combined with thermal, nightvision, face recognition, movement recognition, GPS, this will likley start the beginning of the end of humanity. IF IT WERE A VIDEO GAME. otherwise; Brilliant. ;)
think of the possibilities here photographic memory, infrared/ thermal vision, typing a paper by just thinking, teaching students, theres an app for that, vertual reality, projector screen from your eye. The only problem will be an invasion of privacy into your computer brain or hackers.
the point would be that everybody's memories/information would be entirely public and shared freely and consciously creating a sort of social hive intelligence leading to higher states of morality and intellect (and towards neurosomatic or neuroelectric fusion).. so yea no room for hackers or privacy for that matter
lets not worry about all that right now though. like the internet it is very usefull and the convenience will outwiegh the problems. but with great power comes great responsibility and in the future the internet will cause problems like wiping out bank records making the dollar just paper then. in this information age i think its necesary to get plugged in via contact lens computer to enhance ones mind.
if only the military would release it's technology for commercial use and stop hogging all the best scientists.... but cool! i can have a computer on my eyeball
They are being made. Caltech is working on an implant for the motor cortex allowing you to move a mouse cursor or robotic arm by thought impulse. The Blue Brain project is creating a virtual human brain. The Singularity institute is creating a singularity AI. John Hopkins Uni is making cyborg limbs. The Berger program is making memory enhacers. There are dozens of fields of science that are just entering into the same incredible spike computers hit 30 years, image the world in another 30 years.
healthy savants and (google strongman) strong man, 20-20 vision and other huamsn are naturaly born and can be taught and fed right. But because humans are so filthy and disqusting twisted and perverted in a very perverse way I think this self body "enhancements" is a higher lvl of lazy narcissistic foolishness to prove that we can waste our time because we simply exist in the nothingness that we believe to be so(atleast most of their points of views that I talk about) It's cute though. I guess
Frady cat organics. I got cybernetic eyes 6 months ago and they'll destroy the market for organic's enhancers like there. I also got an ultrasonic organ so I can also see through walls.
Nice animation, interesting idea. However the audio was totally over the top.... I could only make out about 10 percent of what the sexdriod was saying. Judging by the posts here I would say it's a hit with the kids. More of a hit it would appear than learning how to speak English effectivley.
dude, what year am i in? wait... no, it's you. dude, you time jumped. people don't know yet, well, now that you told them they do. nice way to create some paradoxs
The neurotonet that was showed there is one of the earthworm. And this ist the limit of what the since can do at the moment. They cut the brain of the worm in slices and scan it, than they reproduce it in the computer simulation. And than it works, the earthworm living for ever :)
This may not be real but check out the shoe: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7-_pvv1-G8
This is the 'pie in the sky' design. A more realistic and sooner device would use 'glasses'. Didn't we have glasses before they invented contact lenses?
Not to be rude, but what about the shoe? It has a microprocessor to adjust it to various things...no new idea, and yes, you can buy it now, it's just a shoe. I agree with the glasses comment, though. :).
It's not real, but this is an incredible concept, i don't know whether it was a coincidence, but in wired they had something like this. "very NEAR future" come on! it has a 1.33 THZ processor!! This "contact lense will be here by about 2020
damn, seeing this and that LED tagging thing that one guy did, i thought we were ready to change to a more futuristic civilization, like the kind you see in tv :P lol
I don't think it's real, at least not yet, but definitely on a drawing board somewhere. Nanotechnology is REAL, happening right now, and I wouldn't be surprised if something like this appears in the very NEAR future........
i recken i can use ths to catch me some deer with this

Do a US Patent Search. Use the key words of nano and lens. It already has the capacity to be our reality. Check out
US Patent 7330369 Nano Electronic Memory Array.

2020? Get real. This is a real advertising
video, telling US RIGHT AT THIS MOMENT HOW
ADVANCED THEIR TECHNOLOGY HAS BECOME. For those of you who wear contacts, SAY
HELLO TO MIND CONTROL. Now I wonder how many people are wearing
these things as contacts already.
NANOSIZED MEANS 100 OF THESE CAN FIT ON THE
HEAD OF A PIN AND STILL NOT BE VISIBLE. THIS COMPANY IS A PARTNER COMPANY OF OTHER
NANOTECHNOLOGYS. Do not fool yourselfs that this product
is not on the market already.
