  • hey Ryan if ya read this thanks brother we miss him too ny dead heads thanks again

  • this song, and this performance of it particularly, is quite simply one of my favorite pieces of music. I was introduced to it by Furthur, and now I'm a Ryan Adams enthusiast. This song and the whole album Cold Roses sorta comes off as a tribute to the Grateful Dead's influence on Ryan Adams... this song for Jerry?

    so beautiful

and imagine having all the living members of one of the bands that influenced you cover YOUR song on a reg when they decide to get back together and make music again?

  • Love the jerry feel on the jam part.

  • i think i go into a coma of ecstasy when i hear this song

  • swoooooon

    wow

  • Ryan Adams is the greatest songwriter of our generation. Untouchable

  • nice recording. Neal Casal

  • WoooW ! Just wanna listen to it over and over ... RA and The Cardinals, they sounds so smooth and so effortless.... Masterpiece !!!!

  • just a bit of heaven on earth!

  • this song is one of my very favorites. the sound on this vid is fab, too. Did you pull it directly from the board?

  • @seanmharcailin Yes, it's directfeed (wasn't me though). You can download the whole concert on mp3/flac at archive(.)org. Just type in "Ryan Adams live at das Haus". Perfectly legal, bootlegs are usually done with Ryan's permission.

  • this video blows me away.

rarely do i find someone who can make me feel that good just by playing beautiful notes and singing.

i won't lie, though, i'm more fond of it when furthur plays it.

  • I was at this show, think he played for about two and a half hours^^ best music ever!

  • @Obscht , ohhhh, how I envy You this !

  • simply beautiful no other words can describe this song

  • I think I heard Ryan mention the Grateful Dead as a big influence in an interview on world cafe. This is a beautiful song

  • That jam breakdown in the middle has a very Grateful Dead feel to it, a little St. Stephen or even Dark Star touch, very smooth playing for sure

  • The lead guitarist has a definite Jerry Garcia style, too. Great stuff.
