Son of a Preacher Man: I've been a fan of the late, great Dusty Springfield since the 1960s and never believed that other interpreters of this song could match her rendition. To be fair, I comared 4 versions: Dusty's, Bobbie Gentry's, Joss Stone's and the iconic Tina Turner's. Bobbie and Joss sounded like talent show contestants who might be in with a chance and Tina, sad to say, seemed as though she was on a downhill slide.I might be biased but I think Dusty's version is incomparable.
