Every student who has a gun could protect themselves!

i have heard interviews with tech students who did say that they would have benefited from carrying firearms on campus that day.

there is some validity to the argument, but only a minority of students would actually carry them--many of them not emotionally or mentally mature enough to bear the associated responsibility. people don't carry guns unless they are willing to use them, which could lead to a myriad of dangerous situations.

i am a virginia tech alum class of '00.
