  • 0-100 11s ??? Golf 6 r32 0-100 5s !!!!

  • Shift sucks

  • I too am around 4.3 - 4.5 seconds to 60mph in my 2010 Wrx sedan.

Have you been to a track yet? 105mph trap is probably around 13.2.

I pulled 12.8@109 at the track with mine. Videos are on my channel.

I just have a stage 2 map, downpipe, catback, and an intake

  • @Kinger124 WRX's are about 0.2 to 0.4 seconds faster to 60 than STi since you use two gears we have to shift to third to get to 60mph unless we rev second gear out to 7300rpm.

I have since increased timing from 5600+ so my trap speed should be closer to 109-112. I had forgotten to change timing for HP when I was doing all my mid range tuning. Car should have 20-30hp more hp on the top end. Will get another video once we get some dry pavement.

  • @HellTriX

Ya I know they're faster to get to 60mph. Beleive even 60ft is better too.

So have you taken it to the track yet?

  • @Kinger124 Took it to the track once last season. Best was a 13.419 due to clutch problems. Turns the bolt to the clutch cylinder wasn't tight and I lost enough fluid that the clutch stopped working. So I couldn't get into 3rd and 4th gears very fast. Best 60foot was 1.783 with 8.4 1/8th mile at 85.64mph but then unable to shift to 4th for a full second or so means my trap was 101mph and 13.419 1/4mile.

  • @HellTriX

    I did:

1.9229 60ft ( taking it easy at launch in fear of busting the transmission)

    8.2619@85.60 1/8

    12.8576@109.09 1/4

FFS really makes a difference. First run of the night and first time taking the car past 4K I managed a 13.2 without FFS

  • @Kinger124 I think it depends my 2011 wrx pulled 12.80@105 with stage 1+

  • @ndkoz77

It all depends, weather, track conditions, sea level, etc etc

  • My 2011 sti is stage 2 and I was getting 4.5 second 0-60 times. That was with launch control and flat foot shifting. Are you leaving traction control on or something??

  • @davidhaagsma No, i was intentionally soft launching in this video. The video in the response is better launches. Unfortunately I can't get 4.5s 0-60 with my current tires, they are just not they great of summer tire. They are Falken 452s. Decent tire but my old G-force T/A KWDs where far superior.

  • Actually your timer started early so you 0-60 was like 4 seconds. Was this after you installed the new pistons? Btw where do u get the meth? Gas station?

  • @sergsrt8 This video is after the piston, install. Today actually I just changed to my bigger methanol injector, and tomorrow I plan to update the tune to take advantage of the increased mehtanol flow. My AFRs dropped to 11.2 from the 11.6 it was set at. So I can lean it back out and maybe even get a bit more timing. This should increase power across the entire curve. I get Methanol at GarageMotorworks in Vacouver WA. Its a muscle car shop and he has 55Gal drums he pumps out of. Around $5/gal

  • @HellTriX cool, just a couple more questions. Why were u shifting at 6000rpm instead of like 6500rpm? and the meth is injected when you hit a certian amount of boost pressure right? like 18psi or so?

  • @sergsrt8 Meth injection is currently set so that once I reach 9-11 psi it starts pumping. It actually uses the injector duty cycle (tapped right into an injector wire) so at 30-45% injector it begins pumping. Its a progressive system so at 75% injector duty cycle the pump reaches its maximum. I shift at 6000 rpm because the stock turbo runs out out of steam at top end, if I shift at 6k, I arrive at 20-21 psi again. At 7k I have 15psi so shifting at 7k would put me somewhere around 17 psi.

  • I'm still getting like 6.5 from 80-110... My eclipse (sorry to mention the fat galant bastard child, but I'm quite proud of her,) did 80-110 in almost the same time. Although, that's in one gear for me. My 2000 dollar tiburon did it in a bit over 4. I could never keep up in the corners, or off the line, but I am surprised to be honest. Oh, and I'm running at 4000ft idk what altitude you're at? Sweet ride though! Sedan? I want one soo bad. I have three cars at the moment to sell first

  • @HellTriX I'm not exactly sure of the exact weight difference. I just know that the carbon fiber feels like nothing. The stock hood did have the air convection system built onto it although I doubt that would make much difference since it is mainly plastic. I just posted a vid of my hood on my channel. I snatched it off Ebay for around 700 bucks.

  • Correction...3371lbs (not 3351 as I had stated.) I was shocked when I saw this on the weigh scale slip.

  • I just put on a VIS style carbon fiber hood this weekend on my 2011. I was surprised to feel just how heavey the stock hood is when we removed it.

  • @9dewittk I have wondered myself how much difference a carbon fiber hood would be compared to stock. I was under the impression the stock hoods where only a few lbs heavier.

  • why are the 1/4 times on our cars so slow compared to years before, i like my 11, but god its slow

  • @jibaro Its the heaviest sedan ever made by Subaru lol... Its all this 5 star crash rating stuff. With 2 people, audio system and a little camping gear my car weighed in at 4100 lbs. That means these Sedans are about 3700 lbs just sitting on the dealers lot.

Just need a bigger turbo :)

  • @HellTriX You sure that's right man? My '08 hatch weighed in at 3351lbs, with a full tank of gas, minus occupant. This measurement was done at the local dump, which should be relatively accurate. I doubt the sedan is 350lbs heavier.

Also, have you tried running 2nd gear out and checking your times? I found that my best acceleration was always achieved running out 1st and 2nd to redline (or a little after with tuning.) The gear multiplier makes it worth it over shifting earlier to 3rd.

  • @Digitalfiendscom Actually my calculations initially showed running first and second gear to 7000 or 7500 for first and 7000 for second was optimal. However now with Meth tuning, Their is quite a bit more torque at 3500-4500 so I am not sure if those points are still accurate. I will try to get some more times in to compare soon. The road/strip is hard to shut down long enough for lots of passes. Also the 2011s should be heavier than the previous years they added lots of body stiffness.

  • @Digitalfiendscom I will try to find a scale soon and get a good weight on her soon.
