Doesn't seem that high. I took my 2011 Genesis 2.0T to 152 mph already, and that's stock. Absolutely nothing added. Not sure what's going on here, but maybe your video didn't last long enough.
Dont know why everyone hates on hyundai. Had my Genesis for about 2 months now. Ive owned a volvo, ford, chevy, and chrysler. in terms of "Quality" Or overall feeling about the car its the best ive owned, BY FAR....after my last ford never again will i buy American made(cars). I took mine to 160mph which is around where you got dude and it still had room to go I am sure the top speed is another 20kmph and that is cause I have an auto one

i have a genesis 2.0T and there shit dont buy one there slow the powerband is weird i had to go back a couple times for defects in the body and interior the turbo only works from like 2-41/2 no high end i got spanked by a wrx stock highway speed i spent 32gs on it and its just trash

@larlar752000 Depends. the awd only helps on launch after that the turbo in the wrx's are laggy as hell.. The genesis is a pretty light car prob a little lighter then the WRX.. so the scooby would have a nice start but prob couldn't keep the momentum going.. Keep in mind the genesis after 2 weeks of testing beat the pikes peek world record in it's class.. Lets see any other car do that :P

What is your definition of a "fast" car. I have been in a few US classic muscle cars and European models. Does the Genesis Coupe perform like a Corvette, no, but it doesn't cost the same as a Vette either. It is on par with the G35/G37 Ininiti Models though in terms of performance.

I really love the Genesis Coupe.....only problem is they really overdid the plastic on the lower part of the Fascia....It a little too much....If it were me it woulda be plastic around the fog lights in the general shape it is already and the cut out all the plastic in the middle and carry those two really cool lines that come down from beside the lights and past the emblem down to the bumper

@thefutureboom its actually kinda about culture in my opinion. in america cars are for the most part built for horsepower and good numbers in the 1/4 mile. german cars are generally more balanced between power and handling. so generally american cars have more power and german cars have better handling. however there are american cars that can outhandle most german cars and german cars with more power than most german cars. example almost every mercedes

@thefutureboom if it helps you sleep better at night that german cars dont need any mods ... then so be it, but in real life experience, in circuit racing, all kinds of tracks, it is the driver that makes the most out of the car. In the end, it really isn't about the car. For instance, if i put u in a formula car, you'd probably crash and spin out... and thats a highly modded car. the Z06 stock would put many german cars to shame, but im not saying that american cars are better, nor is german.

idk man, when you come from like a Jetta with contrast in the interior it just seems like they don't spend enough time in the interior. also every car i pass that's a KIA or Hyundai at least one light is blown out. Though looking at the newer Hyundais and KIAs it seems that they are putting more effort in them...

How about the price difference on a vehicle of same quality, if not better to the Mercedes SLK. How about the simple modifications that can push it up to 190mph+ Oh and I missed a few super cars that the Germans made? I dont think that it is a true supercar unless it is THE fastest production car ever built. This vehicle is not meant to be a "supercar"

@fd3srules you obviously have not owned or drove a German car have you? they are actually pretty god damn fast not to mention handle amazingly. but they really aren't all too expensive. you can buy a brand new Mercedes Benz c-class for the same price as the genesis. not saying that either is better then the other, its just a preference thing.

However, Hyundai has always been known for using cheap(er) parts, thus why their overall value and initial cost is reasonably lower than other cars. I'm not saying this car is cheaply made, because I honestly don't know. However, I do know that Hyundai has a long history of doing so.
Again, I'm not trying to argue here - since it seems like that's what most of you want to do.

What is your definition of a "fast" car. I have been in a few US classic muscle cars and European models. Does the Genesis Coupe perform like a Corvette, no, but it doesn't cost the same as a Vette either. It is on par with the G35/G37 Ininiti Models though in terms of performance.

superchargedwere less horsepowerand torque.. even considering a 05' cobalt ss was the last supercharged one, affter tune ups and stage 3 supercharg you ended with270 hp or something around there... 08-10 cobalt SS turbos are 280/290 hp now I believe.. and they're little torquey bitches.and then youcan go up to stage 3 turbocharge kit from your dealer.. Supposeably iff you add a Cold air on the supercharger it works wonders thou.. no idea.

I really love the Genesis Coupe.....only problem is they really overdid the plastic on the lower part of the Fascia....It a little too much....If it were me it woulda be plastic around the fog lights in the general shape it is already and the cut out all the plastic in the middle and carry those two really cool lines that come down from beside the lights and past the emblem down to the bumper
