  • i dont get why people feel then need to compare masterpiece to masterpiece. it really pisses me off.

  • @stinkfist93420 Well it don't matter. Rishloo is no longer. Andrew has left the band and the three remaining members are now going to start a new band.

  • @rockmusictilldeath gheyyy. wonder what andrew is gonna do.

  • Phenomenal band!!

  • This is excellent. I know a lot of people compare Rishloo to Tool but this song definitely reminds me of Mars Volta.

  • PLEASE CHECK OUT "KARNIVOOL" IF YOU LIKE THESE GUYS! They're also great.

  • this is the first time i have ever heard of this band. wtf. i came early and often.

  • There music is pretty cool, but we saw these guys in OR last year and the Lead Singer gave my girl herpes. Feels Bad Man.

  • sexy sexy song...

  • are "imprelious" and "telusion" real words? i've never heard those before i can't find them in any dictionary website.

  • Asombroso

  • brilliant

  • What the hell!!!!!!!!!!! This song blows my mind! Its soooooo gooooooooooooddddd! It pulls on you sooo hard. Tool/Rishloo are both awesome, quit being so narrow minded and shallow.

  • I love Tool

    I love Rishloo

Must the two be compared? Love them for what they are individually.

  • just found these guys a few days ago, and holy shit, been listening to them nonstop. not like other bands that i find and get bored of em after a few days. these guys are actually legit good!

  • Like TOOL is unique, also Rishloo is unique!

Tool is Tool and Rishloo is Rishloo.

    Is Simple!

what is not simple is the incredible art they create

And we should value them for their work.

    :)

  • This sounsd like tool, the guitar part its like Tool, bla bla bla, stop bitching like that, i think Rishloo doesnt sound like Tool, it remind it you Tool a lot, that demosntrate Rishloo have a great influence from Tool, but they are not like Tool. Btw, Rishloo is great, period.

  • I absolutely love this song's first 1 minute :D

  • @TheInbornMechanics How? Explain

  • reminds me of dream theatre and tool

  • @TheInbornMechanics ;D No such thing. I believe that Maynard and Andrew compliment eachother, in a way... They're both amazing story-tellers, with great minds. We need more artists like this. What I'd love, is to see this rock style, with a female lead.

  • This style of vocal and the mix of progressive sounds, soundscapes and arrangement I love.

At times it sounds very edgy, modern and contemporary and other times it reminds me of Kingdom Come singer Lenny wolf.

Kingdom Come biggish in late 80's look them up and you will definitely hear a vocal style same as Rishloo. Some songs like this do have a Led Zep homage feel as did Kingdom Come. Not a bad reference point though!

always liked KC though in the 80'svery unfashionable at time!

  • holy shit... never heard of this band till today, and holy shit... hell yeah this sound is awesome....

  • RISHLOO!!! i want them touring in europe!!! they dont understand ur fighting for ground control

  • wow!!!! *_* ....in italia a suonare?

  • its kinda like fair to midland and tool put together

  • first time hearing this song and its just amazing...

  • just awsome

  • These guys are fucking sweeet!!! Check out another New band coming out. "KHAi" - their on my page if you want to see some new music enjoy.

  • I have seen these guys live many times now as they live in the same city as me. I can tell you personally that they are nothing like Tool. These guys will knock your fucking socks off!

  • Everyone is paying attention to the vocals but did anyone else notice that the vocals have a COMPLETELY different melody than the guitar the whole song?

  • @kyletheenigma yes but the fact that it blends to make a beautiful song is just amazing

  • @kyletheenigma I did! Thats what made me think this song is so great. I love when guitars and vocals are able to do different melodies=)

  • Any other people than me from Norway, that listens to this band? Would have been cool to know=)

  • @thosava I'm from Norway aswell, just discovered the band today, and I'm loving it!

  • @SaradominSickness Cool=) I just randomely came back to this video and found your reply=P Where in norway are you from?

  • @thosava Wow, this is quite funny, I just randomly came back to this video and found your reply now! I'm SaradominSickness, I just made a new account. Anyway, I live in a small town close to Asker outside of Oslo. What about yourself?

  • @InPillForm15 I live quite north in oslo. In Nordre-Aker. I dont want to specify that even more=P I havent met anyone yet from norway that also likes this band!

  • @thosava I see, that's fine. Neither have I, but I have made quite a few of my friends listen to them; they all liked it! I also showed Rishloo to my sister, who showed it to some of her friends, and so on. So we're not alone!

  • @InPillForm15 Thats so good to hear! Hopefully in a few years they will be able to travel around the word, having concerts! Would have been cool to see them famous, and honest say i started liking them before they were=)

  • @thosava Yeah, I feel just the same way! You might want to check out Future Fossils and Just Like Vinyl as well, they're both indie bands from the same area as Rishloo. The vocalist of Future Fossils also appeared on "Turning Sheep Into Goats" by Rishloo.

  • @InPillForm15 Cool i might check it out soon=) How long have you been listening to Rishloo? I think i have for about a year. Not that much yet=P

  • @thosava I have only listened to Rishloo since 1th July 2011, but I know every song they've released by heart! I have bought all three of their CDs on their homepage, along with a hoodie and a t-shirt.

  • @InPillForm15 Oh cool! I havent bought any of their cd's yet, and i still havent heard all their songs accually. I like to explore bands a bit more slowly. I am planning to order the cd's soon though. The cd i yet havent heard is their first one, Terras Fames. The other two i have heard=)

  • @thosava I see. My favorite tracks from the fist album are Lovely Room, Narcissist Code and Illumination. You should also check out the live version of Alchemy Alice from the second album, by the way. Epic!

  • I'm new to this Rishloo world, but if I may interject; I think they have a COMPLETELY different sound compared to Tool, but that's just me. I can see an influence in the style, but not the music itself; if that makes any sense.

  • The high pitch reminds me of The Mars Volta but the way he changes his tone is amazing.

  • You are tone-deaf if you don't compare these vocals to Maynard. Sorry reality is so hard for you guys to take.

  • wow amazing!

  • Verryy farooutttttt.......I'm feeling Rishloo....

  • This is my next favorite band to Tool now. Awesome awesome stuff!

  • Has any one put the two bands "The Mars Volta" or "Tool" together as a group? This has to be one of the greatest assemblies of musicians I have heard thus far, Progressive masterpieces!!!

  • It would be much appreciated if someone could tab this please.

  • the vocalist has seven lungs! o.O amazing band!

  • Feathergun In The Garden Of The Sun sounds almost exactly like tool

  • Maynard and Andrew are both the shit. If they had a kid...

  • @GibsonF1 It could be Fair to Midland

  • Lol the lyrics mean absolutely nothing.

  • @Chr0maticAttack lyrics can make or a break a song!!!!!

  • @bugmusk6 I literally meant that the lyrics meant nothing...like they have no inner meaning, it's total nonsense. I love writing and hearing lyrics to songs.

  • @Chr0maticAttack oh lol.....Yeah they have said that a lot of their lyrics are image driven and meant to paint a picture.... My favorite kind of lyrics!!!!!!!

  • I think alot of people are comparing this to tool on the account of it recently being added as a "similar artists" on lastfm dot com. It's how I found them... and thank fuck i did.

  • @charlieapeshit SAME. lol

  • To some of the arguing peoples, music is colorful if you are a synaesthetic or comfortable with color theory. I have seen color in music forever. This is colorful. Carry on.

  • u gotta say the guitar at 1:00 sounds like 10,000days pt2 by tool

  • I'd say this is a Blind Melon version of The Mars Volta with some cheesy sidesteps to Supertramp.

Compare this to tool? That's nuts. Too much honour too.

  • AMAZING!

  • Rest assured, Maynard doesn't need anyone to ride his cock. I'm sure he's content with things as is. If anything sounds remarkably like Tool, it would be early Chevelle.

    See here: /watch?v=NiIMqSqabGs

  • dude has a nice voice but you cannot compare to Maynard, sorry.

  • @kingace420 You're right, this is leagues better than Maynard's.

    ;)

  • i saw these guys live in houston at the jet lounge cos my band played along with them at this gig they were one of the early acts who were touring and we had no idea who these guys were but holy shit they blew me and my girlfriend away they were fuckin good i was jealous as shit.

  • These guys are amazing. Thanks for creating something beautiful.

  • lmao @ rishloo fanboys whining about the tool comparisons, the band should be honoured considering how incredibly derivative they are.

  • @Aardvarked88 lmao you are a fucking moron!!! this album sounds nothing like tool!!!

  • @bugmusk6 Clearly you're trying too hard to defend the band, the similarities are completely undeniable.

  • @Aardvarked88 Clearly you are an idiot. Rishloo is way more colorful than Tool dan Maynard's head would explode if he tried to hit these notes that Andrew is whacking out effortlessly!!!!

  • @bugmusk6 Anyone who uses "colorful" to describe music is clearly a pretentious idiot who cannot be reasoned with. If you don't hear the ridiculously obvious similarities between this and Tool there's not really much else to add.

"BUT ANDREW IS HITTIN HIGHER NOTES LOLZZZ" - Yes, that's definitely any possible similarities excluded then. Pretty sure the band have acknowledged the influence Tool have had on them, only seems to be butthurt fanboys that are oblivious to that fact.

  • @Aardvarked88 Had is the key word!!! You ignorant fuck!!! I was talking about this album and I don't think it sounds anything like Tool. You are way too busy being a Tool fangirl to appreciate what these guys have created. I realize now that you have a room temperature i.q. or lower and will never get it!!!

  • @bugmusk6 I'm not even a huge Tool fan, just pointing out the obvious similarities that you and every other bitter idiot is desperate to dismiss.

  • This is amazing

  • DIS IS DA SHIT

  • personally i think andrew has a better range vocally and i prefer his singing to maynard (james is still a genius in my book). however tool is more structurally sound when it comes to the music in itself. either way theyre both great and as close to god as you can get :]

  • Floyd <3

  • I think these guys up till now have been trying to find their own sound, and with this latest album are the closest they have ever been to arriving at that goal. I can't wait for their next one, I expect to be blown away.

  • this song is amazing, still I concider that most of the mindblowing songs from Rishloo are in terras fames and eidolon. Great band i'd love to see how it will evolve eventually

  • sounds a bit like old dio =)

  • I disliked this just to dislike it. DEAL WITH IT ;d

  • @jalle71002 how dare you.. ~_~ JK

  • EXACTLY BUT YOU STILL GOTTA LOVE MAYNARD.. lmao dude.. maynard does NO wrong.. neither does this guy. Dont hate

  • there is nothing better than tool and deftones. not even this. hell no.

  • @philippu00 Totally agree! but its pretty kickass

  • One of the best songs I have ever heard.

  • Amazing!!! :o...

  • They need more drums in their songs....

  • I have to listen to these guys at least once a day. Even more if I'm in the mood and I have my mp3 on me.

Which reminds me, I need this entire album. River of Glass, though an amazing song to listen to, just isn't cutting it anymore. :C And Freaks and Animals and Zdzislaw are awesome, but I want more. This song needs to find a place in my music library. This entire album needs to find its way to my library.

  • I only have two words to say about this song---HELL YEAH!

  • Just discovered, great band. Puts the rock back in prog rock.

  • WHETHER IT IS KORN TOOL A PERFECT CIRCLE THE MAYAN FACTOR CIRE PUSCIFER DEFTONES NINE INCH NAILS FLOYDD OR ETC, they are alllllll very lyrically majestic. AND are what makes music SO ORGANICALLY ADDICTING! they put art into words

  • are you effin' kidding me??? no one is THIS good!!! this must be a dream!

  • I've discovered a great new band for myself

  • @YorkGod As have I :)

  • this songs should have billions of views!

  • this reminds me more of Karnivool than Tool. I honestly don't know why people think this sounds like Tool. I don't hear it.

  • but also very distinct and original.

  • @zephyrds Because people don't know who karnivool is..

  • @zephyrds I do. Rishloo, Karnivool's "Sound Awake", and Tool are very similar ie. Vocal timing and odd time signatures are all evident. Have a concert of Rishloo, THe MArs Volta, Karnivool and Tool and I could die happy.

  • @zephyrds because the kids these days think that tool is the only 'progressive' band around. they practically think that keenan invented the whole genre.

  • @Xenobiarch i myself am a huge fan of tool. basically obsessed.

the only reason being its so hard to find a sound i like. a sound like this and the sound of tool.

i discovered this like 30mins ago and i already love it :D

  • @pmona6 yes yes, tool is very good I can't deny that, 10,000 days, well one of the best albums ever. but keenan is not a god, nor is he the one who invented progrock/metal. you should check out bands like Pineapple Thief, Porcupine Tree, The Mayan Factor, Pure Reason Revolution, The Mars Volta, Riverside, Fair To Midland, VAST. for starters.I believe there's at least 1 or 2 in there you'll probably enjoy if you like tool that much, lyrically very witty bands all of them.

  • @Xenobiarch thanks. ill have a look at those

  • amazing song from an amazing band progressive is slowly becoming my favorite genre

  • In case anyone here knocks on the production value of Rishloo's songs - remember - they are totally independent. That means they don't have multi-million dollar engineers and equipment to fine tune the sound. That being said, I think it sounds incredible for what it is.

  • Why is everyone comparing these guys to Tool? I find it disrespectful to both groups.

  • These guys have more in common with floyd, deftones, and dredg than tool. Plus Andrew has a MUCH, MUCH bigger range than Maynard.. I'm sick of the comparisons

  • @Maniac093 Definitely a good point on Maynard's voice range.

  • @Maniac093 I wouldn't say he has more range than Maynard does, This guy has a higher voice and Maynard's voice is very deep as you can hear in songs like "Let's Have a War" or "Queen B." so the highest stuff he covers would be just as high for him as this guy's highest singing. That being said, there is only a trace that this band USED TO be influenced by Tool, lots of bands start off sounding more like another then distance themselves over time, Like these guys have.

  • @Spydrfish Or if you mean Range of voices all you'd need to do is listen to all the different bands he's been in, He is a very Varied singer..... Oh and by the way I'm a big Rishloo fan.

  • @Spydrfish Drew's range is way bigger than Marnard's. Maynard would tell you the same it's very obvious. lol

  • @Maniac093 ha nice you know who dredg is.. do you also listen to 10 years?

  • @bugmusk6

Yes I do. Their new album was disappointing.

  • @Maniac093 Me personally I'm listening to this song for the first time and they honestly sound more like Tool more vocally and melodically the drums are nowhere near like Tool... This band seems more like a combination of A Perfect Circle and Tool and I guess a little bit of the down tempo songs by Mars Volta

  • @Maniac093 he may have more range but any newcomers to tool and rishloo prolly couldnt tell the difference, there pitch is similar there riffs are similar comparing them to deftones is just idiotic, u should be sick of yourself for comparing this to deftones shame on you

  • @Maniac093 But you still gotta love Maybard

  • @Maniac093 But you still gotta love Maynard

  • @TeddyBearIsRed

Yes, Maynard is great. But he has a different vocal style than Andrew. Maynard goes for the dark, subtle textures in his music. Andrew uses BIG, long wails. He uses his range constantly. Andrew has more of a vibrant and colorful voice, so-to-speak.

  • @Maniac093 i totally agree with this. but i love both Tool and Rishloo and their the kind of bands that are both very good in basically every song and album.

  • @Maniac093 Dude, these guys sound just like Tool!...jk

  • Comment removed

  • @Maniac093

(Dredg + Pink Floyd) * Tool / Deftones = Rishloo

  • @Maniac093 Check out fair to midland thats who they sound like the most.

  • @JwallRockCity7007

I know Fair to Midland am not personally a fan.

  • @Maniac093 Not everyone is but out of the list of bands you listed, they sound closer to fair to midland. At first I wasnt 100% sure about fair to midland myself but after listening to more than just one song I found out they rock but everyone has their own taste in music, these guys sound like a mellow version of FTM.

  • @JwallRockCity7007

I'd really just like to not use comparisons anymore. It really is meaningless at this point.

  • @JwallRockCity7007 idk...maybe Carbon Copy Silver Lining...but I'm not seeing similarities with Fables from a Mayfly or Inter.funda.stifle...

  • @nickguitarfreak17 I think their last album Eidolon had a more FTM feel to it, especially in the vocals, he does more falsetto singing and throat-type singing like Darroh, the instruments are similar to Tool. I actually thought Eidolon was better than this album, kind of disappointed a little, thought it was too slow paced and had less of a "feel" to it, but theres some really good songs. If they could hitch a tour with a good notable band like ftm bet they would get on a label.

  • @Maniac093 Your really going to compare rishloo to deftones? :s

  • @HammerFud

Obviously they don't sound just like Deftones, but you can't deny that they draw influences from them.

  • amazing song !

  • i dont see how these guys sounds like tool.... if you really think a singer that hits the same notes as maynard in singing then you need to listen to more music. Seriously i hear much more of other bands tool in these guys.

  • i thought no other could come close to tools sound. these guys do and thyre wicked good but none top tool.

  • and yes they do sound a lot like tool, but definetly make their own sound

  • these guys are toooo good, cant believe i have just found out about them

  • can anybody send me a link to who did the album art to this?

  • @Kahunaman22 I am pretty sure the guys in Rishloo did the album art.

  • they are so genius, but will never top Tool.

  • Sounds like Tool and The Mars Volta mixed. The break is very Volta-ish.

  • @qwertyasdf0123 I think you're too correct. What a spot on comparison.

  • tool brought me here

  • Why or how does this only have 23,000 views? Seriously and yet lady gaga has millions??? Geez...........

  • @elektrykbestia You are everything I hate.

  • @DHazlehurst uhhhh why

  • @elektrykbestia Because if good music got the attention of radio music then we'd all be pissed that every idiot with a set of ears would be thinking they "knew" good music. That's why. The debate has been settled. This is for the best. I WANT the music I love to stay unpopular.

  • @MyEggIsBoiled Everyone has their own opinion i guess although I can see your point. I was just making a judgemental opinion about the fact that there are so many fewer listeners that appreciate what truely good music is. Personally, I know that in todays time you have to search for music, in order to find truely good artistic compositions. That's how I found out about bands like Riverside, Indektivbyran, Indukti, Rishloo, Czeslaw Spiewa and many others...

  • ¡Qué rolota!

  • @i1045 amen!

  • When is this from? It sounds very 2000-ish. I like the progressive feel though.

  • @magtownrep It's from late 2009

  • i only heard this band yesterday..

    i have new obsession.

  • Chevelle + tool = Rishloo

  • @s13guypr87 More like Tool + Ashes Divide.

  • The lyrics are great, sort of a stream of consciousness thing... Ready Aim Fire!!! Really give the imagination something to play with... fantastic!! Long Live Rishloo...

    Great Band!!

  • Not far removed from Tool but at times, their music sounds a little underdeveloped. More time and more maturity, I high hopes for the band.
