It's a shame what GH did to the Quatermaines. I remember the outrage of GH fans when Alan died. I guess that's why TPTB made Alan a ghost to stay on. After all the years on GH Stuart Damon's character is reduced to playing a ghost.
@slyhazeleyes I can't see the logic in killing off Alan, why not just have him leave PC? He easily could have joined Doctors Without Borders or something, TPTB were ridiculous, same thing with Tony Jones.
Now there are rumors Monica is returning and I guess "Alan" will be back as a ghost again. And you wonder why GH is being canceled..
Alan's dead?!! What?!!! I just read about it on Wikipedia when I was reading Stuart's Damon's bio after watching the 1965 version of "Cinderella", a role he starred in. What the heck happened? Why was he fired? Nooooo.!!
I know that this is sad and all but when I hear the phrase "You only get one father" I can't help but think unless you are Micheal Corrinthos, then you have too many.
@TheRealArtzilla You should take a look at the death of BJ (Tony and Bobbie's daughter), back in 1994...and the death of Stone in 1995(?). I was too young to be able to remember, but they were much sadder, trust me. The one about BJ was the saddest one.
@AyatollahPez Yes, saw them when they aired. This one was the saddest for me. Of all the characters to kill off, Alan shouldn't have been one. A mobster dying would not have been this sad.
oh god i hate the beggining of this video Allan was my fav on the show right there before Robin .. im gonna miss allan.. this scene makes me cry no matter how much i watch it. im still balling my eyes out. im lucky if im even spelling words right :( I LOVED ALLAN
Alan would have loved to hear that when he was alive, but at least Jason was able to say the words at all. It sucked that he stayed away from his family after the accident. They would have had an awesome relationship. It sucks that Alan had to die. that was so wrong. If it was for the storyline, they could have come up with another one that didn't include killing the Quartermaines.
There was no death scene. They never showed Alan dying in front of Emily. All we see is Emily coming out of his room in tears.... no deathbed scene for Stuart. When they killed Tony (another mistake), at least he got to die onscreen. They just let Stuart lie there. That's just not how to treat somebody who's been on the show for 30 years.
Either we're watching different shows or what...but what I saw...there wasn't a death scene. We see Emily coming out of Alan's room...that's it. Alan has his final heart attack (Monica and Emily are in the room). Monica then goes away and tells Edward and Tracy that Alan isn't going to recover. Next we see Emily coming out of Alan's room crying and Jason running around the corner. Next Emily tells Monica that Alan died. We didn't see Alan regain consciousness or have his last breath.
There actually was no death scene. Incomprehensibly, they wrote it so that Alan died off screen. After 30 years, they wouldn't even give Stuart an onscreen death. That sucks.
That's okay. B/c to me that means there is a way to bring him back. Everyone that had a death off screen got to come back someway! I propose, they have him out of town in a catatonic state being drugged and he somehow gets away. Here's a chance for them to bring Alan and Helena back! It could've been Helena's way of getting back at Emily for being with Nikolas! Just a thought! She could've drugged him into believing he's Mikkos and brings him back to torture Monica! Hey that's my idea! WDYT?
LOL...not bad, not bad. My idea is that this is all in Jason's head. He's been in a coma for 13 years and the last 13 years of bad writing has been a brain damaged dream. :)
i would LOVE it if this were the case.....I am so SICK of GH today - where is the HOSPITAL in General Hospital these days? Seems it's all coffee shops, Sonny's office, Jason's Penthouse or the waterfront....NO ONE WILL EVER BEAT THE Q's of the 70s and 80s...LONG LIVE THE Q's!!!!!!
Yes there was, it was short but Emily was in there with him, he was conscious for a minute or two, then he died just as Jason was getting to the hospital. The scene you're refering to was just after this one.
my father died a few months ago and i'm still not able to watch this without crying.

Wrong. There was a Death scene. He died in front of Emily and seconds later jason showed up.

Ok, agree to disagree then, no worries. Can't believe we're arguing over a stupid soap opera lol. :)

There are worse things to argue over ... like how stupid Carly is. ;) hehe
