  • Just find tools and make the picture duration the absolute lowest

  • dude u dont have to click and drag the pics u just go to tools and then options then change the picture duration

  • Thats so awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • whoever unliked this why were they even watching this helped me a lot lol

  • thnx iv been wonderin how to do this :)

  • say after you make the stop motion you want the guy that is flying to have fire coming out of his jetpack. how would you do this. please replay back!!!

  • @xshadowsoundwave117x There would be several ways of doing this... You could use Photoshop to add some flames or just add flames to the subject before you take the picture.

  • cool

  • you use a zi6 hu

  • thanks!!

  • How do you add sound?

  • This very helpful

  • Thanks. This is very helpful

  • can you also use a media player reply

  • how do you get the timeline plz reply

  • @TheJra777 I'd imagine you are using "Windows Live Movie Maker" for windows 7. Sadly, that version does not have a timeline which can be a real drag. I am in the same situation you are in. The best you can do is download an older version of Windows movie maker. Try looking up "download windows movie maker 2.6 free". That is the version I now use since it has a timeline and is free. If you have trouble finding it, try going on youtube to find a download link.

  • Instead of dragging it just go to Tools then options then advanced options and picture duration and go down to 0.250 sec and it will be better instead of 1 sec

  • Fish looks cute

  • how can I find movie maker

  • Thx for the epic tutorial. I want to make basic stopmotion with a camcorder and WMM. I don't want any fancy crap and you showed me a good tutorial. :)

  • I wanna know how you make stuff stand up on the edge like a biscuit or piece of paper or something.. plz help coz i love making stop motions (check out my skittles one) but i can't figure out how to do this without leaning it against stuff and then it looks really bad...help?

  • very nice tutorial, you did a great job explaining how to do everything. i agree too with what you said about how virtually every video editing software lets you create a stop motion, I personally like to use movie studio 9 but that's just because i like the interface a little bit better.

  • che stronzata

  • wow. we also did a lego stop motin movie which has taken us 200hours to complete. it's pretty awesome so check it out on my channel.

  • thanks helped me alot i always wanted to do this

  • @lewisgunner1 wow. we also did a lego stop motin movie which has taken us 200hours to complete. it's pretty awesome so check it out on my channel.

  • the 8 people who unliked it dont know what they r doing

  • Yes there is a way, set it to 0.25 frames per second. And if its to fast, you can change the length

  • Pictures? Why not a video like the old VHC cameras? Or it can't be done with digital cameras, with videos? My video-camera takes awful pictures.

  • lol this way would take sooo long.

  • @HowToAndMore what software do you use to take your video screenshots (?) for each video? it seems in this video there is a break between the time you shorten each picture in WMM till when you are done with all of them (one moment you are editing the middle pic and the next it's all done). But no noticeable break in the vid itself

  • cheers man great video whats your main channel?

  • @BradleyUzi1994 This is my main channel. :)

  • Thanks, very simple and helpful.

  • thank you :)

  • NICE :)

  • i don't have a dirty room so i'm not going to thumbs up!

  • y dont people use there cell phone camcorder to make stop motions wats wrong with that plz reply back

  • @mweezzie Well may be for a couple reasons. Quality and time. Although I just got a new Samsung Fascinate (which I have an unboxing for on my main channel), the picture quality is pretty good. Although, the majority of cell phone cameras don't even compete with stand alone cameras quality wise. And if you have a stand alone camera that has a remote for you to take pictures fast and easily, it will save you a lot of time filming each individual frame.

  • @HowToAndMore oh cool by the way how much does it cost to download that window movie maker

  • @mweezzie Windows Movie Maker is free. It should be already on your PC.

  • @HowToAndMore oh ok srry for the late comment but one more question are you able to upload pictures from a cell phone thats is usb compatible

  • @HowToAndMore Great tutorial. I think it is also possible to automatically set all images to a certain time length, no?

PS. Nokia has some pretty excellent camera phones. The latest, Nokia N8 announced last April had 12mp cam with huge sensor that in independent tests by GSMArena showed it outdid not just other camera phones but the Sony HX5v (400dollar+ camera). Other tests by other tech blogs showed it has out done many compacts in detail. They've shot movies and magazine covers with it too

  • @MyNokiaBlog In Windows Live Movie Maker you can select all images by clicking the first one and then clicking the last one while holding shift. The you go to Video Tools/Edit and change the duration to whatever you want.

  • Nice tutorial dude. Is there any other programs to use for any picture editing like blood overlap an object, and such? Send me a message. :D

  • @ROBLOXUSER12345 There's Adobe Photoshop and After Effects... Both cost a shiny penny. But I'm sure there's a way to get a free version using our friend Google...

  • I made a stopmotion movie too !! Watch it @ AlexxGGamer

  • u help alot

  • why did ya use windows movie maker when you have sony vegas pro 9

  • @desfire13 Because most people have Windows Movie Maker.

  • This was a great tutorial but there was one thing missing.instead of adjusting ever single image to the right size you can go to ''tools'' then go down then go to ''options'' then go to ''picture duration'' then set it to the minimum speed then you have a nice smooth animation.if its to fast then you can always experiment with it.

  • Imagine robot chicken and how long that takes..lol

  • This is awsome! Thanks for doing this!!

  • Good job. I like 2 watch tut's & how-2's on YuTube! Thanx.

  • umm i am not gay kid, but nice video

  • Excellent Work !

thanks for taking the time to explain the process.

  • Lol windows movie maker, What a joke

  • pause at 0:35

  • thank you for awesome tutorial

  • thankyou

    very well explained :)

  • or u can just go to tools and change the duritation

  • Do you have any idea how to do a time lapse with a webcam?

  • That is such a textbook, no wasted time explanation. I used to do stopmotion in 8mm, and it is the exact same process capturing your footage, but on the computer I have edited things in one day that would have taken weeks back then(you had to mail your film for developing back then, usually twice, and physically cut out, with a blade, what did not work). You just made feel old, but proud!

  • Yeah, stop motions are really tedious but really cool if you manage to stay with it and complete them. If you have any stop motions you'd like to share just post them as a video response.

  • thx!so much that helped could u make one about how to do effects plz like for example if i were to jump teach us how to do it over and over again plz!:)

  • thank you sooooo much

  • Hey nice how to.

  • thx

  • This has got too be the best tutorial ever man... I already new this, but you explain this so well and clearly. 5*

    1) You can just film, put it in WMM, then press the split button after every second or something.

    2) I use Adobe After Effects CS3 to achieve the same thing.

    Again, great tutorial.

  • Thanks! I wanted to make a especially good tutorial when I hit 1000 subscribers because it's a good checkpoint and I haven't made a how-to video in a while.

  • Good idea;)

  • WOOP! STOP MOTION FISHY :P

  • i thought itshard

  • Nice whens my music Comming on ?

  • what genre is ur music

  • All, Remix's Really

  • Dat looks easy but it takes along time huh? Thanks though its cool to know :)

  • nothing worth having is ever quick and easy lol

man i'm bored.... dishing out philosophical tidbits

  • wow its really easy i thought it was harder

  • Yeah, it's pretty easy but it takes a lotttttt of time to get a good sized video.
