I actually did this look without a curling iron, I sectioned my hair so it looked like half an umbrella in the back, then rubberbanded all the ends, then flipped them under and pinned them, then I teased each side of the front individually to get the poof, then combed it back, sprayed it, and put a headband on it slightly further back on my head than where I wanted, then pushed it up to get more poof, and sprayed it again, it turned out quite well, everyone thought I cut my hair
