@SuperTimelapser It may have seemed like "too much work" but it was the foundation of some of the other timelapses.I have here later on. I would have needed to write code to get the map and time of day to be overlaid anyway. Besides, I run Linux predominantly, and I prefer to work with free software if possible and practical. I do have a Windows dual boot, but I haven't been into Windows in many weeks.
Sky Harbor always looks nice from the air at night. In fact, it's much more pleasant to watch a video of it than to actually be there in the heat (although I guess it's not too much of a problem in January). Anyway, nice video! No need for music, though.
Wicked. Time lapse is always more impressive at night too. Don't care for the Phoenix airport though thankfully I didn't have to connect through there at all this year.
@Fergobirck It was video taken with a Canon HF S10. I exported every frame from the video to a png using mplayer. This took roughly 450 GB. I then wrote a perl script (using Image::Magick bindings) to read in 30 frames at a time, reduce the levels 30-fold, composite them into one image, and then write out the new frame. I then used ffmpeg to merge the audio track and processed frames back into a video. This resulted in a much smoother feel than taking every nth frame from the source video.
whats the tune?

☆★☆That's AMAZING ☆★☆
You've done too much unnecessary work, however, to raise the frame rate.
With Adobe Premiere CS4, you can speed up your videos easily with a single click.
.
Check it out on my last video :)
