  • Deepak...you should protest against logging so you can stop manufacture of PAPER which is included in BOOKS and the PAPER you write on and wipe your ass with every day..two faced idiot

  • Deepak who? Last time I heard he's not from around here. Maybe he should go to India and demand birth control and help all the starving "people" in his country, instead of living in a mansion in LA?

  • The Grizz hunt is a controlled hunt by the ministry of wildlife. For those who wish to partake in it's action do so for their reasons only. Thank-you Deepak for your Opinion.

It is a Cull of the herd and after careful study it has been determined how many may be harvested for the good of it's kind. When nature becomes unblanced we the human manage it's rate of survival. You may also address the native peoples on this matter as they have their own Ideas and methods as well. Called tradition

  • Chopra is an armchair intellectual that couldn't find his ass with both hands in his back pockets.

  • @shortist2003 your the most short sighted person I've seen yet on YouTube .

You truly are a pin head that needs to educate yourself.

That was the most asinine statement I've heard in years.

What do you base your findings on

    Your meany years of research?

Don't forget your PETA meeting tonight.

Eat a big steak for dinner.

  • The majority of hunters I know are dope-smoking, beer-guzzling slobs whose minds have been steeped in generations of ignorance. These types never loose the "blood lust." I recently saw, hanging from a tree, a whitetail deer one of these slobs shot. At first, I thought it was a dog. Shameful! Greed and gluttony.

  • f you, deepak chopra, you are a pussy and should be ashamed of yourself. start wearing a dress, you are not man enough to wear pants.

  • Much better economically? Hunting and hunters do more for the conservation of animals like bears, and the protection of their habitats (forests, wetlands, etc) than any of those self-interested 'environmentalists'.

  • I don't think hunting is about destroying nature, not in the current climate anyway, people pay a lot of money to be able to do that stuff, and if there were no more bears then they wouldn't pay, so the land owners/hunt organizers/government whoever or where ever, then have a financially viable reason for protecting and controlling bear populations. I've never hunted and have gone back and forth on whether I will or not. personal opinions about how "vulgar" it might be aren't a concern though.

  • Don't you think stabbing something to death is going to cause more suffering than a well placed shot from a high power rifle? It's not about being cowardly. It's about ending the life of the animal as quickly as possible. The way cattle and poultry are slaughtered is way more inhumane. I agree with you trophy hunting isn't something I think is ok either. But I assure you trophy hunters are the minority. Use everything you can off the animal you take. Quick kill, no waste. That's the proper way

  • @McFreeSKy Yes, i agree with you pretty much all you said. When i said to kill it with a knife, i was being ironic, but you got the point ( we need to hide, kill from distance, cause we are weak agaisnt such creatures,). I know how inhumane a slaughter house is... but fortunally they are improving that, although rather slowly.. But i think its wrong to kill any kind of wild animals, we dont need it. its just luxury. killing a bear for food is luxury. its a species we are not suposed to kill.

  • Most don't hunt for sport, they hunt for food. Bear is quite edible and does not come chalk full of growth hormones and antibiotics that the food you buy at the grocery store does. Way less fat, way more protein. It's a life style choice. Just like being vegan. You think a slaughter house is more humane? I like healthy meat and knowing it's clean healthy meat. If your of a different opinion that's fine. But don't attack people until you have experienced both sides. Your not gonna change Anybody

  • @McFreeSKy Here is a fair, and thought post. Again, im against hunting for sport. I understand you, in my mind, is just wrong to hunt bears. just as many other wild animals. and then, you come up with this: hey, is okay to kill cows, or sheeps, but not bears? who are we to decide what to kill?? you know what i mean?

I have experiencied both sides, trust me. Hunting for sport is uterly wrong. thats all. Also, its cowardy the way its done. why dont you go hunt a bear with a 8" blade only?

  • @PsyGecko Hunting is considered a sport...just like fishing is. So anyone that hunts is hunting for sport. I hunt black bear in Ontario and find them to be quite tasty. I shoot one every year (the government sets the quota based on scientific research).

  • Look up the term carrying capacity. You can have a healthy population of hunted bears. Or you can have some that survive and others that starve to death. 2 all hunting license fees purchased in BC go directly into the BCWF, so hunters do support conservation. Every story has two sides, in the middle is the truth. Don't have a opinion until you open your mind.

  • Depok is not enlightened. His bad choice of causes to rally for & against and his capitalist pay-cation swamy resort ways are evident of his total lack of true enlightenment. Definatly NOT a Ghandi

  • Who the fuck is Deepak Chopra?

  • PETA pussy!

  • I am apalled that he is apalled. This man is typical of so many people who are anti hunting and for that matter anti whatever they disagree with. Well I feel no need for shame. I find it ironic that the majority of those who are so anti hunting and feel the need to make remarks like disabling hunters with sniper rifles and cutting throats while watching them bleed to death are often the same folks who stand outside prisons with candles burning while convicted murderers are executed.

  • What can I say, I'm a vulgar, obscene, trophy collecting SOB.

  • i wish i could hunt those hunters....

Disable them with a sniper rifle, and then cut their throat, and watch them bleeding to death.

I wish death to all those hunters, and nothing more then a painfull death.

    FUCK THEM ALL!

Hopefully, i will catch a few in the woods, and stab them 55 times.

  • @PsyGecko Funny how you hate seeing an animal hurt then issue death threats. Typical liberal say one thing do another.

  • @hookitbigger What i hate is seeing an animal being hunted for sport. To just satisfy a merely retarded pleasure. It is utterly wrong and stupid. Nothing at all can justify this acts.

Now im just going a bit off topic, and speaking generaly. this world is lost. lol.

Until we (humans) can finally respect each other( stop wars) we will never respect anything that lives on our planet.

  • @PsyGecko One persons trash is another mans treasure.

  • @hookitbigger wtf does that have anything to do with what i said, and this topic?!?!?!...

Anyway, im done of this debate.

  • @PsyGecko Let me give you an example. The deer that eat my vegetables that get shot are worthless to me. To you they might be a cute creature you see in nature videos. To me they are trash but to you they are a treasure. Cant change your mind you cant change mine.

  • @hookitbigger Should be natural in people, to understand thats wrong thinking.

But when you point this: "Cant change your mind you cant change mine" , i feel both sides, i agree and disagree same time. you are right and wrong. In the end, i think both minds CAN change.

Anyway, i point it like this. you are trash to me... and any person that thinks that way, will be trash to me.

Fact is, fortunally, that your kind of people are the minority.

  • @PsyGecko You know someone has lost an argument when they start throwing out insults. Thanks for proving my point. Fact is not one person would be alive on this planet if it werent for hunting. Some of us continue to practice the ways that got all of us to this point in time. If civilization collapses you and those like you will be the first to go. God forbid that ever happens yet if it does while your starving I hope you remember this garbage you posted on youtube and starve to death.

  • @hookitbigger when i replied to your 1st comment, about my 1st comment, i did it politely. Until i realized you are just another dumb hunter. " Fact is not one person would be alive on this planet if it werent for hunting" what!? this is a completly wrong statment. and you know it. Let me make this clear again, im not against hunting, although we do it cowardly. im against hunting for sport! period. And im not a veggie just in case you wondering that, i love meat. And God doesnt exist.

  • Deepak Chopra is just some stupid self-help new ager....

I support hunting for food and controlling animal populations around areas where people live....

but killing a healthy magnificent creature such as a bear for the purpose of a rug or bragging rights, etc.... is just sick.

  • wtf is a deepak chopra?

  • Hunting any ecosystems natural predators is an oxymoron... when will humans get a grip and break away from their indoctrinations... I KILL BEARS BECAUSE MY PAPPY DID IT AND HIS PAPPY DID IT and so on and so forth. the story of the grey wolf in america is a great example. WAKE UP YALL!!! how about we try to eat a few more veggies than 3 3 course meals a day of bear, beef, pork, chicken... oh wait because MY PAPPY DOES IT AND HIS PAPPY DID IT. in the words of T Mckenna - culture is not yo friend..

  • Right on the money Deepak. All these idiots have no heart. I just found out that the latest invention is to go out there and kill polar bears now. What's next? They don't kill for food, and even though with so many humans on the planet, there are not enough polar bears and grizzlies. The only comfort is that when they have killed everything that lives, we'll be hunting each other again like savages, and they'll find themselves at the end of another hunter's scope...Nice.

  • grizzly bears have no natural predators. And believe or not, they kill for sport too. There have been cases of mountain lions killing whole deer herds and only eating 1/3 of the deer they kill. I wouldn't eat a bear because they carry parasites, but harvesting a male would help the natural balance.

  • @MrColumbusbohunks Not all bears have parasites or worms. Its only in certain areas. Where I live you can kill and eat a black bear with no worries of getting sick. And they taste pretty good.

  • @hookitbigger Im sure you would taste pretty good to a black bear.

Hope someday, one of them can chew just one of your arms.

  • Deepak, geez, look at what hunters do for conservation, a hell of alot more than the groups your involved with.

  • Stick to the subject at hand you piece of shit. Hunters who are nothing more than cowards with guns are killing innocent bears for sport. If you don't see something wrong with you, you are a worthless piece of shit. How would you feel if someone hunted you for sport?

  • @CanadianCade - Please! Hunters don't do anything for conservation. Give me a break. Hunters hunt for their own thrill and pleasure, which is sick and promotes more hate, violence and indifference. What in the world would they be doing for conservation? I don't understand why our specie seems to think so highly of ourselves when so many of our actions & attitudes prove we are just arrogant. Why are we the only specie destroying the very things our lives depend on for survival? Seriously.

  • Hunters are generally very dull and uneducated. That says a lot about this stupid pastime.

  • Comment removed

  • i hope that all these people coming out against killing in general are vegan.

  • Everything that Deepak speaks about in this video is absolute true. There is no excuse for senselessly destroying another sentient being. This is the reason why death is so traumatic for most people to be a witness to. Our spirit is deeply saddened by the sight of the loss of life as the spirit enjoys being alive and relates to the death of any living thing.

    Love xx

  • Thats what we Canadians need ,another Foreigner telling us how to run our Country.you look after yours we will look after Canada

  • Shame on the BC Liberal government and the nasty trophy hunters who pull their strings. This was pushed through just weeks before the election. This will not continue!

  • What a wonderful story of a man with a big heart for our beautiful bears. I never can understand why people want to kill innocent life for to say what? I stopped the bears heart from beating so I can stuff and mount him and show off to my friend how I can kill a innocent creature?

  • Great man with words to live by. Too bad the hunters just don't get it?????? It is an old mind set who's day has passed. I hope that the day soon comes when we all realize this.

  • Very well said. It makes me sick how these so called hunters think they are manly by kiding and killing a living breathing being. They aren't men in my book, but cowards.

  • Maybe if people would start trophy hunting trophy hunters this would stop. I hate these type of so-called hunters with a passion. What in the world would make you want to hang a dead animal on your wall? Ive always thought that was sick. You'd have to mentally sick to do this.

  • Gun-toting animal killers take the lives of innocents all for a damn wall ornament!

Cowardly men, stop brandishing your weapons about the forest. Guns are not an extension of your penises!

Hunters need to stop taking their 'shortcomings' as men out on animals!

  • Also with what he said... having a grizzly posted on the wall as a trophy... ugh... now, if I were to say I had my mother or father posted as a trophy on my wall, people would be horrified.... and they should be .... but.... what is the difference.... those beings were someones family, mother, father... It's wrong, wrong, wrong, no matter how they try to say it's not.

  • We need more of your kind Deepak! Thank you for speaking out. This world would be such a wonderful place with people such as he to respect all life and live within our boundaries.... live, love, laugh and never forget to respect everything and everyone else around us.

We are all here for a purpose... some may argue that fact, but everything has a purpose even in the most simple way.

  • Who the hell is this guy that I should respect his opinion? He sounds like a friggin trehugging hippie!

  • He is a leading author and very well educated man..that is probably why you have never heard of him. You should at least teach your children compassion since you seem to lack it.

  • So, let me get this straight. Because I have never heard of this well-educated person, I MUST lack education, compassion, and intelligence? I'll have you know that I am VERY educated. My intelligence is anything BUT lacking. I am compassionate towards both people and animals alike. I do not believe in so called "trophy- hunting". I also do not believe any animal should lose its life so that somebody can have a new rug, or a new head on the wall. HOWEVER, I do NOT condemn killing for meat.

  • Whats the difference if its a pelt for decoration or a flank for eating? They are both luxuries.

Listen, I know exactly where you're coming from but the bottom line is, it's exploitation, whichever way you look at it.

And also what italndiva commented was stupid and uncalled for.

  • Bullshit, killing for meat is WAY different than killing for a new rug, bud. See my new vids. I eat EVERYTHING I kill. And I mean everything with the exception of cockroaches. Go check them out.

  • Do you live in the wilderness or do you live in an actual modern society? Because if you're out there in the wilderness, (and yet somehow are commenting on youtube), then thats fine, because you have to kill animals to survive if you're living in the middle of nowhere. Mr. Chopra was talking about this practice in the modern age, and how it really has no place in a modern society.

  • @iEatDeadDeer i kill everything i eat. people arent seeming to step out that category, lets say the human version of veel.
