@MatthewRusso I think Carly Simon is great. Are you familiar with Spy or My New Boyfriend? Both should've been bigger hits. I know what you mean about artists being 'dumped' on by the industry. Some artists don't even own the MASTERS to the music they CREATED. No wonder Prince had the word SLAVE on his face until his contract with Warner Bros expired. Heck, Warner Bros had YouTube PULL videos of their site by artists who were on their LABEL.

I am actually in the process of possibly coming up with a video for "Love You To Life" that is an homage to a sort of cult classic horror movie... in a way. I don't want to say much more until I have most of it finished. Time though has been very mean to me, and I have had to really delay it.  However, if it gets done, it will be lovely. Trust me. I'm not surprised that Grace Jones has such a treasure trove of unreleased material. Hopefully those of you, like yourself, who have these obscure material will be kind enough to share in the future. Well, per Grace herself, some of these artists are just tired of being treated like s**t by the record companies. Grace is one of them, Carly Simon is another...even Madonna got sh** on.

Grace does have a treasure of unreleased material---oh trust me. Several of my pieces came from her herself. These artists don't collect/archive or organize their material--it's usually like in boxes in storage--oddly enough. I could tell you tons about Billie Ray Martin and her materials.

I'm a fan of Vamp (1986) since i was 14 back in 96 after re-watching it since i was a kid, Miss Jones was great playing the role of Katrina. It's one of my favorite vampire movies and this song i heard on Sci-fi channel before.

Grace has a lot (a LOT) of rarities. I think I have one of the largest collections of her videos, both released, unreleased, and all her Italian television performances, and even her first unreleased concert with the live cougar in the cage...which was supposed to come out before One Man Show.  I also have the digital version of the demo of "I'll Find My Way To You"... and of course, the evilmainya dance remixes... .love those. I also have her Hurricane DVD. Love it all. : D

Hi. I have not posted it because I do not know what the legal/rights complications would be. Someone told me I would be able to post a piece of it, like 30 seconds, and you can't get in trouble for that...so maybe I'll do that and get a good portion of it that features the new footage and not the movie clips.

Copyright wise I think you are ok. In my experience, the only stuff that I have been requested is removed is MTV content and other tv content and the very latest release of an artist. I've posted a couple of Grace Jones videos and had no problems and I think it actually is beneficial to her from a promotional point of view. You can always set the video to private and only send the link to people who want to see it too.

You need permission to post or work with someone else's material, and typically, you need it in terms of actual documentation. It's called a release (in this case).

You think it's beneficial...and no one would argue that. However, the owner of such said material thinks it's infringement of copyright, and legally, it is.

I'll have to get in touch with sci-fi and see what my options are.

Well, to be honest, I am not into vampire anything, including movies...but Grace puts her comedic twist on VAMP so it's great fun. The only real vampire movie I could watch are the ones by hammer films, because they are classic films in a classic film era. I'm not big on vampires though, to be honest. : )

I love Hammer! my fave vamp movies of theirs is Horror of Dracula, Dracula Prince of Darkness, Captain Kronos Vampire Hunter and Vampire Lovers, seen those? Captain Kronos features vampires that suck out souls/youth instead of blood and did you know there are many species of vampires? beats ones that sparkle in the sunlight right? you should see Lifeforce if you liked Vamp as it features alien vampires.

I've just begun watching some of the Hammer films within the last year. I don't know all the titles, but I like how the typical movie always features a castle, a warning for people not to go--someone goes--they never return. A letter is sent...Then the asskicker character appears and goes to the castle. Love it.

I did see one recently where Christopher Lee was Dracula, and supposedly, Dracula per the tale, is not a very good ice-skater. Hehe.
