It's a commercial trying to yield compassion rather than spirit - many canadians are divided on how they feel and whether or not they should be supportive and care at all. This triggers those with apathy and indifference - There are some people here who have little to no sense of nationalism at all, it's sad really.
Agree, people need to look around and be thankful to live in a country like Canada! Because there is nothing else like it. Frankly there are just to many fucking immigrants to have any compassion for the True North Strong and Free!..... Nothing bad towards immigrants, its just not all respect the land!
Boycott the 2010 Canadian Olympics. Each year the Canadian fishing industry kills over a 1/4 million baby Harp Seals for their fur alone. 325,000 in 2007 and 275,000 in 2008. Just "youtube" "Harp Seal Slaughter" right here on Youtube and see exactly what's going on.
@XB70Playboy Actually only 300,000 die each season. Secondly 1.4 million are born each year. If you cannot do the math, which you probaly cant, 1.4 million is way more than 300,00. Therefore, the PETAs comments about the harp seal being an endangered specieis, is bull. Also seals are not killed for just their fur. We use their meat, their fat, bones, skin and fur. You can only get it in some parts of Canada and the majority of the people who seal hunt are Inuits, who need the seals.
I like Air Canada but sincerely I dont get why people in this ad have to look so depressed, and sincerely, the first time I saw it and heard "this isn't just another flight" (!!!) wow! This to me means like, ok, we have the Olympians on board and we are going to be nice on this flight, but to the rest of paying pax on other flights, who cares?!? At least I love the fact that we can see plane interiors and exteriors!
LOL. Good to know that for this employee, the rest of us on Olympians will be flying on "just another flight". I guess that means that Air Canada employees can return to their usual surly standard of service. Typically clueless Air Canada ad.
In typical Air Canada fashion the ads are gloomy with depressing music to accompany them. The ads portray a truly arrogant brand. The employees on the ad and in a typcial day in the job look unhappy and completely uninspired. Could the employees in the ad not have at least looked happy for 30 seconds? AC should have focused on the athletes and the paying customers in the ads. An advertising flop!

Mkay. I'm an American who has lived in Canada for a while. I love Canada, it's America with a lower drinking age and a Queen.
However, this ad is so depressing it makes me want to go off into a corner and blow my brains out, let alone cease any consideration of immigration.
