I'm trying to get ePSXe 1.7 to work. I'd like to PM but don't know how here, mine is whtknight2602 Yahoo. I need some configs that work all I get is a black screen with a contoller icon in the upper right hand corner.
with epsxe 1.7 you can not play the CD2, you need play on 1.6... but 1.6 play bad song files, psx for the win xd psxfin is a bit ugly but run FF7 very well
What site did you get your FF7 from, I dl'd it but during battles my bottom half is the screen is blank so i cant choose what attacks to use. Any help would be great
Sephiroth has more than one form. I'm not sure if there are any at the start or middle of the game, I can't remember, but at the end there are 3 forms of Sephiroth.
I stand corrected. After all these years i completely forgot about Bizarro sephiroth... I am even ashamed to admit i had to look up a video to remind me even after you stated it.
People may want a remake, but deep down we all know that it won't live up too the actual PS1 game: Square would add voice actors in: Advent Children Kinda ruined the fantasy of the voices, being able to make it up in your head.(don't get me wrong GOOD MOVIE) i remember pronouncing Chocobo as CHIC-O-BO instead of CHOCK-OH-BO; I'm all for a remake, but i don't see them doing it: i can't see them going to all that effort to get criticized because it won't live up to the PS1 title.
I remember being overwhelmed by how cutting edge this game was when it first came out. Obviously it's still one of the best games ever made, but it sure looks dated by today's standards!
I played this game in 2009 and it became my favourite game ever. Really shows how great it is, that is why I want a remake, it feels like I missed out.

@brendude95 you are persistent to make a false point here, ask ANYONE who has beat BOTH 7 and 13 and listen to what they tell you, the biggest problem with 13 was how LINEAR the gameplay was, it was nothing but a straight line throughout more than half of the game, you had to literally be on disc 3 of the xbox 360 (ps3 has like 1 disc) 13 seemed like everyone was crying all the time about something and it really got annoying, hopefully 13-2 fixed many of the flaws the developer said they would.

Yes I have, I don't understand what happened with you, I thought Final Fantasy XIII had one of the best stories of any videogame I have ever played. Final Fantasy VII was a good game but the story was awful. FFX has a nice story though.

Well, this was recorded before I rebooted my PC with Windows 7 and since then I have changed the ePSXe version and all the plugins. My new set seem to work okay with all the games, so any problems seem to be just trial and error with new version and plugins. My sounds plugin at the moment is the basic ePSXe SPU 1.5.2. No configuration needed.

Haha a laptop >_>...kid...if your going to troll around Youtube bragging about your insignificant laptop you can do it elsewhere. Mine is running at full speed here and is graphically maxed out, it might have taken a hit because of FRAPS and the video compression doesn't help either, but you wouldn't understand that.
Either way good for you, now show me how your "oh so amazing" laptop which you adore handles Crysis on Very High. I doubt mommy will by you an Alienware laptop =).

i fixed the problem you need daemon tools P.E.Op.S cd-rom plugin
you need to mount it as a cd rom with daemon tools then set up the plugin so it can read it dont bother asking why it works it just dous and also majic disk dusint work only daemon tools found this fix with google so none of the cradit go's to me

So mine runs like this too, but for some reason, whenever I enter the battles, I don't get the encounter effect where the screen spins. Am I setting something wrong? What plug-in is everyone using?

well firstly i recommend you update to the latest ePSXe...then change the CD/ISO plugin and also change the graphics plugin (preferably to openGL2) if the problem is still there i cant really recommend anything else other than try another game region
Yes that's what I use to. I'm using the Cartoon Shaders C: Cartoon Shaders I on the 3 "Medium" setting. I'm playing with it a lot and the game looks really good right now. I can't quite get the text to pop out as much as I'd like, but it's starting to look very cel shaded.
What's your problem with the shaders? My aim is CrashPassionLove if you want to IM me there. Perhaps I can help.
where did you download this? I tried it at romhustler and each disc had 12 parts. I tried to run them as iso after i extracted them, then i burned the files to disc and nothing. Do you think you might be able to help me out?

I think you mean Safer Sephiroth, and yes he did have a normal human form, as you do technically fight him I would count it as a battle.
You are forgetting that before Safer Sephiroth there was Bizarro Sephiroth.

And the voice actors they use at the moment are fine, I haven't seen Advent Children but I heard that has great voice acting too.

They aren't really parts, all of the numbered Final Fantasy games are separate games.
And the answer to your question, it looked like a bag of shit, came out in the early 80's on the NES xD.

I use that plugin and if it is incompatible with any game i use Pete's OpenGL2 2.9 driver...
When it comes to settings just max everything as far as it can go...apart from compatibility...you want compatability to be like this >
Offscreen drawing - 1
Framebuffer effects - 3
Framebuffer uploads - 1
If there is anything wrong just switch and tweak things around

What resolution were you using here? my graphics look great with OpenGL2 but the txt seems abit pixelated, can you make the txt look nicer?

i need help brendude, i cant get the swirls at the begining of the batle, also while in the battle, the battle menu dosent show, its just black where it would be, what do i do??? please help thx

well firstly i recommend you update to the latest ePSXe...then change the CD/ISO plugin and also change the graphics plugin (preferably to openGL2) if the problem is still there i cant really recommend anything else other than try another game region

I had that problem on my PSP and it was down the the CD read speed so im guessing CD/ISO plugin

Yes that's what I use to. I'm using the Cartoon Shaders C: Cartoon Shaders I on the 3 "Medium" setting. I'm playing with it a lot and the game looks really good right now. I can't quite get the text to pop out as much as I'd like, but it's starting to look very cel shaded.
What's your problem with the shaders? My aim is CrashPassionLove if you want to IM me there. Perhaps I can help.

where did you download this? I tried it at romhustler and each disc had 12 parts. I tried to run them as iso after i extracted them, then i burned the files to disc and nothing. Do you think you might be able to help me out?
