We had Swiss mountain dog, I kid you not, he lived to be 15 years old, Im looking for another, I had no idea of his breed the entire time I owned him, I have learned more about this breed doing research on the net after he recently passed. I always thought he was just a weird large mutt, but he fits Swissy in every aspect. He was a great companion dog, I miss him sorely, Im glad I took lots of pictures, I will have to compile them and post them on U-tube, Thanks for sharing, Wayne @Mojave CA
@gts5001 I have never known a dog owner that acted like that, a dog is a part of my family. It is loyal to me and it respects me as its pack leader. I will always try to please, because it does the same for me.
I wish I could have a dog. I volunteer at the Animal Shelter and there is a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog there... he has 8 more months to live and he is very healthy...and me and him are very close. Wish I could keep him.
lol, I have a swissy and he is VERY protective. When he sees someone that seems dangerous to him, he starts to bark and growl. He is so cute :] His name is Behr. not Bear- Behr. lol
i´m 15 years old and have had a bernese mountain dog for 14 years and now he has died...
we´re going to get a greater swiss mountain dog like you have in december...i can´t wait any longer to get him^^ swiss mountain dogs are really the best dogs.. we were 3 kids and have a big house and a big house with a bakery and he always protected us from housebreakers...
This is supposed to be about the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog and yet we have to look at and listen to this Women telling us about her DOG.
