  • Love this song. The beginning reminds me a little of Bette Davis Eyes - Kim Carnes

  • Blur, Oasis, Pulp, Ocean Color Scene, etc - none of them were as good as the Manics. Cast were about the closest

  • I LOVE LOVE AND LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @pumpkins667 ... yes, i see the simularity :)

  • Saw these guys in concert in Melbourne (aus) last month... One of the best live acts ever!

  • This song is brilliant....he does look a bit like Andy Serkis in character though.

  • @yaisum ..... i see the likeness m8, lol

  • The Manics still rules and their new song is another pearl of good music that's always underestimated and it's a shame this band got no bigger attention paid :-(

  • @nicoruetters They should have been as big as Oasis and Blur, they're clearly better, and I don't say that lightly.

  • @TheSweetMandJ ... i think the fact they are welsh has something to do with it

  • Comeback single? They never stopped making music!

  • @Klaasdebus

that's darn right! Whoever told about a comeback missed the bygone years

  • @nicoruetters no one told me i know.

  • @Klaasdebus .... well they did, before this track they done nothing for over 2 years. get your facts right.

  • One of the most underestimated bands, though they always produced wonderful songs !

P.S. keji1 Thanx for the HD version !

  • @Pracer7 ... :) no problem, and your dead right.

  • @oleostrut yeah, big time :)

  • Brilliant song! 1:46 sounds like he says "feel some tender nuts" lol

  • @gbyrne92 ... lol yeah it does, never noticed that before :)

  • @gbyrne92 LOL !! Too funny... :-D

  • @gbyrne92 that's a song ruiner like. "come on, homegirl" in magic man. hahahaha

  • I love this song!!!! My favourite genres are hip hop and electronica, but I heard this song for the first time when I was watching them play the UK Top 40 on Viva, and I've been listening to it non-stop for weeks!

And then I realized this is the same group that did the song called "The Masses Against the Classes" which me and my friends all loved when we were in Junior school. :D And it also reminds me of Stomp by Steps which was popular around the same time, and I also loved!

  • 4 stupid peoples?

  • or should I say "jingle"

  • Is it me or does it sound like they've sampled a bit of Steve Wright's BBC Radio 2 show ?

  • @ChorleyClaret1981 ...... couldnt say, dont listen to radio 2

  • wow , this makes me happy ! people think this is crap should grow up ! this is so much about love for music, remembering the best of 80's 90 's and the classic writers.

I hear mr B Adams in this, Yes, Journey, Led Zeppelin. WOW !

  • @twotails1967 ........ good point m8 :)

  • @emotobot lol clearly a cunt!

  • @emotobot ........... the album is a classic, sorry but i dont think you know what your talking about

  • class song....better than all the usual crap in the charts...talent comes together it cant be manurfactured an prefabricated like the x factor and such like shite...long live the manics.......

  • one day all these stupid kids will wake up and and find out about the manics and what they are missing, then want to shoot simon cowell for his x factor drivel !!!!!!!

  • LOVE IT :D :D :D :D :D

  • i herd this song on official rock chart on MTV rocks xD last time it was second =)

  • i hate most rock but this is catchy i heard it on match of the day

  • みんないいオッサンやな

  • I agree, plus the charts are now clogged up with stuff because of tv shows like glee n x factor.

  • The opening sounds like an Cover from german rock Band "Puhdys"

  • its a good song but the thing is you can never match the likes of led Zeppelin with rock :)

  • @carefreeforcfc .... cant compare zep with manics, different type of rock.

  • Fantastic new single, shame it got no higher than 28 on the UK charts

  • @MrKingofthe80s i know, dont it make you sick ? crap goes in and reaches no1 and a decent song comes out and it cant get even in the top 10

  • the masses against the classess or howeever its spelt is equally as good as this check it out keji 1 goood job guys gonna buy album next week computer music is still tin can music that helpps nobody in the end vinyl still fxxxin rules

  • To feel forgiveness, you gotta forgive <333

  • Swear I've heard a song just like this..

  • @DURPORT ..... one day you might understand life, people grow to love their possesions, there is no need to take the piss of someone when they say something like that, your the c*'@t m8 not him.

  • I'm sorry Manics but you are sounding a lot like Steps Stomp...

  • love the guitar in this!

  • @fauldsa . james is a great guitarist, i think he deserves more credit than he gets for his guitaring

  • The Manics Are Back!!!........And The End Of Love Happenned For me When I Lost My True Love some Years Ago............Vania...I HOPE You are Ok and Happy .....Stull Love You xxxxx

  • @Bonoerra ..... awww :(

  • It's a nice song but not as good as there older stuff :0

  • Awsome!!

  • Thank you so much for posting this song! Due to copyright laws we US Manic Maniac cannot see it! Thanks!!

  • James' voice with Nickys voice = KICKASS MUSIC.

  • This song was playing in the car dismantlers when I first layed eyes on my motorbike after it was stolen from college. I searched for that bike for weeks. I almost cried to this song when I saw it :')

  • @MrBenjamingeFTW ......... thieving bastards, soory to hear that m8, great song isn't it :)

  • @MrBenjamingeFTW ......... thieving bastards, sorry to hear that m8, great song isn't it :)

  • @keji1 It is, first time I heard it was when I got my bike back, finding my bike makes me a lucky bastard but this song overwhelmed me, I loved that bike, it was my first, I was so over joyed this song made it even harder to contain. Its became my new favourite after that.

  • oh god thanx for posting this....the powers that be have blocked youtube from showing any of the official vids of this song here in the fucking US. you're kind'a like our Manics' version of radio free europe!!!!

  • @alike5462 stop spamming on my page asshole

  • Love it ..

  • awesome track, yet again the lyrics are spot on and im sure most people can relate

  • not a massive mancs fan but this is very catchy, i like it.

  • @Kennyrobbo2007 .... good :)

  • Love this song!

  • These last three Manics albums have been very good. Much much better than Lifeblood. I actually liked Know your enemy it had a very rocky sound to it. Found that soul is really good. The album is really good. Sounds like if they did an album in between Everything must go and timttmy

  • @1234legend1234 ...... yes, i like them as well but i dont think the tracks on them were the type of tunes for the charts so they were never gonna get massive sales from them, this new album though is so much different, it's the manics back to their radio friendly best :) ..... nothing will better the first few albums though, generation terrorists, gold against the soul etc, etc.

  • @keji1 I agree there first three albums were so good. We all know how good THB was. This album if I'm honest I don't think will do well in the charts. This album would've sold well 15 years ago. Compared to today's chart music, I struggle to think it can break into the top 10.

  • seems like the manics have been 'coming back' since circa 2000.

maybe they have just always been here .....

  • @winduonline always been there but not releasing any material :) lol

  • Good song but the intro is almost identical to Fire Woman by The Cult! Check it out!

  • @RobertCorbett Nah, I checked it out, mate. They are as unlike as the moon and a bit of round cheese. Well, actually, you are, of course quite correct.

Thanks for reminding me of the Cult. Have their 1987 and 1994 albums somewhere, gathering dust/propping up a table.

The Cult was/is a great band, and Ian Astbury deserves a bit of archaeology and new respect. Great looking front man, brilliant voice, hit the rock vibe just at the right time and place.

  • @USAlikeWAR .... :) what you mean by is going to have video clip ?

  • Manic Street Preachers and Stereophonics........two of the best bands to come out of Britain, let alone Wales!

  • @nrjelley .......... i agree, i think the phonics lost their way for a bit though, after the sacking of stuart cable they seemed to change and i wasn't a great fan but over the last year or so they have done some great tunes again, must say the manics also went a bit off, with send away the tigres and journal for plaqued lovers, but i suppose with the manics those albums wasn't released for the success story they were for personal reasons and work done by ritchie edwards

  • @nrjelley yep

  • 2 words...

    Hard Core

  • back for good! Very catchy song, you got to love them, on and on............!

  • @ubiton ......... completely agree :)

  • just watched the manic's do this song on, jools holland show, later.

    its the bollocks.

  • Just seen them playing this song live on Later with Jools Holland...absolutely brilliant, great peformance ! Watch the repeat on Friday....

  • When I first heard the song title I was expecting something completely different.

But it is really good, a very catchy beat.

  • @MattMeears ..... lol i heard them announce it on the radio before playing it and i thought omg what have they done now ?? but when they played it i thought, typical manics track, great stuff :)

  • Sounds like a new theme tune for Match of The Day.

  • wow what a great song

  • @katherine500 ....... yes, manics back to their best with this :)

  • Comment removed

  • I love Nickys smile :-)

  • @leisali0203 .......... lol

  • I know for a fact that Nicky's favourite object is the humble hoover x] typical nicky.

  • James lives right around the corner from my house x] couldnt believe it when i bumped into him by the bus stop x] hopfully backstage for their next gig x]

  • @thewelshrocker101 ........ cool mate, i'm in pontypridd, 12 miles or so away :) met them once m8

  • @thewelshrocker101 nicky lives really near my house

  • @GreenDayPolice ........ i bet he's never there these days though :) lol

  • @keji1 actually I see him every now and then :)

  • The guitar riff in this is a complete rip-off of the Smashing Pumpkins song Tonight, tonght.

  • Cannot stop singing this dam song!

  • @MrJubileeday ........... it's class m8 :)

  • tbrawner91 - shut up! This is another quality Manics song with good lyrics if not a bit quirky. Ritchie James would prob turn in his grave more seeing your comments and the fact that you are still going on about him. Get with the times mate, this is the Manics 2010 without Ritchie (god bless him)! QUALITY SONG! end of.

  • @HEINEMR its boring as fuck as the rest of the album is dull support to macca fuck off

  • No matter what it sounds like, I FRIGGIN LOVE IT!

  • @MoonchildMindaugas2 ........ me to mate

  • @keji1 Alrighty :)

  • Did Nicky Wire suffer brain damage? If Richey could hear these lyrics he would be spinning in his grave.

  • @tbrawner91 lol true his lyrics are really lame

  • I'm sure they sing 'do you have chicken love' at 1:51

  • Keji...and of course the wonderful 'Girl from Tiger Bay' for Her Dameship of South Wales :)

But yeah...of course this is the natural return.

  • A great song! I'm waiting for their new album:-)

  • The strings sound exactly, and I mean exactly like 'Stomp' by Steps.

    Just saying, like.

  • @Musepwnyourass ........... simularities but not much

  • @keji1 ..... seriously man, the strings are exactly the same. The song's decent, don't get me wrong. Just pointing out the old Steps rip off.

  • @Musepwnyourass .......... i just find them simular, if they are the same we should hear soon that steps to sue the manics, but i dont think so somehow

  • @keji1 yeah... it's like Stomp by Steps. similar...

  • @Musepwnyourass it's just 3 bars out of 8, so there's not gonna be any suing

  • @theokkrieger not much the same then :)

  • @Musepwnyourass

    THANK YOU!

i could not think what it reminded me of at all

  • @Musepwnyourass Yes, but this is better than that.

  • @Musepwnyourass i knew i'd heard it somewhere before :D

  • @Musepwnyourass Damn right. I just posted before seeing you'd beat me to it. I am disappointed. I used to love them. This is awful lol

  • actually they kinda released Umbrella as an unofficial download single which put a fair dent in the charts a week or two.

Nothing like a proper juicy single released as a cd though to sink the teeth into...there's a Manic wave a coming..its not war just the end of trashy pop (for a month or two at least.)

  • @TheMoosetrap ....... forgot that one, got them a bit of the limelight but i dont think you could call that a comeback to be honest

  • not their best

  • Great song, heard it on BBC Radio 2 last night!

  • Jizz?

  • Singles don't make comebacks. Have they ever 'been away'? Not to my mind. Much more commercial than JFPL, or Your Love Alone from SATT, which was pretty commercial. Very excited about Postcards...

  • a comeback from what?

    their comeback was JFPL thanks.

    i'll pass on this.

  • @jarvizcocker ........... comeback single i said.... JFPL was an album, di they release jackie collins from that album, dont think they did, didn't do very well if they did anyway, so it's a comeback from 3 hit singles from SEND AWAY THE TIGERS...

which was released 3 years, 3 months ago. who you gonna pass this on to ????

  • @keji1 I DONT KNOW!!!! omg!!!!

  • @jarvizcocker ........ why you shouting ???

  • @keji1 They Didn't release Jackie Collins. So yes it's a comeback single not album.

  • @simoncollins1988 ....... thank tyou m8, i didn't think they did :)

  • Haha James Dean Bradfield looks so old and grumpy in some of those pics :P

  • @TheManics4 . i dont know what pics you been looking at

  • Great comeback i hope it reaches the Top 10! Well, if there was a way of getting the single to the top ahead of all the other tripe in the UK charts these days.

  • brilliant come back single your right!!!

  • @ricocheung ... thank you :)

  • @g1antrobot .... well they have hardly been on the music scene for quite some time now have they single wise, and how many single releases was from journal for plaque lovers, Jackie Collins ? saying that, i dont even think that was released as a single... before that their last single was 2007, notice i said single not album, manics albums always do well in the charts but i'm talking of a comeback single not comeback album, get it right before you start trying to be clever.
