The season 4 DVD set has the alternate final scene on it: while getting ready to leave the house, Ephram gets a phone message from Madison who's back in town, and it ends with his talking on the phone with her while Amy waits outside with the Ferris wheel, on the verge of tears. I guess they were to use that if there had been another season.

This is and ALWAYS WILL BE my favorite show!!! I'm a huge fan of Treat Williams and Gregory Smith. Treat and Gregory did an awesome job of playing roles where the bond was broken between the father and son, and then rebuilding that relationship. I loved the interaction between all of the actors on this show. I cried my heart out at this scene. It was so beautiful and the show ended so beautifully. I truly hated to see it end.

this is one of the best tv shows ever aired on tv, it is just too bad it was pretty underrated. The show got cancelled in its 4th season, believe it or not folks, this wasn't supposed to be the ending. The producers actually wanted the show to be given a 5th season but that decision never came about. It is pretty sad that this show is not more famous because these days we've got a lot of boring tv shows about vampires aimed at an audience of stupid teenagers that never get cancelled.

i miss a tv show like this! everwood dawson's creek and one tree hill will always bring that "nostalgic feeling" due to the life/love quotes that made u think in life and reflect. oh and that cheesy music in the begining ofc :) brings back good memories . now we only have gossip girls vampires diaries etc full of teenager drama with no meaning, guess time changed :P

I seriously would do anything to see/get Gregory Smith back on television. He is one of the best young actors I have ever seen. This show is a reminder of how amazing he was. I honestly can not believe that this show was cancelled. I jut got the second season on DVD and after watching only the first disk, I realized how much I actually missed it. Everwood was an inspiring, bright, funny, sweet, heartbreaking, and brilliant show and I don't ever want it to go to waste.
