  • Oh yeah... Smashing pumpkins... Siva ... When they were still a long haired garage band :D I <3 them

  • so very 90's! I really liked this album.

  • Siva actually means grey in the Yugoslavian languages Oo

  • La La!

  • Jack White?!

  • You misspelled 'lose'. Unless he spelled it like his head came loose. Which I doubt.

  • @PrinceRufus2 Oh my god, Prince Rufus?

did you go to my high school?

    Tucker High School in Atlanta?

there was this guy there that always used that username for stuff including our computer apps stock project

  • @raehyetu Sorry, I'm from Massassachusettes.

  • @PrinceRufus2 Chafachusets??? xD

  • Very very good music. "i dont live...i inhale..."

"tell me tell me what ur after ,,,i just wanna get there faster ..."

Only who been there knows lol..

  • @iLuminaughtyz how do I get there? i get what you mean... i want to go... gotta get myself to run faster.

  • First video I saw by the Pumpkins. I was tripping balls. Back in ninety.......whatever thats all.

  • as much as love grungy alternitive bands like nirvana and such, i do find it refreshing when a band can actually do some sweet clean solos....cool song!!

  • I hear Janes Addiction in this.

  • @EyEqUbE1 - interesting story - when JA were touring RDLH, the Pumpkins got an opening slot for them, making Billy Corgan one of Chicago's most hated men in music. Well, on the road to being............

Its got the same Bonham stomp as Janes, and the huge solos too. Just one side of the Pumpkins.

  • @Hahnmaier i appreciate you taking the time to comment

  • @EyEqUbE1 Jane's Addiction is one of Corgan's biggest influences.

  • I like the rawness of 90's grunge. It is my favorite music.

  • damn i love 2 play this song on ROCK BAND!!!!

  • corgans hair <3

  • @AidenForLife yes haha LOL

  • @AidenForLife when he had it, it was pretty glorious hahah

  • I miss the days when Billy had hair...

  • i hot tune !!!seen them in ATL.GA. @ center stage!

  • i feel really bad for the 10 people who disliked this song.. maybe they just watched it upside down and thought they were liking it

  • The best band, the most creative and prolific singer song writer of our age, Billy Corgan. Just awesome.

  • @Schwarzkald Thom Yorke says hi.

  • he has a real chiseled face but does not look good with long hair

  • See kids this is back when music was good. Now that shit they play on the radio now that they call "music" I call it crap

  • @JumpedShark i agree dude im 16 and i think the music they play on the radio is shit

  • When creating a 90's video, don't forget to include someone drawing on a chalkboard.

  • Wow - Yoko Ono plays a mean guitar.

  • That riff really reminds me of Paranoid. Cool!

  • @walkies777 Black Sabbath is one of Corgan's biggest influences

  • god i would take hearing this as mainstream music on the radio over this rhiana or gaga crap

  • @TheAcidbathfiend666 zzzzz......

  • classic...godam i miss the 90s:(

  • He had hair?

  • @trivial131 Yeah, the "Ming The Merciless" look came later in his career.

  • This song have amazing bass lines

  • What made this so epic at the time: it was goddamn funky. I mean, you can actually dance to this shit. Same with that big riff from "Bury Me". It was miles from the plodding sludge rock sound so popular at the time, and sounded fresh even if some hated it or dismissed it as "hippie" or "psych".

  • I wish I was in a tub of water and rose petals.

    With D'Arcy, that is.

    Girls Take Note:

    Guys Like Chicks Like These.

    wang.

  • Man, i remember hearing the riff at 1:12 on a Haro freestyle bike video when i was in middle school and was like WOW, who is this playing. I sold my bike, bought a strat, big muff pedal and a marshall amp. Gish was one of the best albums of the 90's hands down.

  • @PhantomZO9 alternative

  • Tell me, tell me what you're after / I just want to get there faster. Effing awesome lyric.

  • i miss real music.

  • all I listen to now is Pumpkins bootlegs... I haven't heard the original in so long, I was surprised when he didn't say "dig it in the motherfuckin world I peel"

  • that's right! better not go into double-digit dislikes!

  • This song kills me. It kicketh ass "dude".

  • 2 awesome changes great rock masterpiece

  • Justin Bieber missed the like button 9 times..what a douchebag

  • WOOH :) ahh the 90's....^^ even as a mere 14 year old i miss the years i cant even remember. that's pretty sad.. :P

  • @1foreversedated1, I completely agree. I was born in the 90's and the Smashing Pumpkins is my favorite band. It shows how crappy nowadays music is.

  • SP..before the bullshit..gotta love it

  • now that billy is shaved he can't sing "Yellow streak down in my hair"

  • @pibepuga The line is "Gather strength down in my heel" not yellow streak down in my hair.

  • @pibepuga pretty sure the lyric is "gather strength down in my heel".

  • @twcatube pretty sure the lyric is "ganja strength and warm cornmeal".

  • who is the guy who looks like billy with the hair?

  • I liked the bassist better without tits! :( I think billy did the "I'm shaving my head before I go bald" thing!! A FANTASTIC TIMESLESS BAND THOUGH!

  • i love this album

  • Comment removed

  • classic. period.

  • @sacmusicfan best period.

  • come on,baby ,rock them !

  • The lyrics posted are completely wrong.i spin off and lose my head, gather strength down in my heel, i don t live -i inhale, stars full of wishes fill our beds...

by the way this song is a ROCK dynamite!i like the change from quite to heavy parts.this technic is corgan`s most brilliant offer on rock music.(the old)pumpkins rule!

  • @RedSkyBlues Why do people talk bad about The New Smashing Pumpkins in a world filled with Rap, Hip-Hop, and Pop we should support The New Smashing Pumpkins and stop crying and acting like babies because it's not Siamese Dreams or Melancholy And The Infinite Sadness.

  • wow, they got clive owen on the drums!

the drums at towards the end of this song is epicness!!!

  • wow, they got clive owen on the drums!

  • I always thought Billy sounded similar to Lindsay Buckingham

  • Classic Pumpkins :):):):):):) This is real music.

  • Heavy. Makes this bubble gum naval gazer crap they play now look like weak vomit!

  • god this shit is heavy, i love it!

and wtf is with their new album, it sounds retarded

  • @wolfshozzer thats what happens when its just Billy and he has to compete with todays "hits".

  • lol he still looks like a fag with hair lol cuts it off again :O

  • Great song from SP's best album.

  • I'm hearing a lot of Sabbath in the guitar...

  • @gapingmaw20 yup, sabbath, jimi, you name it ... even some brian may in the solos

  • what is the best album of the smashing pumpkins? I wanna start to listen this amazing band

  • @GRUNGERINNIRVANA For me Gish is their best, start with that then work your way through, you won't be disappointed with any of their albums, enjoy

  • @GRUNGERINNIRVANA Personally Siamese Dream is their best album to me simply because of the Summer sunny day nostalgic vibe it gives off. But none of the albums have been disappointing. Id say start off with Gish and work your way along. Every album has something you will like.

  • @CrisNance siamese dream has a very dreamy distortion

  • @GRUNGERINNIRVANA

    siamese dream = soma

  • @GRUNGERINNIRVANA bullet with butterfly wings, thats the first song that got me attached to this band

  • @GRUNGERINNIRVANA gish siamese dream are there 1st and 2nd albums I'd start with those ones 1st

  • the realist shit yet... choiceness? check. .style? yep!. .emotional content? on point... what happened?? ; , /

  • pretty inferior compared to later pumpkins hits

  • @Chubachus Theres nothing inferior about Siva or the Gish album,Pumpkins at their brilliant best!!

  • @Chubachus LOL Gish is their best album

  • @Chulaan no!

  • Billy with anything equals SEXINESS.

  • he was on lsd at the time

  • Billy Page

  • Fuckin' Grand Music!! 90's Music was top of the class!

  • love those fuzzed out guitars

  • crank those guitars ! love this album this song...

  • Youth is gone and missed. I loved growing up with this. Great times!!!

  • bad ass song you know it

  • god dammit i wish i was old enough in the '90s to experience and appreciate this great music

  • wow.. i always liked the pumpkins but i never knew they could shred me into a coma only to awake to white sheets. i dont have white sheets... i must have had intense orgasms for the entirety of the coma.

  • This song is so sick, why did they go to electric drums later on?

  • @Eifler121 They only resorted to electric drums in the album adore which is their fourth studio album. And around this time drummer jimmy chamberlin got kicked out of the band for doing heroin on the mellon collie tour.(A whole different story) So they didn't have a drummer to record with for adore which was their next album. So they used electric drums.

  • Oh yeah!

  • I love this song

  • They were doing a bunch of acid when around the time of the gish era.

  • this is some kind of red hot chilli peppers of 80's or Living Colour(that was good bands too)but upside down, very different.

  • LOVE THIS S**T !!!

  • what happened? they got better and made a song like zero.

    shit my balls.

  • What happened? They were so cool.Grunge gaze at it's finest.

  • best album ever......

  • @umitsjustgrunge dam straight

  • I hear a lot of Janes Addiction undertones in this that I never noticed back in the day? anyone eles with me on this? I am not saying they copied or anything.....just a lot of simular notes and feel

  • Comment removed

  • @usernamegivemeabreak well, they came along just as Janes were splitting up (the first time), so it's just that "Janes-ness" that drew us to them in the first place. (prob wasn't intentional, but was a plus-point) . Both good, we need more music like this (and JA) these days.

  • god he was crazy to shave off his hair.. he looked alot better with iit... every musician looses their "powers" when they cut thier hair off... it took them awhile but they finally lost their powers lol... i dnt like the newer album... its not as... awesome... idk

  • The pumpkins always had the coolest videos for this time period. Always really surreal with badass, just snarly guitar behind it.

And Billy's hair, man, those were the days.

  • This is my favorite Pumpkins video in terms of cinematography.

  • This song reminds me of the band Tool somehow... pretty similar style.. I mean for this song :)

  • I'm just comparing "Tarantula" on Letterman to the "Gish"period....man what the hell always seems to happen to every super great band....the first 3-5 years are cool but then they fragment into schizophrenia or something....the money and fame just corrupts into everything/ego's etc....This was such an awesome line-up...full of spirit...Tarantula is a good song too but the band had already done itself in by then...the hunger was gone.Rock on.

  • I miss James and Darcy sooooo much :( It is not the same band with out them.

  • your so right!

some people play down their involvement because they weren't technically as good as billy or jimmy but james and d'arcy were the heart of the band. Today the Pumpkins are simply a Billy Corgan side project.

  • Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • reminds me of 1992/1993 , beatiful days

  • @MrG75 the rock decay a lot since this years, don't you agree?

  • @MrG75 the rock decay a lot since this years, don't you agree?

billy without hair= fucking beastly ass artist.

  • @umitsjustgrunge

so in other words Billy - fucking beastly ass artist?

  • @umitsjustgrunge

    darcy with clothes = hot

darcy w/o clothes = fucking hot

  • @umitsjustgrunge nah man he was cooler with hair

  • Love this song, great energy!

  • Their only truly bad album in my opinion is Zeitgeist, such a disappointment, and even that record has a couple seriously great songs on it, "Bring The Light" for example is great.

Gish is still the absolute BEST hands down.

  • Bring The Light and Come On Let's Go are smashing good!

  • @autumnpumpkin what about Turantula and The United States,,,, dont like them? honestly i liked Zeitgeist more that both of the Machina albums.

  • both Tarantula and United States are good, as well as 7 Shades Of Black, but the 2 aforementioned are my definite favourites on Zeitgeist. agree on the last sentence, frankly I think Zeitgeist is their best album since Siamese Dream.

  • can't believe how YOUNG they look! wow.

  • Wierd Corgans dating Jessica Simpson, then again, Simpson would date a roast beef sandwich

  • thissounds a hell of alot like led zepplin. dont like. i like sps more meaning full stuff

  • duude... what's wrong with led zeppelin...

  • SP have some of the best most psychedelic guitar solos ever!!!

  • Preciosa

  • Gish is a MUST have!

  • I actually started Smashing Pumpkins with Mellon Collie, and liked a few songs from that album. I was more into their more-gentle music like 'Tonight, Tonight' and '1979'. Then I heard some of the more hardcore tracks on that album and loved it even more. Bought Siamese Dream and love it, but I still need to buy Gish.

  • Love this album, so underrated!

  • Actually Mayonaise is the song that got me into the Pumpkins and Soma made me fall in love with them, so that album holds a special place in my collection. Pisces Iscariot was awesome too, it has the best cover of all time on it (Landslide). That said I really hope Teargarden Kaleidescope goes back to their Gish sound, although no Iha or D'Arcy really hurts.

  • @dgfutg

    i agree

  • are you kidding? siamese dream is a PERFECT album. every song deserves 5 stars.

  • @yyyuuuguppy It's good some good tracks, namely track 1, 2 and 4. apart from that, there's nothing special about it, and Disarm is just embarrasing.... could easily be a Ronan Keating song

  • disarm is a BEAUTIFUL AMAZING song. the whole damn album is perfect. PERFECT. Cherub Rock - Luna = EPIC AWESOME ROCK AND ROLL PSYCHEDELIC EXPERIENCE TO THE EXTREME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! there is not one thing wrong with siamese dream

  • agreed

  • @dgfutg What a joke... Siamese Dream is considered to be one of the top albums of the 90's, not just by fanboys like myself, but from critics and the average fans. Learn to expand you're taste and further your musical knowledge before you go spitting exaggerated remarks....

  • @pandelerick Doesnt change the fact that disarm is an embarrasing pop-ballad, pointing ahead to the "mellon collie" disaster....

  • @dgfutg By you calling Disarm a "pop ballad" tels me more than enough about your music knowledge. You have no clue in what your talking about and the fact that you fail to provide other wise only makes you seem like my "assumptions" were correct...

  • oh yeah such a pop balad... do u know what is pop?? say that smashing pumpkins have pop balads is the same as calling them shit...if they are shit I don't know about the rest t
