This footage is from the January 1983 "Enz of an Era" concert the group perfomed in His Majesty's Theatre (NZ). I know this thanks to having read Mike Chunn's book "Stranger Than Fiction" (MUST read for all Enz fans).
d'ya see manzanera yuking it up during rehearsals? chunn was more a leader than others. very much 2 split enz until finns and rayner took over for good. charming visual band. truly missed by me.
when are we going to see a Original line up reunion tour? with Phil Judd of course ! love to see "stranger than fiction" followed by "time for a change" and "spellbound" as a encore.
I love Split Enz, i used to be in their fan club and they sent me updates thru the mail....i really appreciated it at that time..:D youtube is awsome for capturing these moments too..... love it!
Phil Judd was SOOO CUTE:real "eye candy"! I'd previously only seen this footage as part of the video for "Poor Boy". THANKS so much for posting this!!!
Incorrectly titled.... the first 10 years of the Enz? - what bollix... there's not one mention of monster genius - Phil Judd! 'Something politically incorrect about this interview!
Tim Finn is handsome and a bit of pure sex;)

The song at 5.49 is a cover of fellow kiwis the La De Das hit 'On Top Of The World' which is actually a John Mayall original

But why didn't they release "Amy" as a single?
I reckong that would have been a great A-side, perhaps backed by Maybe.

I AGREE 100%!
And it would have been lovely to have seen Wally included here too!
I still think that Wally was the BEST guitarist they ever had.

Starting at 6:03, watch for "Second Thoughts" producer Phil Manzanera standing behind Tim.
