    .

  • Love all of your videos, I've learned so much, Thank You!

  • woah, thanks heaps!! :)

  • wow we live in a year where u shouldn t believe that s the original pictures even they are FAKE !

  • thanks a lot! your the man! and im your avid fan!

    you help us a lot!

  • your tutorials are brilliant, you are so clear on what to do & its extremely helpful. Im looking forward to giving this one a go :) thanks for taking the time to help us

  • Can you dedicate a tut to just lips? Thanks for the awesome tuts thus far.

  • The video is a little blurry so its difficult to see the results.

However, it should be very easy to follow even if toggling between photoshop and youtube!

  • Really the best Photoshop tutorials, I've seen. All praise ranash1995, and just continue that.

  • are you austrailian?

  • You can use apply image for the first step.

  • @N495illithian lol i was thinking the same thing.

  • Amazing tutorial... thanks !!

  • THANX!!

  • hey, I was wondering, are you Australian cause I recognise the accent? You really sound like Hugh Jackman! nice video though, it was great help to me!!

  • Lol?

  • i don't like this, it looks too blurry for me, not skin-like anymore :-/

  • How do you create a mask layer? I can't find it!! Help!

  • Work exactly as you said. Thanks... Will have fun with it!

  • Hey, I am just wondering why people do this? Is it for fun or just to air brush people to make them seem prettier than they really are? Because I found out people study this as a living :O

  • Use GIMP lol

  • First of all, I don't see any difference watching it on my iPhone but it could be my screen. The way I'd do it is to make a copy of skin on it's own layer, blur it very high, add noise and overlay blend mode then play around with opacity until she looks natual and not plasticy, but I'll try this soon too, it's nice to have options :p

  • It won't allow me to draw the "foundation" on the layer mask. Any one care to help?

  • ok so I tried this... but my layer always seems to blocked by the time I want to do the overlay... and it won't let me change it... then I do like a duplicate layer and when I try to make overlay it looks nothing like your result lolol what am I doing wrong??

  • lol picnik has like... 20 things to do.. photshop MILLIONS of things, u just need to know how to use it, learn how to with videos en youtube or experiment and... i gont my photshop free with the computer and u dont need to buy it, just get someone with the CD to install it

  • lol, thats because photoshop has been designed for professionals and picnik has not. haha :)

  • well done!^^ I did a make up look photoshop video too hee hee (^_^)8~~~

  • I think her skin was quite nice to begin with...

  • its bc hes done 2 other effects to the skin alredy...but her original skin was at first decent as well lol

  • wow brilliant! I use photoshop a lot, but mostly for graphic design- you make me realize how many features I don't even know the uses for! So creative :)))

  • All your videos help a lot. Thanks!

  • Do you think you could do a tutorial on how to cover stretch marks? Every time I seem to try it just looks so weird! Obviously I'm not doing it right!

  • Stretch marks are in the works, but it would be helpful if you could send me a high resolution example of an image that is giving you trouble.

  • Folks, get a grip! Skin softening and retouching are about subtle improvements, not looking like a barbie doll at the end! Try the technique yourselves and see what a difference it makes.

  • not big deference sorry

  • well i see an enormous difference although i'm not watching in hd.

    well done!

  • You are amazing :) thank you so much!

  • TEACHING video, man. A little bit too much is happening in this one to hammer folks over the head with the stamp keyboard combo. And yes, we DO use this technique to soften skin, its one of the most sophisticated methods out there... this is one of many techniques that are used in differing situations!

  • i like that you reply to all these know it alls'

    anyways great job man

  • Where's the difference? Even in the HD video there's not much :(

  • no difference lol

  • its so complicated,, hmm

  • @alinzs lol. It is quite simple really. Just follow what he says, and I promise it will work.

  • Why not just use the blur tool?

  • If you spead up your vid a bit it'll make it perfect.

But other than that; Love It :)

  • did exactly like u did , but that isnt work , picture is still same like original

  • Use your won settings, dont copy his setting.

  • this looks awesome...but i cant use it cause i have photoshop elements 7..any tips?

  • I'm so confused...how come Photoshop has to be so DIFFICULT??!!

  • It's like that in the beginning :)

Should've seen me desperately trying to find the healing brush tool 9 months ago when I first got photoshop :p

  • WTF You Make this So EAsy For Me Thanks Alot Thanks Thanks

  • Your tutorials make this so much easier, thank you for taking the time and going step by step on each application and process!!

  • Hey thanks so much, this effect is GREAT for my Manips thanks good job

  • nice technique but she looked pretty good anyways you should've chose a better photo

  • wonderful tutorial. however, i just bypass the high pass portion. I usually just make an extra copy of the original picture, then make a gausian blur of that image. then create a layer mask, fill it with black. then get my brush, click on white and fill in portion of the picture in which i want the gausian blur to be. If it's too blurry, i decrease the opacacity...and the skin looks perfect. I don't understand why you use the high pass step???

  • This is awesome

    Love your tutorials.

    Really helpful. :D :D

  • oh wow. thanks x

  • i have a different version of photoshop and i can't find where to add a layer mask!! help?

  • Ahem. A different version of Photoshop... that version would be...?

  • oh sorry. it's 5.0

  • OK, version 5.0 does have layer masks and uses exactly the same technique as I use to add them. Take a look at the video, one more time!

  • What about CS4?

  • I don't get the last part...

how do i get the foundation back? I'm using the brush tool, and white colour,

    But i doesn't work :s !

    pls, help me :)!

  • wow dude thanks it really works love you !! keep it up

  • I need to remind all the new PS users here, that this is a reasonably advanced technique and you need to have a solid grasp of layers and channels before diving in. If you don't have the basics clear, it WILL be difficult to get the results that I have.

  • quite confusing:(

  • Absolutely and totally awesome!

  • its not working :[

my models face stays the same

only the eye corners are changing..

  • HELP! when i tried to paint the mask, i couldn't see the brush, i can't see the size of the brush and where i am painting! :S

  • I'm just a noob...is the layer you want to edit selected? Are you clicking the box for the mask?

  • Rules of life in Photoshop: to edit ANYTHING the layer it is on MUST be selected. Ctrl+Click to select a mask by clicking on the box. (Cmnd+Click for Mac)

  • if u accidentally cap lock ur keys, press it again. make sure they r not on capital letter mode

  • you make great tutorials, hope you make more!

  • cs4 extended rocks

  • there is already a cs4 Photoshop?

  • yes there is (:

  • yey but i got leopard (osx) on my pc

  • when making the layer mask before clicking layer mask hold alt or option than click....it will automatically be black

  • thnx

  • awesome info, very efficient and effective. Now my models look hotter.

    Thanks

  • what about the baby?

  • lmao

  • LOL

  • Ur my PS master! love Ur tutorials @ tutbucket :) Those are 100% complete and professional vids!

  • you have a very fast website

  • i use photoshop elements, and there is no mask tool. so instead of creating my own by using an adjustment layer, i just used the selection brush tool on the "makeup" layer to select the areas i wanted affected, selected the inverse, and pressed delete. i was left with makeup only on the areas i wanted it. much simpler. less room for mistakes, though.

  • instead of copy merged, you can just go to Immage > Apply Image. it does the same thing

  • I've also seen others use CTRL + ALT + SHIFT + E

  • Thank you a lot. I really helped!

  • This is an awesome video... I really like using this ... it makes a big change.

  • Great tutorial and I also love the way you go about explaining everything. Thanks.

  • Cheers, saved me Fages

  • your the best :)

  • Thanks! ^o^

  • You are looking for what you folks call Gaussiaans vervagen.. it is under the filter menu..somewhere ;)

  • yeah ur tutorials are definatly the best, they explain everything properly, thanks.

  • thnx u rock

  • you are very very helpful.

    thanks so much.

  • i have adobe photoshop elements 5.0 and i was wondering how do you add a layer mask

  • Thanks :)

  • If only 98 percent of the other vids were as clear and helpful as yours . Your voice is clear , no obnoxious music and clear and detailed steps. Way to go .

  • fazooooooooooooooooooooooooool

  • great help... you rock!

  • cool

    thankz for the tutorial

    very helpful

  • very good tutorial <3

  • really great tutorial. I'll try it soon, thanks.

  • nice job...thanks for the info

  • i found your tutorials easy to follow...i am new to photoshop and still found your tutorials really helpful and as a result have been able to produce some stunning photos.

    thank you !!!

  • you rock. thx

  • Sure sounds like it. Use Photoshops preferences and reset all of your tools. I only use standard factory settings for them. You may have reversed the White-Black functions of masks which can be reset in preferences (Black protects...White selects!)

  • I'll be more specific, when I let go of the mouse and apply the foundation and move over the same spot the old foundation wipes of. I recall this didnt happen at teh begining so I guess I could have pressed something without knowing. I hope you can help me, its really intefering with my projects. Thanks!

  • I would bet that you are painting on the mask with the wrong colour! You need white paint and you paint on the black mask to reveal the foundation. Black paint will do the opposite. Take another look at the vid! :)

  • No I am doing exactly what the video says and the same story:/. Maybe I need to rest default settings, how would I do that? Thanks for your reply.

  • This is so strange When I apply the foundation as you do in your tutorial, when I go over the same place again the foundation comes off! How can I stop this from happening! I cant make the skin perfect at all if I cant go over the same spot without the foundation coming off! Do you knwo whats wrong?

  • do u have to pay for photoshop ? anyway i like this vid thumbs up x

  • yea

  • your tutorials are so nice to follow and nicely talked through. Im basically a beginner and i found this so easy to follow.

    thankyouuu

    xxx

  • It's awesome! Thank You so much! It helped a lot!

  • this really helped me, thanks :)

  • also i am getting so freaken frustrated the damn hand tool won't go away no matter what i do do you know how to get rid of it?

  • Sounds like you might need a little bit of practice with the basics before diving into these advanced tutorials. Layers are a fundamental skill in PS, so if they are frustrating you, search out some layer tutorials first before you get too frustrated! The Hand tool will go away when you choose any other tool from the tool box on the left of the screen.

  • yeah the hand tool doesn't go away only after like 5 minutes i think there is too much crap on this old dell so thats why its doing that oh well...i get a laptop someday great video though..:)

  • alright i get all the way up to 5:22 then everything gets messed up..all i get is the hand tool even when i have the brush tool clicked on and the hand tool won't go away

  • okay in the beginning i can't figure out how to do the layer thingy...how do you merge the copys?? Ican't figure it out...i tried dragging i tried opening the same file how did you get all the same pictures on that scroll area to merge?

  • Ok I have done it all except when I added the layer mask and clicked on edit fill then click on black, the layer mask wont fill in black? but I don't get why it wont. As I have done the exact what you have done. I have CS3.

  • Just a guess here, but I suspect that your selection needs to be inverted before you try for the black fill. PC its Ctrl+I Mac Command+I, then try for the fill.

  • Or you may need to hve the paint brush selected in your tools palette dum ass lmao

  • Harsh dude. Also dead wrong. Stepfanny is asking about the mask fill, not brushing. We are here to share knowledge and not bully. Two demerits! (Nice collection of tutorials in your favorties, by the way.)

  • thx i learned now how to use the high pass...never understanded it:)

but for what is it exactly?

pls look at my retouchs too and command^^

    byee

  • understanded? lmao

  • i dont see any difference..

  • the part where you apply the white brush tool i did it over the whole face and didnt take my time and the results were amazing. nice tutorial thanks for the help. five stars! ;)

  • thankyou :) this video is excellent

  • which photoshop do you use?

  • Both CS3 and CS2. Depends on my mood. All of the techniques are valid all the way back to PS version 7.

  • grr i must be an idoit, i cant find the layer mask button!

i use Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0 btw

  • Yes, that would be because Photoshop elements does not have layer masks! Sorry!

  • Great tutorial, thank you! *subscribed*

  • this was very useful and easy to do.thankyou very much.

  • Thank u very very very very much!

  • WOW! Thanks sooo much!

  • I do not often give 5/5, but this one really deserves it. Feeling kind of stupid now, thinking of all the "blur-orgies" I had with my pictures.

  • hehh, very nice

  • thank you!!
