how soon can we expect the ipod/iphone version and will there be differences in possibilities?

Just bought it - if you don't have an iPad yet, this is a reason to buy one. Can a MIDI keyboard with a 5 pin DIN cable be connected?

@fluXXXion Yes - using the Camera Connection Kit from Apple. You will also need a powered USB hub if keyboard itself is not powered. I have a cheap midi cable with a usb at one and 2 5 pin connectors at the other (In and Out) and these worked okay.
