  • Nice! I bought a kit that has this method with the paper/cloth strips and i wanted to find my own paper so i caould save money and never thought of tea bags. I am going to do this on all my nails to reinforce them, they are all very thing and brittle.

  • this has changed my nails for life, thank you =]

  • you have really pretty nails and thanks for the tip!

  • great vid i i actualy laughed when u said u used the tea bag method i thought of sommin else :) xx

  • this is sorta like silk wrapping your nails.

  • Could you please make some videos of how we can design our nails??i mean some tutorials

  • You savior!!!

  • using nail glue instead of hardener works better for me : )

  • How do you know when your nail is fixed or when you take the teabag off??? Love your videos by the way..xx

  • @missamyylouise122 If you use this method to save the nail that is splitting, the nail doesn't actually get "fixed" it sort of patches the crack and helps it so that it doesn't go further or break off a chunk of the nail. The problem won't actually go away until the split grows out and you can file that area off. IE if you don't want to cut the nail short and wish to keep it long, the teabag acts as a wrap so you can keep the length while you wait for the split to grow out. I hope that helps.

  • This worked perfectly on my nail today. My nails dont usually break, but today one did and I remembered this video. Thanks so much!

  • would you have to use a white tea bag?

  • how would you know when your finger nail is fixed

  • u just saved like all my nails i love u

  • omg!!! that is friggin GENIUSSS!!! :D thank you for re-creating this video!! btw, that blue nail polish is gorguuuuus!!! :P xox

  • umm... how do u take it off and wen?

  • That is pure genius! lol, next time i break a nail im gonna try this thanks!

  • haha tea bag method. I thought it would have something to actually do with the tea on ur nail lol. Its just a patch! u could use a thin gauze like material too. even nail silk used for acrylic nails. cute.

  • Thanks Lauren for the vid!

  • Great tip, specially for me, cause I break mine all the time because of my job..

Gonna try it next time ^^ Thanks hun!

  • WOW! love it!!

  • I do this too...except I use toilet paper haha :)

  • Can you use this method to prevent your nail from breaking in the first place?

  • @MakeMeVikki921 Of course you remove it after your polish is chipping, then you just redo it. - -''

  • Genius!

  • Dont be sorry hun, was just informing you that professional's do it salons :)

  • does it repair you nail or just hide it? xx

  • i did this method in college doing beauty but instead of tea bags we used tissue paper, as in facial tissues and it works just as well although its a little bit more tricky as the tissue is delicate so i will try the teabag and see if its easier xx

  • @vintageflipside I'm pretty sure it just hides it

  • you can also use a layer of a tissue

thats what i used to do when my nails broke a lot

and if you use nail glue its a little more secure and you can soak it off with polish remover

  • @vintageflipside it just hides it

  • OMG THANKSSS!!!!!! I LOVE YOU!! I cut my nails countless times because one split at the tip. i would just keep picking at the little split and it got bigger and then i had to cut my nails off :( this is my salvation!

  • This is just amazing!!!

  • @MakeMeVikki921 Just untill its grown back i would think

  • thank you so much...there's this expensive thingy they sell here....the chinese wrap.....and that's the exact purpose of it. This will save me alot of monney

  • Queen of Blend SENT ME!! Thanks for the tip!

  • Why not just use brush on nail glue that also helps...

  • Could I use a coffee filter instead of dumping out all my precious tea?!?!

  • @malyboobarbee That's a great idea. I wonder if they are thin enough though? If they aren't thin enough maybe you could get tea from a Dollar Tree? But you have a great idea!

  • did'nt misschevious make this up first?

  • @binkeylala30 This has been around for years!!!!!!! It's a well known tip especially in the beauty/nail industry

  • @Shadowpuppy2211 oh...sorry didnt know that..

  • My pinky nail broked a week ago and it was bleeding under the nail. It broke up and I snap it back down and I shorten it to the tip of the finger. It healed to an extent and stopped at some point. The bleeding stopped but it still hurts a little. The white area is wider then the other nails to where it stopped healing. I was wondering if it's too late to do anything about it?
