We disable the bells and whistles of XP or Vista's Aero to save the video resources. Why waste them on pretty desktop and menu colors?

Hey - downloaded & paid for this vid & the first part is totally confusing me. When your champhering the kerb how are you selecting the corner points? eg at an intersection the edges leading to the point are tapered, how do you simultaneously taper all those edges? The way you show to select all of the points doesn't make sense.
