I know you found it and I don't know why I'm commenting on this BUT ... I don't think its based on what collar it wears. Its the trainer points. Just like in order to train your dogs in certain tricks, you have to have a certain amount of trainer points ;)

2.go for a walk and go through all the boxes u can.........but leave sum stamina so u can go to the park and back to ur house but when u go to the park change ur dogs accessory then once its finished saving turn ur ds off and turn back on now u can go for another walk........repeat if neccisary

hey i found it now its not that hard this is what i do

1. get you least favorite dog in for a shower and plug your ds into charger then lather the dog 4 a little then put the sponge i the middle of its body then leave your ds open on your floor/bed ect next to the charger and go have fun.........................wh­en u come back finish washing dog and once ur finished your trainer points will have gone up

to find the jack russel you have to go on a walk. I found my jack russell by walking and i found a book about them.When you fing the book, it automatically unlocks the russel terrier.

@MM613 Just keep walking your dog. Finding items isn't due to luck its just random. However, your older dogs tend to find better pressents

umm well u probably already know this but go to the park, change ur dogs accessory, wait for it to auto save, and turn off ur DS. then put it back on nintendogs and you will be able to go for another walk. that way u can take as many walks as you want.

one way to get realy good items is to 1 put up the clover clock 2 put lucky collar on all the dogs 3 collect the items that are far from the house walk slow some presents are not on the map.

fireman hats are for dalmatians, if u get the hat, u get dalmatians. Also, i heard if u wear a knit hat and use clover clock u have better chances of getting jack russel book
