  • Liner is not really very Marilyn. Hers seemed to be more of a very fine flick

  • There is something really painful about this dude. Good tutorials but lose the baggy, 80s grey suit man.. It's not working for you

  • @wearetitus

I was thinking the same thing

  • she looks like anna nicole smith in my opinion.

  • you guys chill lol the description said "makeup tutorial INSPIRED by Marilyn Monroe"... not exactly her look lol I do have to agree Lisa's was amazing :D

  • I have a question... many of my clients arent experienced with eye make up at all, and often they blink uncontrollably. I try to help them to relax but im not sure what else to do. any suggestions?

  • the model's makeup doesn't look like Monroe's....at all...

  • Is it just me, or are the MUA's in these MUD videos incredibly akward in front of the camera? It's really distracting!

  • Why is he wearing a suit?

  • Can somebody tell me of the mud cake eyeliners stay on all day without smudging or fading?

  • The end result looks really good. Nice work, Sean!

  • The music is ridiculously annoying

  • i love mud artist.bt im little disappointed wit this tutorial.i feel lisa eldridge 's video on marilyn's look is the best v hve on net.

  • @canceriansona Yes indeed...

  • The lips are all wrong for Marilyn.... D: I'd say it's more of a 50's look than a Marilyn look.

  • really exciting. LOVE your technique!

  • It's an inspired look. Not an exact copy of her look. You people should read the description.

I totally with Sean would come and do my makeup!

  • For those who might be wondering...The liner accent ..was only done for photography purposes..This way when her eyes were down cast..u saw that..they had casted a shadow......It showed more on camera back then...

  • @MercedesGames are you suggesting that this look is based on her every day look, then? Cuz that's not the case either...;-)

  • @LisaFreemontStreet No....Marilyn didn't wear makeup every day.I'm suggesting that the liner accents..white and black..under the eye area..were for photography camera purposes..Black and White..

  • @MercedesGames Exactly. My point is that the makeup artist here is obviously creating a look inspired by the cinematic and photographic look of Marilyn (thus the large full eyelashes and overdrawn mouth) and yet, those very important elements were left out. She also wore these in color photographs of the 1950's. I love Sean's work and am not contesting his abilities...merely that for it to be a true Marilyn look, those features are important, I feel.

  • @LisaFreemontStreet ..ya..I gather some of you might feel that..I personally don't...It's not very wearable..Sometimes, I like to see an inspired look too..

There are quiet a few pictures of Marylin done in technicolor..

I wasn't contesting his abilities either..or your knowledge of *Marilyn Makeup* In fact..I wasn't even responding to you..I was merely stating something in the comments..

  • @MercedesGames I think Marilyn's actual look is easily as wearable as this one. You were responding to the comments on this board; mine was one of them. I am doing the same. It's fine to love this look and I agree that Sean is a great makeup artist. But as a Marilyn look, it isnt altogether convincing, imo.

  • It's a beautiful look but not exactly a Marilyn look, right? 50's and 'Marilyn' are quite different. Without her signature white liner accents, half lashes, and orangey red lips-it isnt really Marilyn. But it's lovely regardless...:)

  • @LisaFreemontStreet Agree ! :)

  • This is such a beautiful look, thanks so much for sharing it!! :)
