This game was alright. 3 is one of my favorites though. I also really liked SMW. :) One of the reasons is probably the Koopa Kids as bosses.

Also, I kind of like the songs like this one, bust mostly I think the original SMB music is kind of overrated. I'd rather listen to the other main themes or something like Birabuto Kingdom from Super Mario Land, Bob-Omb Theme from Super Mario 64, etc.

Super Mario Land was alright and pretty simple too, but it had great music. :)

Easy.

When you're underwater, there is more gravity pushing down on you.

Since you're overtop of a pit, there will be even more water pushing down on you than before, which will logically make you sink faster, which gives the illusion that you're being pulled down, where in reality you are actually being pushed. :P

That, or it's just NES physics.

Underwater levels are the most under-rated part of any game. In this game, I would always take the warp pipe in World 1-Level 2 to World 2 just so I could get to the best level in the whole game, World 2-Level 2.

And before you ask: yes, Minus World was the most awesome thing in this whole game. People are just crazy for saying that its the video game equivalent of purgatory (I'm being sincere by the way).
