Lost connection to EA Online in mid-game (re: Bad Company)

this game might be oldbut EA is still being a bitch at no fixin there servers when i got this game it worked fine for about a year then after that all iv been geting is the same msg that popup and its realy pissing me off i did not pay for a game thati cant play EA better get ontop of things and fix there god damn servers

I know that this game is old as h*ll, but I bought this game 2 days ago (platinium version) and i'm also getting these connection failures... so are you still getting these failures? I mean that is the problem still common or is it just my connection... :(

thats just ur firewall or ur router n try switching ur ethernet cable i did that n never done it again that wa son the game mag it happened in every match n wa sjust cuz of my cable

Hi Hab, Bought BC2 Limited Edition yesterday and already EA ONline keeps dropping my connection mid-game. Just goes to show old habits never die! Take care and hope things improve for both of us :) PCofTQY.

...Touch wood, things have improved in the past 4 or 5 months. I've also switched ISP from Orange to O2 & it has made the world of difference. I'm saving £8 per month AND the speed has increased from 7 to 20MB/second. If you haven't already, I hope you all experience an improvement sometime soon. All the best & happy gaming,  PCofTQY.

hi its not just this game that has ea problems c&c on xbox 360 when u try and find a game it just says all the time can not connect to ea server please try again later. u would have thought they would of tried to sort tis prolem out

I don't know why but the connection problem has mysteriously been resolved (by EA Online I assume, cos I haven't done a thing). I have been trying all-day, every day for 3 days and I just keep being dropped by EA Online... this just sucks now!

I came up with a theory on why this is happening lately so I went online and played for a little while and then gave my theory a test.

I made an announcement on Bluetooth that I was fed up with the kind of service I was getting from EA Online and within a second I was dropped by them.

I truly believe that they are starting to monitor Bluetooth conversations and if they hear anything they don't like (or if they see a nickname too often) then they cut you off.

I wonder if this is poss?

Hi. Like you, I have been having problems getting online to play the game lately. Things have just gone from bad to worse.

 Even when I do eventually get into the game, EA Online drops me (like in the video clip) or there's loads of lag, like all afternoon/evening yesterday (17 December). I wish online gaming was monitored by a regulator or something so we would be assured a decent service. If you're like me, my game goes to pot when I can't get into it properly. Happy Xmas, PCofTQY

It's now another 3 weeks on, & nothing has changed... still as pants as ever!

Someone wrote to me recommending I should sign in to Playstation Network outside of the game & then log-in within the game. However, that did not work.

Then today I started playing without my earpiece until I was on a big map where I thought Bluetooth would help. I switched it on & within seconds I was offline.

Anyone reading this please let me know if your problem happens whilst you are using Bluetooth.

It's nearly two weeks later and quite honestly the service is no better... I'm still struggling to sign-in, and when I do, I get dropped by the server after a few minutes. IT'S NOT ACCEPTABLE E.A. ONLINE!!!
