The true king of MUSIC may forever rest peacefully, and we respect, and remember him everyday. people like him make me proud to be who i am; african. thank you lord for sending us your messenger, the messenger of music. micheal jackson has nothing on him.

  • Not to offend anyone but it's food for thought: Maybe he discovered he had aids and started drinking his life away before he had the accident.maybe that's y he came up with this song

  • never really knew he was until his death. but its quite obvious he had a huge influence on a lot of people. shame he died so young, but i guess life is a bitch like that. its not fair. but i hope his death has taught people a lesson, about drinking and driving. and also the police that they need to be more responsible. R.I.P. Dagrin

  • our mouth is giving to us to chat the course of our lives. bible says the tongue is a little part in the body but wat gr8 fire it can cause. if only this guy knew dat by singing this song, he activated the power of death over his life, he wud not have sang this song. My friends wat are u confessing over ur life @ any point in tym, rememba, if the cloud be full of rain , it of necessity empty it self on the earth. u form ur cloud by d words u say over ur life and every thing around u, speak rite

  • @JENNIEREX you are wrong they often say these people start sensing they are going to die. My cousins husband dreamt of his death one month later he was killed. Im sure DaGrin saw something that made him write this song.

  • Up till now January 2011, I still cant believe Dagrin is gone...Soon be a year... You are missed soo sooo muchhhhhhh...Pain that will never go away...But we as Nigerians share the pain all together. *sigh*

  • wow we have d same name Olaitan i miss u n i pray u r with Jesus now RIP

  • In my mind, I have the opinion that God might have taken this guy's life in order to make him have a place in Heaven 'cos he was already astray but still knew GOD and presented himself as a sinner before HIM each time in almost all his lyrics. If he lived longer, he might end up in Hell after his death. But God knows the best....

  • We love and miss you Da Grin

  • The power of Tongue !!!! He killed himself ,warning for all ! Watch what you say, there is something they called '' Will Power " . How can you sang this kind of Song and you don't expect nothing to happen to you all in the name of becoming a Music star ! Too bad for this guy ! To me Killed himself ! If you dream anything in life and consciously tap into that revelation ! Your dream will come to pass ! Watch what you say ! The spiritual created world creatd this material world.

  • RIP My Friend. Just hear you passed away after over 2 months. You are a rare GeM. We knew your hussle and pain. We know you are in a better place now. Rest in PEACE. God rest your gentle soul. So sad... Henry loves ya

  • wentin im bin dey tink wen im sing ds song

  • R I P DAGRIN

  • Hey @BigRecky , the wahala and danger they are singing about is not about physical wahala and danger, they are only using those words to express their feelings for women, go listen to it properly... Songs hav no message in it, if we expect messages from artists then every one would go insane, take for example, in North America, artists sing about then taking Crack, Cocaine, and weed, and they have so many fans around the world, so if u are expecting a message from a song, then sorry.....

  • Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit of it – Proverbs 18:21. We should be careful what we say. His last song was “If I die”. The power of the tongue, made manifest. We should learn from this and always speak positive words. “Do you think he would have sung that song if he knew he was going to die?” Take care of your tongue and don’t speak negative things or let anybody speak negative things into your life. God Loves You. Rest In Peace DA GRIN.

  • @IAmBlessedOfGod

"You do not start living until you have overcome the fear of dying." Dagrin was able to overcome the fear of dying, that is why his memory will live with us. This song manifest the gift of "premonition" an nothing more. Besides the very talented are never made to last long, often times they die in thier prime. Think!

  • I wish you could wake up like lazarus and sound the warning ........"I know say heaven dey Even GOD dey" AWa to ku ki ase aye reeee ooooooooo.

  • I think he knew he was going to die..!

  • rest in peace man miss ya much man...

  • It's about time people stop singing about death. Ayinla Omowura did it, he died immediately or may be before the album was released. and look at this young kid, I called him young because if not for his death he would have lived becoming one of the greatest artist in our Country NIGERIA. may his soul rest in PEACE

  • "I be sinner I know say I dey Sin"...."I no start like this for Church I start with drum set" I hope he made peace with God before he died, he certainly loved and appreciated his creator, but our lives do not sometimes reflect the demands of Christianity. God help us all.

  • what I can say is dat he knows dat he is going to die if not he would not hv made this song. Many people knows their destiny. If u are close to God enough he can actually speak to u in dreams, premonition, or vision. I can emphatically say dat he knows somethin before making this song. Just like Tupac. Its sad though. May God grant his family the power/strength to bear the loss, and may He comfort their soul. Amen. RIP DA GRIN

  • Don't know what to say right now... Cause Griiiiiin issss.....

  • Barack O'Grin i miss you die man.. everytime i listen to ur music tears dey drop from my eyes from no where... you are gone too soon man... Rest in perfect peace still!!

  • RIP

  • rip man

  • rest in peace brova ..... may the lord jesus christ hold u as his son and forgive u for ur sin .. you shall be truly missed ... r.i.p

  • Da Grin has come and gone.....what would it profit a man to gain the whole world and loose his soul,I wish and hope he live a good life to be a lesson for the rest people left in the world. He stated in his Album that if he Die ,No one should cry for him but i guess it would never be possible cause he is never a chicken or a goat so his love one's must feel him and cry for him expectualy his lovely Parent when he Die

  • What happend to him

Pls ooo am not living in nigeria.

  • @That6cgirl.... well from what i gathered from ppl, he was involved in a fatal accident: They said he was drunk while driving and drove into a truck(trailer). He had the accident on 04/14/10 and died on 04/23/10 at luth(Lagos state university teaching hospital).... I dont live in Nigeria neither do i know him as well but I'v been following up with his stories to know who he was b/4 he died. I hope this info helps!

  • I will never forget you my main man . i have never loved any artist just the way i have loved you . God will grant you eternal life

  • rip i miss u

  • r.i.p trust and believe you'll never be forgotten

So Young, So Touching, So Pure , So Talented ......

    RIP

  • R.I.P dagrin....you will always be remembered.

  • Dagrin, I still believe there's more to your brief existence on earth. But would rather be good if you go solo without having peoples emotion in line. May your gentle soul R.I.P as I pray that our GOD accepts you and grant you a glorious home in His bosom. We miss you Dagrin and feel you too. Please 'ARTISTS' I think you guys need to watch your lyrics, abeg. One Love Dagrin. You'll forever be remembered. Mr. Biddiee.

  • R I P Dagrin i am bitterly down due to ur sudden death.

  • C.E.O Dont tell me not to CRY

    Becos am still crying

  • The words of our mouth!!!

  • @ELCHENDUS wats that got to do with anything.

  • @redygt .....Don't you know that our tongue is the strongest instrument of creation even for destruction!

  • Barack o' Grin,why this soon?

  • Ko le ye wa 4 real....only God lo ye.

Sun re oo barack o grin :(

  • Sorry man, I know you wouldnt want to die. what can i say...death will come when it will come.RIP

  • RIP you went so soon.

  • omo ogun, akogun, ceo, mosofunyi entertianment, adieu dagrin, just like yesterday but no more today.we are like candle in the wind which goes down as the wind blows.what a world, the good ones dont last long.

  • @BigReckyD Well....... he did sing "Thank God" with Omawunmi plus he refers to God in his songs so let the repentance thing rest and let peeps just remember him for what he did.

  • The Bible says Death and Life is in the power of the tongue and I don't mean to be judgmental but this young man took the sad path of Hip-Hop that took Pac and Big...they used their tongue to call forth their end! My message to rappers this morning is this...watch what inspires you to write and what comes out of your mouth. Your tongue pilots your life and determines the direction it takes. This young man has no business singing this type of song at 23 when he has a whole lot ahead of him.

  • I wonder if he had the chance to receive Jesus as his Lord and Saviour! I wonder if he ever thought about eternity... we must reach out to our artists before we loose more of them this way. I am also sending out a word to everyone check the songs you write and the songs you sing... I wonder why P Square will be singing about wahala and danger at this stage of their career...I wish they realize the implication of that, what message are we passing to the generation coming after us?

  • @BigReckyD of cos he accept jesus has is lord and seviour.. cos.....he use to say,ask my mom, jesus is enough for me( ni lsin jesus ti yo mi)

  • @BigReckyD

may be u should realise, this is someones' son, brother, nephew, friend. probabaly best keeping your religious ecstasy to yourself. has your religion stopped all the bad things from happening in this world. so what has his death got to Do with accepting. He is free moral agent as a result he chose his path. And you are no judge to know wheder he died at the right time or not. Dont be surprised he get into that heaven b4 you self righteous person. May be some comments are uncalled for

  • @shola04

Folks like you amaze me with the way you view things but its not for me to argue with you. My question is this...what impact has his music made in your life? Do you have a something you can take from him to the next generation? And even you... have you bothered to find out why you were born and what you are here to do? Chase your life's purpose and stop the beef over someone's untimely death...You need Jesus!!!

  • @BigReckyD

    u so ryt

  • @shola04 Have I got words for you? YOU NEED JESUS!

  • true say my dear, the power of our life and death is in your tongue.(SEE PROVERBS 18:21.) God bless.

  • @BigReckyD

    bless u

  • you are right eternity is important.there is nothing in this world

  • @123oreoluwa important wen u tink u v an idea of where ur goin to.truly derz nothing in dis world and more than nothing wen ur goin to the wrong place

  • @BigReckyD well if hospitals were up to standard and maybe a quick ambulance, or the government insist on using seatbealt, he might still be alive. I also do not think God is that stupid-

    1. He might have been bad all this why and then just cos he's on a death bed he prays for forgiveness. That's cynical.

Rest in peace bro. We for jand miss u die.

  • @BigReckyD

Here we go again, I wonder why u so called "born again" christains can't see beyond your own noses. If a gospel singer dies, it doesn't matter how they lived their private life, all you see is the life preached in their music. You ought not be a judge when you should be a soul-winner. Your "holier than thou" stance is not new to me, after all Obasanjo also claims to be born again christian.... as does Ayoka - who almost made Ekiti burn out of existence.

  • @BigReckyD God bless u for the message u are relaying, i had to stop myself and my household from listening to PSquare's "dem dey see danger" and other nonsense of their songs also the likes f Terry G. Its not amending our generation its rather building a worse future.......May God help us and forgive us our sins. Amen

  • @tommybritney ......shut up....those people out of notin made sometin......what was has ur government been doing for the teeming youths of unemployed....you think your kids would not be affected by peer pressure..tomorrow..nonsense...some.... people just feel they can control people's destiny....do your best but your loved ones would become what they want to become..

  • @ugowoundo even at the meaning of ur name u go wound, u need not a response cos u don wound already. lol

  • @tommybritney .......so if terry g a ur brother de bring bread come house u go say make im stop the job.....can't u see d foolishness in ur level thought....abeg go sit down for latrine....and put ur mouth for the hole way they there...

  • @BigReckyD, thank you so much for the great words. I'm from Cote D'Ivoire and I didn't know this artist until today and I like his song, unfortunately I just found out that he died since April. And his death really pains me a lot. As christians we can pray for his soul to rest in peace. Thanks and have a blesses day

  • @BigReckyD my guy thanx 4 the preachin..but na pipo like u wey the use every tragedy like this to put fear in pipo..na make naija no dey feet grow..

person wey dey sick..if dr no know he job u go say na winchi..if land floud the same thin instead of to investigate..

waitin u need to ask urself na wiatin this guy dey c or pass tru wey make am talk about his own death..

REST IN PEACE MAN..GOD 4GIVE ME IF I SIN 4 THIS TEXT..

BUT NA MY MIND BE THIS..

  • @BigReckyD SHUT UP

  • @BigReckyD and we should be careful what we listen to as well.

  • @BigReckyD ur very ryt...don't mind dem.....da grin R I P

  • @BigReckyD sure he did, he did not die on d spot. he was saved, most important thingy..... he even sent a shout out to hes Facebook, twitter, and YouTube fans this was hes sai before he gave up d ghost... he was was prayed 4 before hes final leave...... i know is on white pearl now waiting @ d gate

  • Now he is with everyone's mother. Great Mother Earth. She takes each into her arms, when we leave the force. He can rest now, he has given everything. Now it's up to us to take his legacy and carry on. Now you young people from Nigeria must take his words on. In your heart and your deeds.

I feel how much he will fail you. and my heart hurts. Although I am not from Africa. But why he can not yet participate in the Hip-Hop Awards in May? With his videos? Although he no longer directly there ?

  • why soon

  • dis is emotional :(

  • Da grin how can u tell us not to cry for you ....omg...i cant stop crying ....God pls accept his soul......we intercede for da grin ....have marcy on his soul and pls forgive him........

  • @seymark2 HE MEANT SHOOTING A VIDEO, NOT WHAT YOU ARE THINKING...

  • @temmey2003 Thanks bro.... i learnt my mistake....

  • @seymark2 i think what "Kayode" meant was that he had the opportunity to

    shoot Dagrin's video ...
