want to compare him with.

  • THE REAL AND ((UNTOLD))) STORY OF JORDAN ON MY CHANNEL SITE!

  • ok i dont give a fuck wos better kobe killed shit in that game though they said it then and its true today hes the future of basketball
