to be honest it dont loock like thet brutal my zx12r is realy willd...when the tire is not properly in temperature thers tones of wheel spin...ofc there is a big difrens betwin draq strip and road...the drag strip is realy sticky

In gears 1-5, the ecu leaves these throttle plates mostly closed until about 7k rpm. MEANING: The bike is restricted to lower torque because kawi doesn't think the average rider can handle that much power in the lower gears. However me (with my 06), and just about every other zx14 rider out there removes the secondary throttle plates (also referred to as "flies") and adds a PCIII to add more fuel at the bottom, and lean it out up top. That will give you about 20 ft lbs more torque down low.

ok... just to clear some things up. The 06-07 zx14's are faster then the 08's because kawi added a 3rd catalytic converter, and made the a/f ratio about 10:1 at wide open throttle. MEANING: The 08 runs pig rich at wot and makes less horsepower because of it. People say that the 08 makes more low end and mid range power, but that is simply because all zx14s come with secondary throttle plates that are controlled by the ecu.

Drag races are won from the best start, the rest is easy.

My point is that put Rossi on a ZX12 next to this rider on the ZX14 at the same time

Rossi will put power to the ground more efficiently at the crucial start thus crossing the line first.

I have a 07 zx-14 with 1200 miles and my brother has a 08 busa 1500 miles on it. I way 170 hes like 200 lbs. I pull all the way up to about 170 ish then he leaves me slowly. Its all up to the rider. like pullin straws

I have a zx6 and that is plenty for me...I get just as good a buzz! The thing about 180-200mph is that you run out of space real fast. Hint...skipping between cars on dual carriage way at even 120mph is gonna get you killed...overtake in a clear lane at whatever speed you want but don't go between cars...shit you gonna die...seen it happen...I'm always weary...Cars just don't see you coming ever!?

Offfical dyno results BY MCN: 08 BUSA restricted on the dyno they got 183.01bhp at the rear wheel not the crank! with 108.14ftlp of torque!! The new ZZR14 restricted "only" managed 167.55bhp with 104.36ftlb of torque 15.46bhp and 3.78ftlb of torque down on the new busa!

I own a 2006 zx14 and I love it. Fast as hell and comfortable too. The busa is a beast but sure doesnt have much of a passenger pad. My wife will ride all day with me on the 14

Just in case any of you dont know Kawasasaki has a fighter aircraft division and a lot of aerodynamic testing is done in these facilities. Both bikes are mind boggoling superbikes and I would give anything to own either bike. I own a Kawa, Yamaha and Suzuki and simply sit back to wait for the next King to arrive, be it a Honda or Yamaha or whatever, the bikes are all faster and handle better than 99 percent of guys can ever go.

I know it's just a matter of personal preference, but I like Busa's styling better.

No mistake, both are AMAZING machines. To say one is better is REALLY splitting hairs. At some point, it just depends more on the driver and the modifications, you know?

I give Busas a lot of shit, but yes they are both great machines. My buddy who has been riding for 20+ years could prob beat me on a bike half the size. I just hate it when the Busa guys just say it's better, even though all the reviews say that te ZX14 is the superior bike (even if it is by a second)

Top speed is the same, both are limited to 300km/h (187mph) due to an agreement between Suzuki and Kawasaki that if they didn't do so there would be a large amount of government interention due to "safety issues"

ummmmm, no... the world record for a hayabusa is 265.4mph, and that was on a highly modified and turbocharged bike. Stock, the top speed is 190.2mph. Considering the fact that the zx14 isn't as aerodynamic, it won't go much faster. Shear muscle can only go so far
