I might be able to get the Inception concepts just as soon as I get the Melancholy concepts. Now why won't the future be affected if I travel to the past to attempt and change it?
@eggman1269 agreed. I don't get it but I guess they are trying to be unique when a lot of people like something. still a funny parody though. loved it when saito said "we should have thought of that"
I like this video, however there is one part that they got wrong.
It isn't the feeling of water that wakes everybody up, it was the upward acceleration of the van hitting the water. I know this isn't meant to be serious, but that particular part wasn't really funny either since they got their facts wrong.
This is one of those films that everyone loves and gushes over and I end up seeing and then feel like I'm taking Mugato crazy pills because it is so fucking silly and just God awful, but these people fucking nailed it.
@TheAtomicReagan: The point isn't that it was hard to understand. The point is that it was unnecessarily complicated with a lot of nonsensical stuff while in fact if you analyze it carefully it was just based off 2 or 3 pretty simple concepts and nothing more. It's a pretty, well made, but ultimately empty movie. It's just superficially brilliant, with a layer of "cool" apparent complexity with no point other then distracting from the lack of real depth in the plot.
@TheAtomicReagan: You missed the point of the parody. Compare it with a brilliant Nolan movie like "The Prestige", which is full of depth and cleverness without any need for superficial complexity made up just for a pointless "cool factor".
@Shendue But the movie wasn't that complex. At least I don't think it's very complex. I mean, don't get me wrong, you can't fall asleep for a third of the movie and understand the other two thirds, but if you actually watched the film it makes perfect sense without trying to think on it.
@xSxExSx1: I quote myself: "The point isn't that it was hard to understand. The point is that it was unnecessarily complicated". Complicated doesn't mean "Hard to understand".
I NEVER EVER had problems in understanding a single movie, anyway. I'm usually the guy who explains the plot to his friends that didn't get it, so i'm not talking about that.
I'm just saying it is actually TOO SIMPLE and it adds faux complexity to let people think it's witty while it's not.
@TheAtomicReagan But the complexity adds nothing to the movie, it's just artificial padding to make the movie seem deep and metaphysical, like "Matrix", but while "Matrix" was smart and credible, this movie was just dumb as hell, a mess of convoluted scenes that all had some lame cliffhanger to them!
@TheAtomicReagan I don't think they were saying it was hard to understand, just convoluted and a tiny bit inconsistent in some parts. Also, I laughed so hard at the batman in the end.
Just about all these complaints are explained in the movie, or at least enough information is given to allow one to suspend disbelief. The best weakness of the movie was not even used in this skit; it isn't explained why limbo is so bad, but Cobb brings Saito out using a pistol.
@billytamer It's not really ripping off - just the general motif of "simple = bad, complex = brilliant." In the South Park episode, one of the characters says, "It's so complex and cool!" at one point.
@Moppy1988 lol just cause you watch one video first doesn't mean that that one was made first. Matt and Trey both admitted that they copied stuff from this.
@Moppy1988 "insheeption commentary" so watch that. and recognize that you're wrong. also, notice that the video was made by collegehumor. notice that this was uploaded by not collegehumor.
College humour fucked up. I have an explanation for all their criticism but the youtube comments limit is getting in my way. Hoestly though, i expected more intellegence and understanding out of "COLLEGE" humor.
@Opethvince dude... that was the whole episode (and don't come back saying 'no it wasn't' it was an exaggeration used to stress a valid point being that they overused the hell out of a bad joke).
you said why didnt that the flight attendent should have pushed you outta the chairs, they were too heavily sedated and he made a compound that would last the time of the flight whichis how they woke up because once the timer goes of they can wake up from the first level.
