  • WTF, are these people dead? Zombies, or just plain old idiots! Man, CANNOT BELIEVE THESE PEOPLE.........I'm speechless.

  • crowd is dead...is just all business in ny or what??

  • How can anyone walk away during a performance of a classic Wings song?

  • 0:40-0:44 hahhahaha

  • Why were there people walking away like fucking morons.

  • I wouldnt leave if my wife was giving birth!

  • Oh, that was the same idiot who left at 1:15

  • 4:26 ....I can't imagine what could possibly be more important than the greatest musician of all time playing in front of you, for you. I hope your fat ass got a good shot of that queer butterfly or whatever the hell you were filming, while I'm here wishing I would have had the chance to sacrifice my left testicle to be standing where you were.

  • @therealfactor LMAO, you're so right, I can't comprehend these stiffs' indifference at such a display before them. Check out 0:08, it looks like he's looking to see who is saying "yes".

  • its paulie for crist sake people! quit standing there headbang or something let yur wives scream just do something! woooooooooooo paulie i wish the beatles were together still but since john is dead and harrison they cant go together.

  • fucking Yuppies... there´s a beatle in front of you... don´t be a usual US crowd!

  • Yes...

    Yes hehe

    Live on roof top 2...

  • Are those people listening to the same person I am? No really, are they? Is this a joke?

  • thats right rock out billy shears

  • How the heck did Paul end up on the roof again?

  • @IanEduardoMeneses God put him there.

  • Stupid fuckin New Yorkers. They don't deserve this.

  • dum fuckin american probably though it was ronald mcdonald singing about big macs lol

  • for these dead people in the audience....

"Have you seen the bigger piggies

    In their starched white shirts

You will find the bigger piggies

    Stirring up the dirt

And they always have clean shirts to play around in..."

  • Where the he'll is that guy going? He just leaves lol nutter

  • MAN!! I WISH I WAS IN NEW YORK!!C >:U

  • i wish I was there and witness the show by one of the greatest performer ever live

  • What a bunch of stiffs! Paul is rockin' and they're just standing there!

  • Whats with the street still being open? There are vehicles going by still. WTF? They don't have enough streets in NYC to close 2 blocks of this one!!!....what a crock of shit.

  • people left? thats just sad

  • just standing..bollocks. they have to know what PAUL is.

  • Paul's voice sounds really good here. I have the DVD of this performance with the Deluxe Edition of Good Evening New York City which has to be (besides Wings Over America) Paul's best live album.

  • Let's put this 1 fucking screwball (who dislike this video) and ship it to space.

Amazing video ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Youtube Search : Heartland Horror

  • i like the song paul's singing. I know it must be from the wings but what's the song called

  • @caulinrocker

ok, fair point i see were you are coming from exept i seen this great man perform this fantasitc song at hard rock calling 2010 and majority of people went fucking crazy, thats why am not getting it ?

  • @htcc easy to sing? Are you mad ?

  • This is still my favorite McCartney song after all these years. It's easy to sing and one of the more interesting pop songs out there. Know anyone who DOESN'T like this song? No doubt someone will hate it on youtube.

  • Mysterious synchronized turn around at 0:42

  • Is that a priest with his collar turned backwards? LOL, does that mean he's off duty? LMAO And he's got a girlfriend! LOL

  • one word...awsome

  • The very best of the best.

  • Haha! Singing this to those offices! hahah :)

  • Who the fuck is the moron that left at 1:15

  • He was expecting a David Horowitz concert! lol

  • @Pat0B I know right? I would have stayed and if i was late for work i would have been like "McCartney was playing. Shove it."

  • @Pat0B He realized that Paul can't sing anymore, what do you think you foul mouth Loser.

  • I haven't read all these comments but does anybody else see echos here from the Apple Rooftop "concert" from January 1969 right before The Beatles disbanded?

  • Wow, is this crowd dead. Are you kidding me!!

  • If I had been there would have died

  • I wonder if Paul has any idea how much Americans love him. As a very conservative right-wing-Christian-Fundamentalist I simply cannot let go of his style and class when it comes to music. Frankly, I don't anyone, even Elvis, has gone full-circle around the world and ended up on top. I'd crawl across broken glass just to shake his hand.

  • Not only the best mccartney solo but one of the best pop songs ever!

  • not a bad recording

  • do you remember how long he played that day?

  • HAHA!! Love 0:42 to 0:44 =P

  • Paul McCartney's voice is sweet, great recording tone and flexibility but his

tuning is better in the higher registers.

  • miserable americans.. fucking shameful how rude they all are

  • I'm dancing here in my chair... does that count? You are a lucky man to see him!

  • It's very common for best friends to have girlfriends that their friends cannot stand. I lost respect for my best friend because of the girl he decided to play house with. Good thing he's not the marrying type. I also lost respect for him because he beat his girlfriends. I don't mind if he beats this one, though (I sadly admit).

  • Of course, Mac got the necessary permit this time. ahahhahahahah.

  • ......that guy and girl leaving at the beginning of one of the best songs Wings ever recorded? Are you kidding me???!!! Someone should've booted them in ass on their way out!!! aaronsmichael, you are so lucky to have been there- I am sooooo jealous! I would've made a fool of myself right along with you if I had been there! Screw em all if they don't realize what they are witnessing here- a once in a lifetime legend that we haven't had since and probably never will again!!!

  • Did these guys realize how lucky they were for being there!!!!!!!!!!

  • the same reaction they got when they performed on the rooftop at abby road studios.

  • Bloody right this was paul mcartney who was from the band who invented pop music for the masses!

  • Whats wrong with these people ?

This is one of the worlds greatest performers EVER performing one of the greatest songs ever for them and they are just standing there like trees !

Seriously they wouldnt know good music if it hit them in the face !!!

If it was me there i would be going crazy !!!

  • @blairlogie

Tell me about it! I was holding back by only saying "yes" while filming. Before this footage, I was screaming, crying and making a fool out of myself. I didn't care - it's the Messiah performing.

These people standing there taking it for granted are worthless and should have gotten the fuck out of the way so I could get closer!

  • @aaronsmichael - Love McCartney and the Beatles music, but the 'messiah' comment is more than a bit over the top...

  • @aaronsmichael - Once in a lifetime performance my man - you were very lucky - Much Peace...

  • @blairlogie - Im with ya man id be flippin out like never in my life, these people are fucked!!

  • @blairlogie -I think I woulda fainted!

  • @blairlogie Totally... and to watch a stupid bicyclist roll thru like nothing's going on. I mean, the STREET IS half closed and they don't notice?!

  • @blairlogie --Most probably didn't understand English.

  • @blairlogie I believe they are listening to the music. I would do the same but inside yes, I would be crazy with happiness. One of reason The Beatles stoped playing live concert was because the fans went crazy and no one was listening anymore (even they could hardly listen to themselves).

  • @fantorjhs oh my fucking god iv never seen this performance until just now how can they just stand there not moving this is sir paul mccartney the best ever the x beatle i would be going crazy and the show was free. People don't appreciate anything thats why the world is the way it is. No one gets it paul fucking mccartney and they just stand there my kids are 9 and 12 and they go crazy just from the video

  • @blairlogie

Nothing is wrong with the people... this is just the video effect.. I watched a lot of times the show I went in Sao Paulo-Brazil... people were going crazy in the show.. but video doesn't show that... dont't worry about it.. ;)

  • @blairlogie me too !

  • @blairlogie As Jim Morrison said it, "People are strange." Anyhow, music is dormant today, so these people here are just part of what's been happening in Western society.

  • @blairlogie

its called being amazed, this aint a metal concert

  • @blairlogie Tenés razón!!! Que le pasa a esta gente???? Sabrán a quien tienen delante??? Hay un genio desplegandosé frente a ellos y están como si no pasara nada..... No entiendo..no entiendo..Es que no saben quien es???? Saludos desde San Juan. Argentina!!!!!!!!

  • @blairlogie It's the Bieber effect...!! Overexposure to his music turns good rock fans into walkin' zombies... Poor signs of our times!! Is there any hope?? Please.... Long live McCartney!!!

  • @blairlogie - without the requisite "feat. Lil John or Pitbull" rap, this crowd has no idea what they are seeing.

  • why aren't these people dancing? go nuts people

  • @junta8710

because they are assholes from office buildings around the area who don't understand the importance of what was happening. I was crying, screaming and going nuts and people were looking at me like I was crazy. I didn't care - it was historic.

  • @aaronsmichael - the "assholes" understand. that is why they queued up in the first place. that is also why there is a loud, appreciative response at the end (that you chose to cut off). props to them for not sreaming, crying, and making fools out of themselves. maybe you should have taken your meds.

that being said...thanks for posting. i am sitting like a tree while i watch this on my computer.

  • @aaronsmichael This man can't be doing too many more shows in his lifetime, so everyone needs to let their hair down for a minute and rock out for once. Straight people can be such a drag.

  • Could not see any bloody thing, but I had to stay till the end because the song and singer are the best ever, and I was amazed by the sound quality.

  • everyones so calm.....LMAO....

  • thats weird how those two dudes looked back at the same time at 0:41

  • YES...........YES

  • yes.... yes....

  • Yes, Yes, lol

  • Paul will always rock! He just gets better and better.

  • Thanks for posting this.

    yes

  • 0:40 I bet those guys had that coordinated. Haha, love McCartney, love the Beatles. love the music. Such a great band.

  • Thank you very much for the performance of this awesome song

  • I think even the city itself smiled listening to Pauls' welcoming sounds...

  • @JulianL

el aliviane beatle, mexico beatle forever bye. miguel

  • YEEEESSSS!!!!- I said it too!

  • i cant stop laughing at the beginning when hes like YES!! YEEESSS!!!

  • its actually very annoying

  • it's just that the mic on his camcorder is not up to the job.

use a small camcorder to record any live concert and it tends to sound like crap.

here's a much better video of it.

    /watch?v=nK-IupRzHVI

  • it's the camcorder. use a small camcorder on any live concert and it ends up sounding like crap.

    search:

"Paul McCartney - Rooftop Concert at Ed Sullivan Theater - Part 2/3"

    a much better feed.

  • I dont blame him id cream my pants if he played that song live

  • omg amazing wish i was there !

  • wow i was exactly there 1 day later

  • I was there 3 days later.

  • i get how big Paul is. he is the number 1 music ICON on the planet at this time. and he is human too. typical Brit sarcasm, gotta love it.

  • Paul, you are timeless. thank you for sharing your time and talent with us on Letterman. your band mates, too!

  • Awesome, awesome song - thanks for the vid

I love seeing thes things while their on tv and then from the audience.

    It's interesting.

  • Wow! Thanks for posting this! Was this part of the original broadcast? I'm thinking "no". A++++++++++++++

  • it might be on the cbs letterman website

  • Oh, to be part of that audience... you were all so fortunate to see this legend live.

Thanks so much for posting it.

  • whats up with the guy that just turns and LEAVES at 1:21.

What was the thought process there?

"Hey honey look there's the singer from the greatest rock band ever doing a concert on a roof. Bah..60 seconds of this is enough. I'm good. You good? Ok lets go to Qdoba."

  • I think that guy probably had to get back to the office to finish up some work.

  • Because younger people don't get how huge Sir Paul is. Or how rare it is for him to perform live .

  • I agree childofclay and well worded!!

  • the guy in front of you with the suit on probably ditched work to see this. haha.

  • I actually left work at 3:00pm complaining of a bad stomach, met my girlfriend at Columbus Circle, 59th St at 3:30pm, she skipped out as well, bought a bottle of wine and got cups from a starbucks with a lid, poured cups full, stuck bottle on her purse, walked to the Sullivan Theatre and waited. Magical.

  • I can't get over how great the audio sounds!! Great job capturing this!! Cheers!!

  • It's great to see these 3 extra tunes from the performance that didn't fit into the show's broadcast. Nice capture too.

  • yeah :) Wish they would have braudcasted them though.

  • One of his best songs ever.

  • this song i could put on repeat and listen too all dayyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!
